  1. Having gone 3 seasons and 3 new skis. Top 10 reasons why you should concider changing skis.
  2. Maybe the answer here is a much longer PP cable and relocating the servo assembly? I have seen some super long ones on outboards.
  3. It looks to me that the servo motor cable is what needs to be replaced. The servo cable stops in the brass coupler that joins the OEM throttle cable leading to the hand controls.
  4. @DW FUNNY! I have contemplated using a grid coupler which would just complicate the whole thing. KISS prevails.
  5. @jjackkrash according to this episode either FB boot forward or pull fin back towards tail. IMHO - which one would depend on what else is going on with your wake crossings and off side turn but the finer adjustment would be the fin unless you have some sort of micro adjustment on your boot. I decided to take my 2020 Omega back to stock #'s and roll through the set up process as per Ep17. My numbers did not end too far from what they were prior but far enough to give me a better refined feeling and performing ski . My earlier Aug 25th post was with my D3R2 ski. I now have 2 skis that are rocking it much better than they were before. Once again - Thank you Trent and Chris
  6. @fu_man Remove the packing assembly from the shaft. Grease the shaft then I center the shaft with clay and then use a condom to seal the shaft to the log.....zip ties to keep condom in place. Allowed 1/2 rotation in either direction. I admit it was a lot of work for very little adjustment compared to what I had on the trailer but it got rid of the slight shimmy in my ass when I was driving. OCD?
  7. Question? Are you aligning on the trailer or floating on the water. I found that there is a difference so I always align in the water.
  8. Lincoln makes an end for a grease gun that slides on zirks from the side instead of head on. Link here and here for an example of the adaptor. I attached mine to a flexible grease whip to be able to get it into tight quaters and then attach the gun to the zirk end I put on the other end of the hose.
  9. The last set up tip in this episode sealed my set up for me. I now have equally good solid turns on both sides. Cannot ever thank these guys enough for sharing.
  10. Was there not an app for your phone for this? I cannot recall what it was called.
  11. Wild! We have these in our lake but they only grow to the size of a mandarin orange and at the shallow south end of the lake. I always wondered what they were. Thank you for posting this.
  12. Our local tool rental has a simular A frame made of aluminium that bolts together and rolls on all terrain tires. Works well.
  13. Have either of you had your puck firmware updated when the rollover happened a while ago? If not seach BOS for the thread as it has all the info you need. I also mount the pucks on the side of the boat back of the driver's seat. I found if you have a steel tower it seems to mess up the anttenna on some boats.
  14. I have a new aquantance who just purchased a new G26. Mid day I had him take my 97 BB out on the water with about 5/6 surfers out in our bay. Needless to say my interior got a good soaking and now he IDLES out to about 1000ft from shore before they start surfing. Managed to educate one and just maybe he will start to spread the knowledge.
  15. It's a great ski. Demo one at the least. My buddy has a 69 and it rebooted his once dead skiing and now skis better than ever.
  16. I got the Omega dialed decently this morning and again was able to match PB on it. The nod still goes to the R2. Like @Dano said the more you are able to ski forward the higher the rewards. The stability of the R2 in all phases wins me over.
  17. @Dano My story is the same only I had a HO Omega between the C65 and the R2. I have been experiencing the same....ride to my PB virtually every outing. I am actually parking the R2 for a bit even though my growth has been tremendous on it. I feel I have left someting on the table with the Omega so I am returning to see if I can get it to perform as well as the R2. That will help decide if to sell the Omega or not. Life is good having 2 such great skis to ride.
  18. @Mastercrafter Super nice job on the custom rebuild.
  19. Ditto on enjoying mine comment. Quickly becoming my all time favorite.
  20. Omega skis are shallow convave to make them ride higher according to ads. My 2020 67 Omega rides very high in the water.
  21. Radar Vectors?
  22. The last 3 episodes have been very timely for me - clearing up small details and boosting my consistancy. End result has been my condidence has never been higher which is allowing me to ski in auto pilot a lot more of the time giving me the chance to actually enjoy the moment. I could not thank Trent and Chris enough for sharing. The work put into this will remain the go to reference for years to come. They deserve some kind of special award.
  23. This Ebay offering looks pretty good. You get the complete pump rebuild kit for the price of an impeller. Link to the page here I have a friend with the same pump in his old boat and he is ordering one.
