@Cnewbert thanks for the tip. I'm in Clearwater and always looking for some nice freshwater lakes in the central part of the state. My daughter goes to school in Orlando.

Bummer. I thought DJI fixed the fly away issue. I started with a DJI vision 2+ years ago and now video waterskiing with my mavic pro. Only way to follow a fast skier is on sport mode but it can be done. My son can pilot the drone from the boat. I prefer to pilot from the dock.

That's great that she's at it after those knee injuries! Where do you ski?

Best video ever! She's so cute and genuinely excited by that ski. Great to see and thanks for sharing. Almost bought that this year for my light 14 year old daughter. Decided instead to have her go for a smaller "adult" ski.

I would try Barge Cement. I've had many shoe manufacturers recommend this product for all-weather shoe repairs. Good stuff.

@ScottScott my wife just reminded me that we met you while we were skiing at Jody's 4 weeks ago. I didn't make the connection. I was there with all three of my kids and you were commenting that you had a friend who had a house for rent nearby. It has now gone full circle! Thanks for your timely advice and recommendation. Working with Gary now to firm this up.

This is a longshot, but I'm wondering if any of the folks in the central florida area know of anyone who rents boats for 3-4 days at the end of July. I'm on the coast in Clearwater and no longer have my own boat. Typically we pay for pulls for my family at Jody's or at Matt Rini's, but I am considering buying a house on a lake and would like to try out the lifestyle with my family by renting a house and a boat for a bit before I purchase. The only boats I can find for rent are pontoon boats! Frustrating, because I have rented boats suitable for skiing in New York, Georgia and South Carolina in the past. Any suggestions would be most appreciated.

Very sad to have no Masters at Callaway Gardens this weekend. It will also have a terrible ripple effect on Callaway for the rest of the summer. The boats are left at Robin Lake after the tournament and used for the rest of the summer. My family has been going up there every summer for the past 20 years and skiing on those boats. Now they will have no skiing on Robin Lake this summer. :'( Memories…

Went to Jody Fisher's Ski School today for a family lesson and my daughter provided me with this nice one.

We just returned from our annual family water ski trip. The big difference for us was a few sessions with Jodi Fisher 6 months ago where he drilled into our heads to keep our knees together so we would remain properly stacked and oriented. This concept really helped my kids. Keeping the knees together really helped us all stay in better position.

I would also suggest Jodi Fisher. I've been there twice with my entire family of various abilities over the past 3 months. Jodi really worked very well with my 13 year old daughter who was struggling with her deepwater slalom starts. She had a great time and really had a confidence boost when we left. Lots of other stuff to do nearby. Check with Jodi since he mentioned he will be teaching in Europe over the summer.

Skied two weeks ago with Jodi Fisher in Orlando. Our first family ski lesson with four of us getting great instruction from Jodi who was a gracious host. The lake was 70 degrees and we all had a blast. Jodi even got us novices out on the course. My 22 year old got to try the Carbon V I picked up for her. My 13 year old got some great pointers for her deepwater starts Even our dog had a great time! Great to ski in December.
