1st 2022 vapor ride report…wow Haven’t skied in couple weeks so didn’t push anything . Ran a couple 22s, couple 28s and up to my average of about midway through -32. Have to get used to gate pull out compared to 2021. It’s still fast and glides well. Noticed if I even got slightly flat on the glide it was twitchy. I’m guessing the deeper tunnel and new bevels really want to make it roll on edge and build angle quickly. About the 3 or 4th gate I settled down. Still working on the gate timing but was able to keep the glide on outer edge and avoid the “twitch”. Turns in quickly and builds angle with a solid steady feel. Conditions were calm tonight and it just cut so smoothly. Rock solid feel and felt like less effort. As advertised it skis slightly more tip up then the 2021. Builds crazy angle off the ball and was very early on a few passes. allowed me to get away with a few turns I shouldn’t have and keep moving forward. And my off-side…..wow. Just kept over the ski and carved around with perfect angle when I hooked up. Was just a quick first set. Didn’t push it but this one feels like a keeper. Can’t wait to get dialed in settings. Im exactly at 66” stock numbers from the Radar site. I never skied really well on my 20/21 but the 2022 feels it suits my style better. Go get one!!!

@Zman ?. Overthink much ?lol. Use with standard Reflex setup. Might have its own plate from Radar it basically same operation as the reflex binding system…. Not the one with the heel cup support. You don’t release from the boot. Boots releases from latching mechanism as all reflex boots do. Just a different and more comfortable boot. Assuming just like the Vapor boot now with removable/moldable liner.

I found an iPhone 6 on eBay. Use it with wakeye and works great. Stays with my ski, no SIM card. Strictly video machine

Can’t wait to get the boot. My reflex has been hacked, sawed, bolted, chopped, duct taped, drilled, run over, etc in search of perfection. I’ve seen the new radar boot and it’s sick.

@jjackkrash whats fin settings did you use? My 66 is on the way. Same as posted on Radar site? Only see one set of numbers posted. Also see brooks said only one set out as that what worked best.

I have a 2020 and 2021 Radar vapor Pro (66”) for sale cheap. You could get a new ski and ski school ?. Ski school is never a bad investment though

I know this as been discussed in the past but what the best iPhone again for wakeye? I think after the 6 no bueno ? I had an older model that worked great but can’t recall which. Going to check eBay for a 5 or 6 non plus model.

Go for the Graphite. Great open water ski and can really learn to rip in the course. Very forgiving as well

I started with Wakeye App but when I went to iPhone X it became useless. Prob just get an older iPhone strictly for wakeye
