  1. @Skiphreak i think that isn’t an LXi. Not as plush or as good a ski wake.
  2. I have owned both a sunsetter Lxi and Now own a ‘12 response TXi. The TXi doesn’t handle chop well, lacks a lot of creature comforts of the Sunsetter, not as much freeboard, easily chili dips on even the smallest wakes if someone is in the bow, interior isn’t as plush… After 2 summers my wife has finally stopped pointing these things out. I bought my SSLXI when I had a young family that wanted to boat all day, teach the kids to ski, wakeboard, and yes (gasp!) tube while allowing a great slalom wake for me. It is an awesome boat. Keep looking, they come up online but go very quickly so be prepared to move.
  3. As of this post, almost 75% are over 45. Not great for the future of our sport ?
  4. Pre-covid I flew United and they have an exception for ski equipment. It just counts as a check in bag. Not sure if that’s changed post-covid.
  5. I’d like to ski at a place called “No Wake Lake”. That’s a ballsy name, man!
  6. The best years for slalom are ‘00-‘04. Definitely the LXi. They are great boats. tons of room, great quality, great wakes, lots of amenities...Though I love the wake and pull of my ‘12 response TXi, I regret selling my ‘00 SSLXI to this day.
  7. @ScottScott it does say “negotiable” ?‍♂️
  8. There’s always another boat...if you aren’t sure on it then I’d pass.
  9. That Oompa Loompa tattoo has got to be one of the weirdest and surprisingly disturbing things I’ve seen.
  10. If you are new to inboards I suggest a bow stop. Price is about the same as a replacement prop. ?
  11. @Horton I replace every other season so I’ve replaced once since this. I ski probably 50 sets on a good season.
  12. Pic from 4 years ago when I didn’t replace it actively. 2 displaced ribs...ouch!
  13. @DangerBoy i didn’t mean to offend!! It just seemed so weird. Thanks for sharing!!
  14. It’s hard to determine if the OP is just playing a sick joke or if this is really a thing. It would take a lot of reviews and validation through sites like planetnautique, Themalibucrew, and MC teamtalk for me to try it.
  15. Buyers always control markets in the end. If there’s enough buyers, then the makers will figure out a way to supply them. This is a buy problem...not a supply one.
  16. Yeah...that didn’t work. You ready for a beer?
  17. I made this switch a few years back after about 35 years switch grip. First 2 sets: this feels impossible. Crazy something so “small” would keep me from skiing well. Next 2 weeks: I’m starting to not notice, and my offside turn really IS better. 1month: what hand goes up again? Crap...both grips feel both right and wrong 6 weeks. New normal. I think the switch was worth it. Each person needs to decide for themselves.
  18. I did ski in March...in Utah! Second pic is the lake at my cottage. Still too solid for skiing but not too soft for ice sailing!
  19. @uwskier and I are Malibu dudes. I’m not sure about MC. Sorry man.
  20. Definitely use a pump. I have installed two heaters and being able to have heat while idle is definitely worth it. Waaaaay better than the wye. 21. Start slow and build up. My mantra is “no pain...no pain”. The easiest way to end working out or injury is TMTS...Too Much Too Soon. Do core, body weight workouts and yoga.
