  1. @Jaypro mix in a few Focal Bangers, some Sip Of Sunshines and maybe an Edward growler and they might give you an extra set.
  2. Finally got him back in the boat tonight. He sat next to me the whole ride. Insisted on touching me the whole time. Note the air dam ... not sure I needed though. He wasn’t leaving my side.
  3. @bishop8950 yeah for sure. He actually spends a good amount of time sleeping in the whaler on sunny days so I think he just associates that with nice things. Its like a hammock that occasionally takes him for rides.
  4. Yeah he's afraid of the dishwasher as well. When he was about 6 months old he was licking some dishes and his collar got caught on the rack. He freaked out and ripped the door off the dishwasher trying to run away. That was over 2 years ago. He still won't go in the kitchen when the dishwasher door is open. My wife opens the dishwasher now when she is cooking and doesn't want him begging. :) Big dogs are fun.
  5. @adkh2oskier He won't even go near the Nautique anymore. He trots out to the dock with me and then goes and stands next to the Whaler. The second I step into the Nautique he turns around and trots right back up to the house with his ears back and head down. :D Poor fella might be scarred for life. Oh well its probably for the best. A true Live and Learn story.
  6. @teammalibu not gonna argue with you on that one Lesson learned... the easy way ... I guess
  7. @Drago oh dear that was a poor choice of wording wasn’t it. Man that was not intentional.
  8. Sorry my first post lost the second half of my content. The part with the punchline of course. I fixed it. Heh yeah he’s just fine. Chasing squirrels and dragon flies in the back yard as always.
  9. My boy Bruno is a 70 lb rescue mix with some Rotti and a bunch of other things in him. He is dumb as a box of rocks but he’s a sweetheart and loves riding in the boat. This is his favorite spot to ride. Right now a bunch of you are cringing just looking at that pic. I know. Here’s the thing though. I’ve had dogs in boats for my entire life. 40+ years of mutts riding the bow like this and not once had an issue. Sigh (shakes head) Well me and my boy went out for a spin early evening yesterday to check the conditions at the course site. On the way out it was a zoo on the lake. (Public lakes ... grrr). Boat chop was out of control. He’s usually pretty good at riding out a few rollers and I’m careful not to slow too quickly but we hit this weird double crossing wake and the poor guy went right over the front. At 30 mph! I slam the boat into neutral and every horrible thought imaginable goes through my head. I turn around expecting the worse and out he pops dead center in the wake, ears back, eyes bugging out in that “what the eff just happened way”, paddling his brains out back to the boat. I haul his ass back on the platform and he’s got his tail between his legs, fully body shakes. I inspect his whole body. Not a mark on him. He starts licking my face as if he’s apologizing for doing something wrong. After shaking and soaking the entire boat he crawls under the dash and curls up in a ball and won’t come out until we are back at the dock. Let me tell you there is not much space in a SN 200 cockpit with a 70 lb dog at your feet. I guess I’ll be putting the air dam in from now on when Bruno is in the boat. Ps here he is pretending to be a lapdog while I write this.
  10. Cool thanks folks. Quick answers to some of the questions sprinkled throughout. ZO speed control I skied 36 in college in a few tournaments but never got past 15 off. Well I got 2 at 22 but meh Agree with you @bdecker I think I need to lock things down wrt form, width, timing and it’s just not worth fighting everything at 36 As much as I like the feel of 36 I do notice those small mistakes have a much greater likelihood to result in disastrous outcomes at 36 vs 34. Probably just need to accept who I am. #deepthoughts
  11. OK I am 44 year old, never really made it, wannabe slalom skier. I generally free ski at 36 and 28 off. I just love the way this feels. In the course I generally have to slow way down. On a good day 34 feels reasonably manageable to me but its so different. Ideally would like to start skiing some tournaments again next year where I'll be at max speed 34 right? So my question is ... am I actually hurting myself by freeskiing at 36. Should I just hold at 34 and get really comfortable with the way the ski feels at 34? Maybe even set my ski up for 34mph (fin, wing)? or is there actually benefits to freeskiing at 36 and then slowing down in the course? Given how weird things feel I doubt thats the case but I thought I check with some of you that actually know a thing or two. All in at 34 or keep hanging with the kids at 36?
  12. I wonder if you could make it through that tunnel with a 200 with a crap ton of ballast onboard. Those sloped walls and all. Get a couple of those those after market fat sacs the surfers use and fill before you go through and dump on the other side. Seems like depth is not a problem. Love my Blue 200 ... I fully support the quest for blue.
  13. We are using these on a recommendation from @Bdecker https://www.amazon.com/Promar-FL-614W-Buoy-Floats-Large/dp/B01MQ4OQOC/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1534781017&sr=8-1&keywords=foam+lobster+buoy We slice them into 1" thick donuts with a chop saw. You get about 8 out of each whole buoy I think. Nice and easy to see.
  14. Yeah I mean like I said it’s useless to me so make me an offer. :)
  15. @Than_Bogan well At the request of some of the investors and the property owner I removed the plans that I had included in the original post. The plans made it pretty easy to search google maps. It was a sat view of the pit. They'd prefer we keep the specifics of the location under wraps until we get some of the legalities better understood so as to avoid stubbing our toe. Suffice it to say its north of Concord. Given you are a New Englander. Hit me up on DM if you want to get involved and/or help out. Or if you just want to know when its done and what membership will look like. :) If we get through this it should be a pretty epic place to ski.
  16. http://www.ski-it-again.com/php/skiitagain.php?endless=summer&topic=Search&category=Propeller&postid=48013 3 Blade Rebuilt 13 x 11 OJ prop that came off a 2009 Prostar 197 with MCX engine. I got into a sand bar and bent the tips slightly so I got a new one and had this rebuilt. Its basically brand new. I could sell as new but felt like being honest. I sold the boat last spring and forgot I had this in the garage. Just came across it. I'm super negotiable on price. This thing is kind of useless to me. Just make it worth my while to box it up and ship it to you.
  17. @"h2o.nhk" hope you and lots of other folks on here get to come ski there some day!
  18. Awesome thanks folks. The pit is in fact still active and properly permitted but it is nearing end of life and the current owner is required by the state to "recover the land" at end of life. So this feels pretty opportunistic. The plan would be to keep digging but maybe accelerate a bit and shape properly from here on out. Nice non reflective banks etc.
  19. I kind of like "Tender" especially the irony of having your dog serve that purpose.
  20. @Chef23 I know @Bdecker well and have skied Dube's. I've been chatting with them. Dube's is kind of a special case from my understanding. Its actually a public waterway. It only has public access for small craft. The ramp the club uses is on private property. We do need to dig into their situation a bit more but technically speaking they are required to follow all state laws on Dube's. I thin they get away with some squishiness on the edges because they have been there for a long time and Dube family connection.
  21. ok @klindy I gotta know ... how did you know about the Cold river? Thats some impressive detective work. :)
  22. We are deep into the process of scoping a location in NH for building a new private ski site. It will be truly amazing once its complete. Gravel pit in the middle of no where surrounded by tall trees on all sides with gorgeous views of the White Mountains to the North. Beautiful clean water source (aquifer fed). Its essentially a series of ponds that have surfaced as the gravel operation hit the water table and they filled. We're going to connect them into a single body. We have investors lined up and the owner of the gravel pit is willing and able to do the digging himself. It's basically a unicorn site. Here's where the questions come in that we could use guidance on from folks that have been through this. In NH all bodies of water over 10 acres are considered public assets. Ie the actual water cannot be private. However this site once completed will be completely surrounded by private land with no public access. Given the water is public but not accessible to the public do we still need to abide by all state water use laws? For instance the total width of the site will be about 260 feet in the Slalom course section. In NH we have a 150 foot rule. A skier must always be at least 150 feet from shore. So even though 260 feet is more than enough for a course it will essentially it will be impossible for the skier to not cross the 150 threshold. Do we care? Do we have to abide by this? In NH you also have to permit on slalom courses on public lakes. Do we have to permit this? What about the Jump? Does anyone operate a Private site in a state with similar laws to NH. Any experience? As far as we can tell this would be the first private man made site in NH. Rendering of final overlaid on a Drone image of the site. (ignore the jump direction ... the designer doesn't ski :) Also not likely to ring the entire lake with boardwalk)
  23. The point of no return Generally not a good idea for the tip to be submerged and the fin completely out right? Ouch
  24. @Andre I did not but I will note it next time I’m out. 34 exact or 34.2?
