  1. Bindings are back about an 1/8th from factory. I am going to bring the tip back to 6.86. Thanks.
  2. Yes, ski hops on the offside. I was trying to get alittle more width, which happened but at the expense of hopping. Thanks.
  3. Had the fin set to factory 6.88, 2.475, .730. It was hard getting width and ski was plain tough to ski on after 4 or 5 passes. Adjusted the fin to 6.83, 2.490, .730. Ski completed turn better as well as width being more easily attained. However, there seemed to be a little propoising or skipping is best I can describe it. Sad thing is that this improved the skiing a whole pass. Anyone know what is causing the skipping?
  4. Sure would not like to have to pay 1% property tax on a $60,000 Ski Nautique. That would be a deal breaker. :)
  5. He must be using it on a private lake. I believe he would have gotten a ticket on a public lake without a registration sticker. If he is using it on his own private lake, he shouldn't have to pay property taxes, but I believe the local politicians would not agree with this.
  6. I was wondering if there were any 69" Senate C prototypes out there for sale. They should look like the RS-1 with white top/ gold bottom. Thanks.
  7. One thing I've noticed with the Goodes are that those who ride them are scoring way higher than they would've 14, 20, or 25 years ago. Our ski club somewhat proved that with a "ride an old ski" tournament. However, we did not go so far as to ride wooden skis. Coincidently, I do not believe the Goode's have benefitted the "perfect technique skier" as much as the average tournament skier. This is where Dave Goode's ingenuity comes into play. He has designed a ski that has allowed more skiers to ski much betterthan they would ever had back in the day. For the last 12 or so years, the rest of the industry has been playing catch up to Goode. Now let the verbal assaults come. I know there coming. I just know it. ;)
  8. So, it sounds like it is more like a parabolic than a concave? Right or wrong? I am thinking that the Strada has already had a little inside radius as well as the orginal red/blue sixam.
  9. What is a slight inside radius under the front foot mean? That is what is advertised on this Goode.
  10. I believe we can now go back to 64 strand rope for the Open skiers.:)
  11. I was also considering a 68.75 HO A1, but they may be tougher to find. I remember the A1 pretty much looking good with most skiers riding them several years back.
  12. Anyone rode one of any of the Goode's in a 68.5" length? I am over 225 and was curious as to if it would support that much weight at 34mph.
  13. We were just talking about the Pro Skiers' height and weight just the other day at the ski club. Today, most of the pros with the exception of a few are incredibly light. Wasn't the case in the old days. I have wondered why today the pro skiers are lighter. You still need height. I wouldn't advise a weighted vest, good way to drown. Like they have in running events, maybe they should have a Clydesdale division where all the contestants are at least 215 pounds. I can tell you from experience, that at 215 I ski three passes better than at 250, so here we go with inequitity even at the top weights. I believe a Clydesdale division would be good for the sport.
  14. Make sure antisiphon valve isn't stopped up for starters. It is on top of gas tank where fuel supply line is connected. Clean all the varnish from it. If that's not the problem, you're going to have start troubleshooting fuel supply and so on. Need more info though. It is running fine up to speed after it initially knocks off. It's not going into limp mode or anything is it? Also, Make sure the fuel filter in the separator is good and clean.
  15. Another thing that maybe needs to be addressed is the ranking system. It seems to me that in the Nat's, that those ranked less than 12th are just going to get destroyed by the top ten. It never made sense to me that a 40th or 50th ranked G2 skier would go to the Nat's only to get destroyed by the top 10. I thought the EP system was working fine, but apparently not so.
  16. I have often thought that there should be a time requirement from the 55's to the gates. Alot of judges have said so as well. Could be coming soon. With all the high powered boats this should be doable, even on short setups.
  17. meant to say the Jobe Encore.
  18. I believe that if I could just get one of those prototypes the pros ride, I could probably run my 15 off pass. I really need a better ski because my daughter has never driven a boat so I need to offset that. :)
  19. I'd be curious to see your thoughts if you test the Jobe Rogue as well. There are a few top level European skiers on that ski although it is considered intermediate.
  20. I am not accusing Eddie of lying. It's just that I do not believe that their pros are riding the first Strada they have tried. Each of them have probably rode a few dozen and picked the best one. I, myself have demoed the red/gray Strada and it is a good ski. Better than anything I have rode thus far. If I were to spend a thousand plus dollars on a ski, it would be the red/gray Strada. Haven't ridden the yellow one. Goode's are not my thing, but if you want a custom ski, a Goode is about as close as you're going to get in my opinion. I went with an HO for my daughter because she was allowed to demo for quite some time without a commitment. She tried an A2 for a two and half week period, didn't like it, then demoed an S2 for 4 weeks and we ended up buying the S2. For her style of skiing, the S2 is the real deal.
  21. Take a fresh Radar ski to a pro tourney and see if Whit or Rossi will put their bindings on it and ride it instead of their skis. I highly doubt they will. Just saying. :)
  22. it was like two small tubes, one on each side of the fin. I remember trying one in the year 1984, got the ski from Dave Curmi with EP. The Prostock was still the top of the line ski that year though. You really didn't need a wing on the Pro Stock that was a wicked ski. It was recommended for 32 off and shorter.
