  1. Say "pull". This word does not get confused with stop, no, go. It was required at some ski schools and tourneys back in the day for safety reasons. I always look back to make sure skier is ready, look forward and go.
  2. She was riding a Goode. My daughter weighs almost 140, so she is on a 65.5". She ran 28 off twice and has never done that behind a MC equipped with ZO. She has not tried 32 off. She is 5'6" almost 5'7", so that may be why the longer ski works better.
  3. April Coble put my daughter on an A2. Her husband Chris set the fin up. Right out of the box my daughter ran her pb. Good angle, very stable, and very consistent. The A2 skis wide and early. She can make a mistake and not be punished. Another thing is she can ski twice as many passes as before she would tire quick. Very good ski!
  4. What speed u ski at Roger? How does it compare to the fischer as to speed?
  5. With all the buzz on the Goode Nano, there has been no mention of this ski. I've been waiting on one of these skis for some time now. Dealer can't get hands on one quick enough. Has anyone out there had much success with this ski at the 32 mph range with a 135 lb. skier? Thanks!
  6. Has anyone bought one of these 343 or ZR409 engines from Discount Inboard Marine? Fairly easy setup? What else did you have to buy? I may get one for my 98 SN.
  7. She is 131 lbs, but I have it set on number 4 for extra safety. She hasn't skied 28 off yet this year so I don't know yet how much tip pressure it will take b4 it prematurely releases.
  8. I guess we all know that the Strada, A1, and Goode's are fast skis from side to side. How does the new Senate C compare to these skis with side to side speed? Thanks!
  9. My daughter rides a 64" Goode 9500. Can't bribe her off of it, even for a newer Goode. I moved the Reflex forward one hole and the ski came alive. I tested the release by putting my foot in it and applied forward tip pressure and it released. So, I am satisfied from a safety standpoint. The soft guard I just recently got for it is alleviating the bruising problem.
  10. Having a bit of trouble with the Hardshell. Was wondering if anyone had the same problem and were able to fix it. Daughter has a size 6 shell medium bootie set up. Release mechanism is set in the 3rd and 5th hole from the back. Factory directions say 4th and 6th hole from back but it is very difficult to lock mechanism down. The biggest problem is the release mechanism is bruising my daughter's back leg and breaking her skin. How do you verify that the release mechanism is going to release on fall? The Reflex is set up same heel from tail distance but this puts the rear toe further back and it looks like she is riding her back foot, ie, tip rise. Any one out there run into this? Thanks!
  11. I bought a 67" Senate C last year from Trophy Lakes last summer. I believe this ski was made overseas. The quality looks good and the performance is there. I just mainly run 15 off through 32 off and get in the boat "dry" so to speak. Every pass feels easy and wide, just stay off the front at 32 off and she rides fine. So, that being said, I believe the fact the ski is made in China is really a non-issue.
  12. It says Will skis on a 66.5" ski. I would have thought that to be a little too big for him skiing at 36 mph. Shows what I do not know.
  13. sorry to highjack the thread, should have asked these questions under a separate thread.
  14. When will the 9960 be available for purchase? Question for Goode experts. What is the difference between the 9900, 9800, and the Makai? I am interested specifically in the Makai but not if the only differences are only cosmetic. Do the newer Goodes turn better than the 9500? Â Thanks.
  15. Anyone out there using the Schnitz Speed Slot fin on a Radar Strada? Does the Strada fin block keep it secured? My understanding is the speedslot fin is thinner. Thought there might be an issue with a Strada fin block clamping the fin securely. If not, guess the fin block from Schnitz would have to be ordered as well. Thanks.
  16. First ride on the Strada was better than expected. Ski was very stable, turns faster than any other ski rode. Going by Matt Rini's fin setup recommendations, the ski was perfect in every respect. Absolutely no tip rise. Now, just got to get used to it.
  17. Everyone is protesting these days. Let's get a group of waterskiers, go confront the gas price speculators and protest them. Peacefully of course, we all know they will do as we say. :)
  18. Shocked to see Karina Nowlan going to HO sports. Anyone else shocked by this? From what I heard last year, it seemed Karina was the best ambassodor for Goode. She was constantly pushing the ski and encouraging many of the top level skiers to give the Goode a ride. Maybe the new HO is just a better fit for her skiing style.
  19. LOL. I will be singing kumbaya on December 21, 2012. I hope to ski all day that last day as well.
  20. I felt the need to say something. This site is about waterskiing to discuss the sport in a very positive way and the sportsmanship that would be expected at tournaments. I knew exactly who was banned. He drove me off TWSF. I just decided I didn't want to see anything he had to say. And, everytime I went to that site, he was right there. Waiting with a baseball bat, so to speak. I wanted to talk waterskiing and read about waterskiing plain and simple, not get attacked. Horton was wise to do what he did. Protects all the hard work in the BOS website, keeps the skiers interested, the tone is positive. And another thing, it could very well prevent unwanted legal issues. I thank Horton for his awesome site.
  21. I saw where Radar and Goode both have the widths of their skis listed on their websites. And, it's got me curious as to the widths of the 63" and 64" D3 Z7 ST's. Does anybody know what the widths are? Thanks.
  22. Any body else running flex number's on the Goode Mid's? Two guys in our club have what they say is a 148 amp. They are light. But the flex readings on the two skis vary in different places by 20 to 30 lbs. They both got their skis right close together time wise. However, they ski the best on the softest one. Any one else out there running into this? Thanks
  23. I second H2odawg, a 67" is just the right size. If you are over 240 pounds, then a 69" would be best.
  24. On the perfski.com website, there is a pic of Kris Parrish skiing on what looks to be a green and black ski behing a mostly blue Ski Nautique. Is this a new Goode?
