  1. that is a very short ski, is it not? Looks like a Goode Mid.
  2. Maybe it was a 9100 Jeff Rodgers broke the record on last weekend at Little Mountain.
  3. I am curious as to why Dave is bringing this ski back. Isn't the Razor built from a 9100 mold? At $990, I do not think many will be sold.
  4. I moved the binding fwd one hole and I am speechless. Third day on the ski and have not yet peaked. Have improved each day. Tight line, skiing wide and upcourse, stable, and good lean angle.
  5. Had already checked the strainer and you can see water going through it with motor running. I didn't think to check tranny water cooler hose as I couldn't really see that something to get in there, but I am going to check anyway. It is the only explanation considering the impeller is new and in good shape.
  6. Impeller replaced last year. Just found out from Vince at Discount Inboard Marine that when you disconnect hose from thermostat housing that goes to raw water pump and point it into a 5 gallon bucket, it should fill the bucket up in 15 seconds at 3000 rpm's. Be careful not to let the water coming out of the bypass in the thermostat housing burn you if the motor is hot. I am now thinking my problem is from the pickup/strainer area through the tranny water cooler hose. I am betting some kind of blockage as my impeller and strainer looks good. Thanks.
  7. Got a boat getting up to 200 degrees after7 passes. Raw water pump takes about 45 seconds to fill 5 gallon bucket. Does anyone know how much it should be. I can't seem to remember.
  8. This S2 has been the best first ride of all the skis ridden so far. Can't really say the ski is that fast but it seems to be really smooth in the transitions into and out of the turns and through the wakes. I am really like Horton in that I don't want to say to much at this point. But, I am indeed speechless, and the ski has my attention.
  9. Getting ready for a first ride on a 65.5 S2. Starting off with the factory settings. Stoked.
  10. At an average price of $1300 per ski and up, is it only me who thinks the skis should be customized? The ski companies always say their pro skiers are skiing on an out of the box or rock stock ski. I will buy a new ski exactly like a pro's and ask them to ride it at a tourny instead of their ski. They just won't do it.
  11. where can you buy a yellow one cheaper?
  12. Is there really that much difference between these two skis. They come out of the same mold, do they not?
  13. I have had the same. Larry at Skiitagaing says that they have done transactions with no complaints. contact Larry at skiitagain.
  14. Like Horton says above about it being a honeymoon. I've seen countless skiers buy a ski after two weeks, then start disliking it. Why I won't do ride before you buy. You need more than two weeks to try a ski, unless you ski 6 times a day.
  15. Is this the same Bakersfield Buck Owens comes from?
  16. Still riding the old Jobe Open Class :) Still works for me and it is 28 years old. Don't laugh, the ski has run many 10.75 line passes but no 10.25 line passes.
  17. Was watching the Rossi video showing how to set up ski, fin, and bindings. Tons of the same Radar Stradas up on the racks. Wishing I could try one or all of them:)
  18. @MS In the ride before you buy, are you allowed to test all the different skis before you buy? Because, if you ride alot of different skis, they are going to be stuck with alot of demos. I've never got the impression that you really get to ride alot of skis when I used their program. The skis are kind of forced on you through fin adjustments and so on. Just my two cents.
  19. Free skiing is the best training, period. My thought process is if you can cross the wake six times go out wider than 37.5 feet out and turn each of those six times in less than 16 seconds, the course will not intimidate you. It's just there as a guide, you don't really ski at the buoys, which unfortunately alot of people do.
  20. Talking about skis, I have laid them all side by side, on top of each other. They all seem to have the same rocker, tip and tail. They all seem to have the same shape and sidecut. Skis today have very little rocker. That being said, I just can't grasp how the Goode can be faster than all the other skis. Must be quicker rebounding is all I can figure.
  21. I was looking to learn a bit about the evolution and history of the Goode skis from the 8000 on to the current 9960. There just isn't much info on their website. What little I know, is heard second hand. One thing I hear from many is that the 9500 was their best ski. To be honest, we have a 125amp 9800 and a 100 amp 9500 and I just can't see a difference in the skier on either ski. I am curious about their 9000's and 9400's. Are they good skis? Thanks.
  22. After paying 1300 just last August for a Fusion and the daughter outgrowing it over the winter, I may just cut it down the middle and glue it back together. Tried to get the shop to trade another demo for it. They wouldn't do it. Guess it was stupid to buy a $1000 plus ski for a growing kid:)
  23. Years back, Kris Lapoint cut a ski right down the center and fused two "half skis" together. This was to help his off side turn. It amazes me that the ski didn't break.
  24. Amazing skiing, she looks like she is skiing upcourse at 39 off. Incredible. I believe she can run 41 off.
