  1. Measure back of heel just under the plastic piece where the binding latches. Sometimes there is fabric there from the strap that prevents hyperextension of ankle. Push measuring tape up as far as it will go under there. Comes to be about back of heel. Radar numbers are on website. Depends on year. Older model is about 29 1/2 Short/deep 29 5/8 long/short settings. For 2020+ more like 29 1/2 to 29 1/4. I’ve used up to 29 3/4 for a whisper fin.
  2. My gf lives up in Abbotsford. Always wanted to ski there
  3. I can’t delete my old skis.....what’s the trick?
  4. Will pass that along. Not sure our timeline for implementation. We talked for next season sometime.
  5. Not yet. We are exploring that option for next season at our Avon, CT site...better known now as 8Von
  6. @ColeGiacopuzzi Will do.. wing 9 deg?
  7. Had a tendency to finish the turn and knees would bent as the load came on, which made me squat. Was trying to get tall at the ball and finish the turn strong and in position to be stacked. It’s way better now than it was...offside I just naturally found myself in a better position as I reconnect to the handle and lean away taller. Work in progress
  8. @ColeGiacopuzzi can’t wait to try it. Those numbers are for a 66 correct?
  9. I didn’t get a chance. Was out of town for a while and when I returned was only able to get one more quick set in before we pulled the course for the season. I plan on heavy video training starting next season and early spring sets in Florida. Will post up. Thanks though., been thinking hard about those concepts. Video will tell all One thing I can say is now my offside stack/pull is better then my onside. I’ve been trying to stand tall off the ball and my onside tends to squat as I complete the turn and take the load. My offside I get on it hard and really lean away straight and tall
  10. @ColeGiacopuzzi youre the first I’ve heard running S/D on a 2020/21. My season ended yesterday but will give it a try again in the spring. Been running L/S on my 2020. Will have a 21 by next season. Did you run the same set up on a 2020 or did something change? Let us know what numbers are working. On a 66. I didn’t realize there was a change in surface area on the 21? Being at the top of weight range (170) for my 66 I hope I feel the difference. Wonder what changed. Thought it was same ski just a material change.
  11. So any more Info on fin settings? Still mostly running Long/Shallow?
  12. @liquid d I would try it but my season ended today.
  13. @jeidmann Nailed it. Still waiting on a productive response
  14. I tried stock at 29 1/2 today on 1st set and my off side came back. On the second set I tried wing at 8deg and felt smoother and free of the boat. Water temp was about 63 and basically end of season here in CT unless I head to Florida. I try to only make one change at a time and will need to try those changes at warmer temps but wishing i made the move earlier in season. May try 29 5/8s again with the 8 deg wing but going to wait until I get more time at current set up
  15. Thanks. Your running short/deep? I need to change something. On a 66 at L/S but 29 5/8.
  16. I’ll have to try that. Never got my 17, 18, or 19 to work L/S. Only S/D. Opposite for the 2020. How far forward on the boots ?
  17. @lpskier what size ski? I’m on a 66 and ended up 1/8 forward of stock on front binding. Was running the whisper fin for a while but switched back to stock fin at long/short. It works but needs some tweaking.
  18. So what’s the deal? Website has zero info. Usually ride a 66 so go to 65?
  19. Been using them since early 90s. Used the original clinchers for years. Tried the radar versions but ended up with Masterline. Don’t know if I could ever go back. Saved my elbows and countless passes.
  20. I grew up on Nautiques so I’m biased toward CC, but I hope Mastercraft has upped their quality game. My ski club gets a new Mastercraft Prostar every year and I’ve been disappointed every year with the simple crap the breaks and falls apart on every new boat. Our boats are rode hard and put away wet averaging about 500 hrs a year. As a stripped down hard core ski boat the wake and hull are great and makes for a good club boat but the quality is garbage. Every year the driver seat breaks, the gas gauge is worthless, and seams to have some engine issue early on. This new Prostar looks like they finally stepped up their game and looking forward to getting behind it next season. On another note, does anyone have a pic of the windshield sight lines for driving the course? I’ve flown a number of aircraft with a HUD (Head Up Display) so I know I’m going to love this feature. It’s so simple to do and can’t believe we are just seeing this in 2021. Should have been used years ago. Great feature for experienced and newer course drivers.
  21. Wide and high gates and standing tall as possible have been my main focus this season. I guess you could say the rest is a result of those fundamentals. Obviously lots to work on to get through 32
  22. Great..now I’m thoroughly confused. Every thread I read on BOS basically preaches those techniques (staying connected, elbows tight, arm pressure, counter rotation, etc). You guys are killin me. If your not “teaching” those things then what are you teaching? If you teaching something then you should be able to explain. What’s the old saying....if you can’t explain something simply, then you don’t understand it.
  23. @scoke I’d like to hear your theory on this. How is elbows tight again ribs off the second wake impeding me? Before I wasn’t staying connected and giving it right back to the boat. At this point I’m a sponge for knowledge trying to break the 32 wall so fire away. What really helped and resulted in the “light bulb” moment was staying connected off the second wake with tight elbows, back arm pressure, and making the effort to separate edge change and reach. The result was riding the line with less effort and max width.
  24. Things are starting to click now and running my 28s at a much higher percentage. Heavy tailwind usually bites me. My success can be attributed to earlier edge change and elbows pinned and now the space I’m generating is a game changer. This week I dropped the -22/32 and started at -22/34 both in practice and a tournament and has worked out well. My wall is 2-4 balls at -32/34 every time so I figured the -22/32 wasn’t doing much for me. I can run -22/34 twice in practice if I feel it was sloppy or conserve energy in a 3 round tournament by eliminating the slower pass as my -22/34 is almost automatic now. Hopeful that next season I’ll crack the secret to -32 and beyond.
