  1. I don't know how I missed checking the option box when ordering for..... "__ 4 Awesome Eagle Babes included in Carbon Pro" Nice looking boat @‌waterskigirl
  2. Awesome looking boat, I ski behind a standard 93 and it's wake is nearly perfect!
  3. @kstateskier yep the BOS CP 1.0 will be protected by it's cover for half the year, sadly here in the "mitten" it will be tucked away in a heated garage for the other half. @matt Zito, I saw you out there on Saturday -- looked like some good skiing going on, Doug who you met is a barefoot 'animal' I had a golf outing to go to, my dock is directly south of the west end of the course, stop by sometime.
  4. @Matt Zito and @mcdrew, I'm on Big Lake just west of Clarkston off Andersonville Road. Still figuring out Z-Off! The course should be in for another month.... Message me. Let me know when you want to take a run.
  5. BOS Carbon Pro "1.0" has found it's new home, just in time for the cold front to hit! AGH
  6. That will be a perfect boat for what you described. $12K is a reasonable offer. I just took delivery of my 3rd Centurion thanks to @Horton‌ ! Good Luck
  7. @matt I ski just north of White Lake, West of Clarkston.
  8. I have been in a couple.....it's a good overall boat, great for family use and some course skiing, the hull is a stretched and widened version of the Eclipse which was a tournament caliber boat at that time......(kind of like how Malibu took the LX and made a 21' Lxi). Lots of storage and fairly solid overall, just didn't sell that well as V-Drives were starting to take over. Make sure there aren't any stress cracks or signs of abuse and you should be good, I have only seen the Merc Magnum MPI Skier engine in the this boat, a Scorpion would be a nice upgrade, can probably get it for a nice price.
  9. Meanwhile, BOS CP 1.0 is almost to MoTown! Should be skiing by Tuesday evening.
  10. I just got a large one based on BOS input. I'm 5'11" 190 and it fits nice...very snug, first few times out I have had to get help zipping it up. it is nice and warm took on very little water when I was in this morning.... but today my rear leg started taking on water on my starts.... anyone have this problem? do you put a 'cinch' strap on the rear leg perhaps??
  11. I think my first heater had an in-line fuse kind of like car stereos used to have, might check that too.
  12. Good luck, try and actually ski them before you buy and let the kids try too.....because a few MPH can make a big difference with all the boats.
  13. I put up my collection of 'woodies', used a 2x4 on end with slits at the desired angle for the fins. The other side has a small brass screw that blend in well with the wood finishes so they seem to be floating. I used a 2x4 on both sides but in hind site I could have gotten away with a 2x2 or even 1x2 on the tip-side. The mounting boards are screwed into wall studs at the top and bottom. (As you can see by the bottom ski, the 'wide ride' isn't a new idea! Pat Connelly's Wake Special looks great!)
  14. Dave the lake was glass last night but it was a bit chilly, hope you got out this morning. I will be back at it tomorrow.
  15. OB is right they measure differently that most other makers. I'm 195 on a 66". It's also a fraction wider than their 'pre nano one skis'. (I was on a 65" Nano one last year and it felt a little small for me me, this one feels great)
  16. If you really want to save some $$ you could look at the 'sleeper' Centurions from 2000 - 2007 the Eclipse step over OB or the T5 Walk-thru. Similar hulls that produced surprisingly small soft wakes for under $20K. But if you want newer the Nautique 200OB is hard to beat. Malibu Responses are darn nice too with a lot of room.
  17. Go easy at the gates, maybe even try to skip the gates start at one ball a few times t until you find your rhythm. Have fun
  18. What we need is a "Warren Miller of Waterskiing" I vote for OB or Horton to step up...start with a 20 min short?
  19. That's my mark too, gates at platform for 22, mid ship at 28, and front of boat for 32-35. I hope to someday figure out what to do at 38'off!
  20. OB are you skiing at whitestone now? Bringing my boat down to Lanier for the winter, anyone have a 'hidden course' the might with a baller??
  21. 20 miles northeast of ya Ernie, but you are welcome to come try it. Hopefully it will also be at a few tournaments next season.
  22. I will take good care of her Horton! You can visit in Michigan.
  23. We also ski on a floating course in a public lake in Michigan. We often have to ask early morning fishermen if they mind we ski thru the course and if they can move just a bit so we can turn around or not rock them too bad. I would say 99 times out of 100 it's not a problem, some even ask what exactly the balls are for and we explain the process, we also explain where the cables and anchors are so they don't snag. We usually have to replace a boat guide or two per month usually due to weekend tubers and wake boarders. a few minor repairs seem like a small price to pay to have use of the course and enjoy the other actives of a public lake.
  24. Yep the adjustable molded gun racks look very similar to what Mike at MB had designed and offered until he went...all wakeboard all the time! ha
