  1. The Zbox will still run away if you push the throttle down too far. I have got used to it, so I never have a run away problem when driving. I only push the throttle down just enough to engage the boat at 34 mph. I have often thought of putting a removeable pin set up to prevent the throttle from being pushed down too far.
  2. Back to skiing after about a 10 year hiatus and 70 lbs. Heavier. Can't ski for crap, but I haven't missed my gates. Had an OTF on pull out for gates at 12m. Will new gates fix that? :) Leave gates alone, if I can make them anyone can. I am not even using my corrective lenses and still making them. Maybe not, I can't see. :)
  3. How tall is Jay Leach and is that the ski he was riding? The ski looks to be 6 inches shorter than he so he's got to be at least 5' 11" on a 65 or 66" ski. Bet he can turn the crap out of that ski. :)
  4. Sorry, I just saw the vid. I think most folks, the advanced topic folks are going to say you need to work on being stacked better behind the boat and into the edge change.
  5. Without video here, I am going out on a limb. Most folks who can run 38 off are mostly doing everything right. More than likely you have the handle control down. I am willing to bet that you are opening up too soon at 35, 38 and 39.5 off and I mean just a hair. It catches up to you at 39.5. Concentrate on not opening up too soon going into your offside turn and see if that helps.
  6. You all are missing the most important feature. Cupholders. There is one up on dash to the left of the steering wheel. A 12 oz. Bud fits nicely there. But, seriously, don't drink and drive. Ski responsibly. :)
  7. I believe Eddie has said the the size chart was going to be about the same for the Vapor as the Strada.
  8. Trophy lakes had tons of them, I think. Did you contact them?
  9. Now that would be an awesome ski to ride. They should have a big ride division where you have to ski on a greater than 70" ski. That would be so cool.
  10. I believe that once you figure out how to run 28 and 32 off you're on your way if you stick with it. 28 off is the first line length you really have to start getting up on the boat to turn.
  11. Can anyone out there chime in? Situation is we bought a new 9800 couple weeks ago. Daughter absolutely hates it. Out of all the major brands, this one ski is no where near her pb. Tried factory settings along with a few others. Called Goode and was told someone would call back. They never did. I offered to swap out ski for a bigger one for me as my daughter wants nothing to do with it, she is in love with her Radar. How long do you wait? Has anyone ever did a charge back? Thanks in advance for any help.
  12. A cool tournament would be a pro-am where the am's get to swap skis with the pros. We did that one time back in the 80's at a tourney. Funny thing, I picked up two whole passes and a few for a new PB on a Pro's ski. He fell on his first pass. My ski was a Pro Stock from EP. :)
  13. How are you guys attaching bindings to the G10 Plate? I have tee nuts which have prongs but I do not know if the prongs will penetrate. Do you tap the holes in the G10 Plate? At 1/8" thick I am thinking there would not be enough threads there. Another way would be to countersink the bottom and put screws up fromthe bottom and put bindings down securing with a ss nut. What works best?
  14. Widen the gate and move towards the next boat guides by an amount that doesn't change the existing angle to one ball. This way, you really aren't changing anything. However, it would really affect those who already split the gates when they go through. They would have to be more careful than those who get close to the right hand gate ball. This would take care of the "fatter boats" problem.
  15. Yes didn't see comment where u can't mate to itself. Got some 250 on the way. Don't want it to release as it is a reflex on it.
  16. I am having trouble as well. I bought the dual lock 3551 and it is not locking together.
  17. So, the green Sixam was a good ski. I always heard the 69" Sixam was not a good ski. Wish I would have tried one them as I was told it was not a good ski. :(
  18. A bunch of skiers were sitting around talking after a skier tried a Goode after skiing on an intermediate ski. She was having some trouble getting adjusted to it. And , it started the conversation about shocking first rides on new skis. For me, it has to be the EP Pro Stock. First time cut through the gates and basically just did a "second base slide" to one ball and all the rest of them. Once I got used to it, it was an awesome ski. It was a popular ski in it's time. Many tournament skiers rode the ski from John Mac to Eddie Detelder. What was your first ride shocker?
  19. Has anyone actually laid eyes on this stick yet? Hard to tell what the fellow is skiing on in the video.
  20. Will they be offered in the 69.5" length?
  21. Anyone skied both these skis? I've tested the Strada 69.5" a few summers ago. Ski felt good but was interested in some input on the 68.5 9800 as I can get one for 590 dollars.
  22. OB, that's an interesting observation " not good enough to ski any other ski but Goode". Can you elaborate on that. I somewhat have the same observation. I've seen many skiers having trouble trying to accomplish better edge changes, handle control and so forth on other skis and when they go to a Goode, they claim they can do these things easier. Strange.
