  1. A Goode with Camo graphics. Haven't seen that one yet. Wouldn't want that. Nobody would see me run 41.
  2. All you have to do is look at tournament participation at the local level. It is way lower than back in the 80's. I don't count the Nat's due to different standards. We just ski for fun and exercise now and that is with perfect pass.
  3. Had to look the word up, and still don't get it. Are we talking the rythmn it establishes?
  4. Horton, what do you mean when you say these skis have a different cadence than other skis?
  5. Long line 36 mph is a tough one. 15 and 22 were so easy after starting at 34 mph long line. If I had to choose between 32 off and long line 36, I would go with 32 off.
  6. My boot is working well. My daughter is using one that releases through the cuff. She has taken some nasty falls and they release every time.
  7. There are no skis today that are even close to the Jobe in feel. I have found the Radars to feel similar. The Strada feels close. Most new skis are way flatter and are more stable.
  8. Now the creek was already there. He just modified it with a dam. No polluting ski boats running in it. Just horses drinking and ducks wading. I really fail to see an issue with what could be discharging downstream anymore than if the creek hadn't been dammed up. A heavy rain would discharge water downstream in the same manner. The only issue I could see would be a failure of the dam possibly causing flooding. The EPA has already shut down the lake where one of the earliest Southern Regionals was held in North Carolina for this very reason. Now, the biggest problem I see coming will be the non skiers screaming that we are polluting downstream waters with exhaust emissions from the ski boats.
  9. How many ski lakes would be affected when told to shut down by the EPA? How much would be lost in gas sales would be loss? Would it be a trend the oil companies wouldn't like? Oil company lobbying is a good bet if it was worth their trouble. Probably not.
  10. Maybe it may be more fair to do it like boxing and have weigh in. Have weight classes. I have seen weight gain from adolescents trim performances significantly and big time. If you want to ski competitively be ready to pay for a house (boat),and do not eat. It is just that simple. Otherwise, stay off the dock.
  11. Probably not the most appropriate thought, but I would like to see Chris Brown try to get away with slapping one of those girls around. He just might be a taught a lesson. :)
  12. Oh, it's coming. The threat to watersports on the waterways is there. Let's hope we can stop this.
  13. Put some cherry bombs in place of them. It would sound awesome, maybe. I have seen some folks straight pipe the exhaust when those things failed. I am thinking the pipes looked like stainless steel.
  14. I think Zero Off and the more powerful engines coupled with the boats being bigger, thus not moving due to skier load, is a contributing factor to alot of injuries. If you don't have your technique together when you go against the ZO, be prepared for the pain dished out. I think alot of folks need to slow the speed down, get some coaching and really get their techniques down pat before they start pushing with the shorter lines. Get to where you ski in control and you will progress much faster and hopefully without injuries.
  15. Boot has been shipped, hopefully a large and not the medium size. I sent an email asking for clarification on the sizes. Hopefully, he read those and didn't send me a boot too small. Really don't want to get into shipping stuff back into Canada. That would be a deal breaker for me.
  16. Now, I am getting concerned. Numerous emails, james@jageng.com doesn't work and no replies. Order has been in printing status since day of order two weeks ago. I am thinking now, should have went with a Reflex
  17. Whether u like it or not tourney skiing will c a sharp decline if these boats keep pricing increasing unless folks can ski well behind them while practicing behind older boats.
  18. Has anyone talked with Paul lately? Haven't heard anything from him since I ordered a boot last week. Was a little concerned as most times stuff goes out pretty quick when ordered with Paul.
  19. Chuck Forrest, a few weeks ago ran 15 straight back to back 35 offs and he isn't even competing anymore.
  20. What's the weight chart for a 67" 6.1?
  21. Arguably, both are the best slalom boats built prior to the new SN and 2014 MC.
  22. I ride the a 69.5" Strada which skis wide and early and turns are incredible for a big ski. Dave Goode is the best marketing man in the business but I like Radar stuff for my style. I wouldn' t call it hype but good marketing.
  23. Eplastics.com sells the lexan like the pic above. I believe it can be ordered with the same cutout holes as well. They have the lexan like 1/16th thick with triangle holes throughout. It almost looks identical to the arm guard material. Good stuff.
