  1. So sad. Picking up my boat today for winter sleep? Snow and cold came early. We didn’t even have time for a good leaf-rake.
  2. It’s great so far. I haven’t been able to do the workouts on the days assigned but Bojan has been awesome in reloading for the days I can.
  3. Most I’ve skied in decades. Plan for more next season.
  4. @ErikBerghiller will there be a tower mount option?
  5. I am interested. @ROBOT I visited the website but didn’t see anything. Do you know when it will be available?
  6. Mount on the tower? For those of us that have one...
  7. Because...sun, water, ski boats, bikinis, sunrises, sunsets, friends, fun, laughing, exilerating, dopamine, wipeouts, spray, glassy glass...?
  8. Does this work? https://photos.app.goo.gl/FbhFQ1esoZqUXjLb9
  9. To get to the surface I start to swim down instead of up.
  10. @jstaab3 what did that do for engine noise?
  11. Nothing here through the Ambassador site, but we picked up 3-former UW skiers who saw my buddy’s MC at the launch ramp and asked him for a pull. We’ve got a great crew going now.
  12. Same. Do this every day for 2.weeks. Worked for me. +1 on a good warmup, especially focusing on hips, flutes, and hamstrings prior to skiing. Lastly, do you push hard on your back leg to cause the ski to come around during the turn? I find that the pain is most prevalent when I do this.
  13. @ESPNSkier I feel your pain. I struggle with the same thing. @UWSkier will attest that I’m no Uber-technician, but here is my $0.02. One thing that “must be true” in order for the ski to naturally cone around is for the water to be breaking in front of your front boot. Otherwise if only theback of the ski is in the water then the ski will not come around and you’ll lose all your speed. My problem is that I have 38yrs of a straight front leg that causes my weight to be back on the ski. If I bend my front leg to get the water to break up on the ski...my butt goes back and I’m back to where I started. I have to figure out an off-season drill or something to break this.
  14. I’m a relative novice on this forum but I’ve probably taught 50+ ppl how to get up on a slalom ski cuz I lost so many skis letting ppl drop. best advice: focus on the front of the ski. Keep the tip 8” out of the water and in front of you. Focusing on this will allow your natural balance skills to take over. Secondly, keep your arms straight and don’t pull yourself up by pullin your arms I to your chest. Follow these 2 rules and you’ll be up within 5 attempts from my experience.
  15. I skied with a broken pinky a couple years back. I waited a couple weeks with a brace then just skied. It didn’t hurt much while skiing but hurt a lot a afterwards.
  16. I have the ‘00 sunsetter lxi and it is a great ski boat. Extremely popular for those who want the performance of a tournament wake and the room (almost) of a v-drive. The price is too high, though. I agree with @nam1975 : high teens in USD.
  17. Maybe. Here’s an article about wetsuits that I believe also applies to neoprene vests. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.deepbluediving.org/does-neoprene-shrink/amp/
  18. Sadly...I’d say only $6-7k. I saw a mint one earlier this season that was white/blue for $6k. Better find a sentimental buyer.
  19. I made the switch about 2 yrs ago. It really helped my offside, which surprised me because I didn’t think it would make a difference. It took about 3-4 times out before it felt reasonably normal. Sometimes I forget which way is “right”. It was worth it.
  20. It’s the “peanut butter” color interiors that are so popular now that confuse me. I think it’s really ugly and will be hot in the sun.
  21. With kids who may or may not like skiing I wouldn’t go for a pure ski boat. I have an ‘00 sunsetter lxi and it’s a wonderful family boat and has a better wake than most every MC I’ve skied behind. If it were me, I’d seriously consider a ‘07-‘15 Malibu VTX. You can ski at your speeds no problem, it has great room for kids, and can surf, which I bet your kids will be more likely to be into. This is the best option for you if you ask me.
  22. Can do both. I drag cuz it’s easier. My son keeps his back foot in.
