  1. I have a been very happy with my ShoreMaster vertical 4K lb lift, well made and good support. replaced one cable in 12 years. They are out of MN I believe, something good actually does come out of that state. (Sorry MS couldn't resist!)
  2. Glad it's back in on piece! That is actually one of the color schemes I was considering. I believe that is a new color for 2016, 'Slate Aqua'
  3. Did you ski on Easter Sunday Shell? I was our only nice day so far this year!
  4. I skied best behind a 94 PS and my 2000 Cent. Eclipse but probably had a lot to do with the Accuski cruise systems and my body being two decades fresher! "The older I get the better I was"
  5. I think they may have started putting them on in '15, my '16 order sheet lists the strainer as standard and a flush kit as an additional $350.
  6. Has anyone put one on a Carbon Pro? Unfortunately I believe the CP pylon is 3" diameter perhaps it's just 2.8" like the above mentioned SN??
  7. @MISkier thanks for the kind words on the 'True Blue' 6LCP, there were several personal best scores recorded behind it last year but I believe your's was the only one done in August in full dry suit. ;-) To quote Horton, "You don't need the 6L in the Carbon Pro but you Want it". It is certainly welcome at sites with short set ups and of course at jump events, you do have to make sure drivers know the engine is in the boat so they don't 'hammer' the pull outs. I believe PCM calls the engine "half-closed cooling" it is nice to have here in Michigan since the heater, uses anti-freeze vs. raw water, no worrying about the heater core over the winter.
  8. I do miss being able to pull my back foot out when I drop. I have always said it cuts down my sets by a pass or two. Great idea... you might have a side business for Ballers that want that convenience! I'll take two!
  9. Very clever set up, do you reach down and release it if you are dropping for a rest? Then put it back in when you get up, I guess it just takes some practice, at first thought I would be worried about getting it back in time on short set-up situations.
  10. Having tried to make the change to new boots and a new ski at once and failing "royally" ------I would suggest maybe trying the new bindings on your 'old faithful' ski first. Good Luck! Enjoy Swiss S.S.
  11. I have skied at PBWS a few times, nice convenient spot for sure, decent conditions most of the time considering it's not private water.
  12. I haven't skied the course on Shannon but have seen it a few times, appears to be in a good spot well protected from wind and wallys. Perhaps I'll get an invite this year? (@B_S)
  13. Looks sharp! Are you letting Silver Spray take it to the boat show? Where will that boat live in MI @B_S ??
  14. It would be nice to have more 3 Event boats at the shows but when you think about how much it costs for each dealer to attend a boat show and the limited floor space, plus where they make most of their profits...... it's understandable.
  15. @Horton I am sure there are many ballers here that would be happy to come out for a few days and give you a good drive in return for some quality pulls and a beverage or two. "Baller Drive&Ride" ??
  16. @lpskier It's nice to know there are a few AccuSki systems still in use out there, I gave mine up grudgingly. Very smooth pull, great interface and features for its "day"....or was it a just "second"? ha
  17. @DanE makes a good point. Not only do you need to promote the sport, and the gear but the "star quality" competitors in the sport. I have always thought 3 event competition could be more attractive to a wider audience and easier to sell to sponsorship and a minor TV deal. There could still be "specialists" that compete in just one for category but if the most money and promotion was on the best overall skiers we might see some great competition over a season.
  18. That appears to be a Classic Kirby vacuum, expensive but built to work and last for decades....why can't skis be like that? ha
  19. As I recall from a conversation with Mike B the 190 and 200 had the same running surface. The 190 was the closed bow and had the fuel tank on the floor under the rear seat (not removable if I recall) the 200 had the playpen bow and a clear floor in back along with a massive trunk (MB's signature feature of the time). I skied a couple of the 200's and the wakes and build quality was impressive. If you find a well cared for boat it should be a nice pull.
  20. Keep in mind. "Public water" in the midwest(.. smaller lakes with considerate neighbors) can be much different than water in the southeast or the west IMO. One way to grow our sport would be to get more courses on public water along with education and encouragement while floating around the buoys. I love to ski private ski sites but public lakes are the where most skiers get started. The seems comparable to those golfers that play at a private club in under 3 hrs vs. those of us that 'hack around' at a county park track lasting 5+ hrs?
  21. REALLY Nice boats @Ryno and @VONMAN!.....The Barefoot warrior is a true classic and I always thought that Malibu Flightcraft - Barefooter was the best looking boat out there. I would think many Ballers have soft spots for outboards and the old Mercs, 'Rudes' and Johnsons since most of us learned to ski behind them when we were kids. Except probably @Horton!
  22. The CP platform does sit a few inches off the water line, definitely higher than older boats whose platforms were right at the water. By observation I think the CP is maybe an inch higher than the new MC and about the same as the 2016 TXi. Have never had an issue with water over the transom. You can dip the bow in wakeboard rollers in open water!
