  1. @horton so does the price include a couple sets at your lake behind your centurion if I were to make the 25 hr drive down?? And what is behind the meaning of project?
  2. I plan on picking up a direct drive just for skiing, not going to be fussy just something clean and had good maintenance. Don't care how old either.
  3. Great finals! Don't recall too much as I was mesmerized by Nates off side turns...... #buttery
  4. Surprised at TW result but like you say anything can happen.
  5. Slalom until beer o'clock then round the day out with some surfin usually. Kids are kneeboarders and every once in a while I lose my grip on reality and go out to show them how it's done, shortly there after I get a firm reminder of why I don't do it.
  6. I've done some pretty crazy/borberline stupid things in my day. Name your price.?
  7. I try to do as much as I can unless it's computer related. Most dealers around here are about 500 bones give or take a 100 for a winterize/service... I can do it myself for about $100.... 3 or 4 hundy can buy a lot of beer.. And the going shop rate is well north of 110 an hour here
  8. I like to call this evolution, the only 4 skis I have ever bought in my 29 years of skiing, first one at 10yrs o src="https://us.v-cdn.net/5017617/uploads/editor/ep/nyoml5x7rfow.jpg" alt="" />
  9. @Horton you really gotta stop braggin already, the closet thing to a ski handle I have held in the past 4 months is a shovel and frankly it's just not the same..... Been a mild winter for the most part but Mother Nature lets us know when she isn't happy still..... #canadianwinterproblems
  10. I have issues on my 2010, lots of pitting no peeling yet, I can keep it polished so it looks good but eventually I will have to get it redone also
  11. It might seem like a strange suggestion but YouTube it, there is tons of therapy/exercise stuff on there for these specific things. That's where I found the extreme hot / extreme cold thing for my wrists which did seem to help.
  12. @mylemsky I'm not too Sure, I know I brought a whack of it back to canada with me! And it seems to me you can only find it at Walgreens. I see it's on amazon too
  13. Anything you can do to reduce swelling of the tendon and increase the blood flow will speed up the healing process. When I was down at @Swini ski school Whitney just got a deal with a product called muscle care, it's an all natural roll on type absorbine, it is absolutely unreal, I couldn't lift my arms in the mornings, roll it on first thing and had enough relief to ski by 9 am.
  14. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that I don't believe for a minute that bigger displacement is the answer for the higher altitude places. With all the modern technology in fuel injection I Would say with the proper tune on the ECM these engines would make all kinds of adequate power. Don't get me wrong I am a huge believer in "no replacement for displacement" but for those who are working on a budget and don't want to fork out the extra cheddar for the engine upgrade, I would say a good engine tuner ( not a chip, an actual person to reprogram) for a few hundred bucks and about 3/4 of an hour could blow your mind with the difference. I personally use one of these guys on my diesels. For instance I have a 2004 gmc duramax, I have a turbo back 4 " exhaust, everything else is stock, I had him build me a 100 hp tune over stock, I have been running it for 6 years with no issues and it makes 27 mpg all day long. He also has a tune that is getting the 6L GM well into the 20s mpg and added horsepower, even without touching the emissions crap!
  15. May 20 ish... And back out by October..
  16. I ran through almost a 2 year battle in both wrists (flexer tendon) it was brutal, it was a direct effect of my job. I taped, wore boxing wraps to work, cortisone, relaxed, you name it, I was submersing my hands in hot water ( as hot as I could handle without burning myself ) for 3 min, then switching to ice water for 1 min, hurt like you wouldn't believe but got the blood flowing, do it as many times as you want a day. I felt like it made a big difference. I'm not sure what really ultimately fixed it but I'm thankful it's gone. I was in so much pain it would wake me from a dead sleep. Good luck!
  17. At wildhorse pass last April it was 88 ish air temp, 74 water and there was a couple wearing wetsuits, and Ed the driver says he won't ski with air under 90... I'm sure everyone has skied cold water but up north here if you wait for warm water you would never ski
  18. I'm old and not very good. Starting to figure out what my dad meant when he used to say " I wouldn't do that, your gonna regret it when you get older"
  19. @T-fromTO‌ if the county/district your lake resides in is like most, they won't even notice if you were to sneak a couple hundred feet extra on there!!! The green behind the ears graduated adolescent that is issuing the permits probably has no clue as to what your even doing! Every year just sneak a few feet extra on and just tell them your doing preventative maintenance, upkeep if you will.... ; )
  20. Pretty much the only pay as you go is wildhorse pass, probably an hour and a bit from Scottsdale. Ed fisher is who you would talk to. He is 80years young and can get through 28 @30 mph. This has been quite the can of worms topic in the past....
  21. A 17 or 19 pitch high 5 will probably make a considerable difference, another old school we used to use was starting the boat at a 45 degree or more angle and as soon as the driver hits, straighten the boat to the skier, trust me it will snap you out in a wicked hurry
  22. Where is a good neutral hotel to stay if a guy was wanting to visit a good portion of the ski lakes? Mapple, Swiss, Swini, travers, the boarding school, wouldn't ski them all, just like to see the facilities?
  23. @gt2003‌ what are you running for a prop? Pitch? 3 or 5 blade?
  24. I believe that Mac tools or summit or any of the other specialty parts/tool companies build a pneumatic recovery vacuum for things like brake fluid, trans oil, diff oil etc. prob $100 I'm guessing but that is a drop in the bucket vs a set of injectors or paying shop rate for a mechanic.
  25. @gt2003‌ you may notice a slight difference on the pull up. What are you running for a tow boat?
