  1. Anyone dealing with the knock sensor on the sn196? I am going to try and put a t valve on it with a drain.
  2. I was also having problems witht he outside cuff popping off while skiing so I actually kept them pretty snug, I quit backing them out at all. My buddy who also uses them just cranks them down as hard as he can by hand. He also crashes so much that he come off his ski at lease once a set. He doesn't have any release issues. So, I don't think you can crank them down enough so they don't release, but its very hard to ski with a cuff off.
  3. What is the deal with Eleeski's ski? Did he really ski on that?
  4. SM, We installed drain cocks in our lake boat, so we can leave the boat on the lift all year. Takes just minutes to drain the engine, no more worries.
  5. Gross. I am going to quit complaining about my site, that place is depressing.
  6. I was talking to Jon Travers about this very subject at Diablo a few weeks ago. His boots are spaced pretty far apart and he feels it gives him better balance. It makes sense in that its easier to balance with a slightly wider stance. One skier at our lake separated his boots this weekend by about 1 inch. I thought he was crazy but he skied well. I may play around with it one day too.
  7. Wow, very nice boat, great colors. Looks like Warman Lake.ÂÂ
  8. Nice skiing OF. This weekend in Southern Oregon - water 59, air 73. Drysuits were only for wussies. I wore a drysuit.
  9. I agree with TW Swiss Ski school always used a driver when I was there in May.
  10. I am struggling to understand, but lets see if I get it. On the turn in for the gates, you lead with your left hip so you are closed off to the boat with your hips. Then, at the edge change, turn your hip towards the boat so to speak. This seems opposite of what I have been taught, which is to open hip behind the boat and open hip to shore in the turn.
  11. A vid I made from a few years back, youtube made me change the music which sucks, but its got some crashes. ÂÂ
  12. LOL, I know what he is talking about. When I ski'd last week I went to change back into dry clothes and screamed when I saw the lack of, well everything down there. I had to punch myself in the stomach to make them drop back out. Yes, its drysuit weather for us too. But, it supposed to be in the high 70s this weekend, so we will see.
  13. You really need to look at what ski has proven itself. Both are good skis, but there are a lot more skiers on the 9900 than the Z7, that says something. The 9900 seems to be a very popular ski. I am on it and love it.  ÂÂ
  14. Steven, I am in Southern Oregon, Medford. Gonna be cold this weekend, mid 50s. Just bought a Mr. Heater tonight. Put my fin to 9 degrees. Cold water skiing...
  15. Broho skiers, you guys rock! If you guys can ski all year up there, than I can certainly do it down here. Keep posting vids, they are great. I still remember last winter when you were breaking up the ice on the lake. Lake down to 62 today, we are in the middle of a cold snap. Should be back int he high 70s soon.
  16. Having the Arizona tournament to look forward to is what keeps me going when it gets cold. Roger, I am more jealous than you know. Scott, looking forward to meeting you in Arizona!ÂÂ
  17. Season coming to an end here in Oregon. We are going to the Arizona tournament in late October, then we are probably going to call it quits until next Spring. Anyone skiing through the winter? Doane, you ski all year, right? I hate winter.
  18. Bdecker, you don't want to have two release systems working at the same time. The problem is that you could come out of the boots as the boots come off the ski and the boots will sink with either system. Also, you could get injured coming half way out.  Like I said, I have the regular FMs mounted on the G10 plate with interloc. This seems to work great. The FMs boots have a very flat bottom which gives a nicer feel, less slop.
  19. I used both sets of bindings, the RS-1s and the E-series. I used them for over a month each. I ski'd fine with both. I couldn't ski as well when I ran the laces loose on the RS-1s and I didn't like the feel. I had a fall when I should have released but didn't and I had problems skiing hard after that, affraid of falling. I never actually released from the bindings. The e-series had a more consistent release, but were uncomfortable on my foot, too tight even though I ran the lower laces as loose as they would go (boot is narrow). Never really loosened up. Plus I had the cuffs pop off a few times while skiing normal. I am now on the Goode inter-loc release attached to FM boots and released twice when I should have. Wife went to the Goode powershells and is having great success. ÂÂ
  20. Swiss ski school, can't go wrong, especially for the price.
  21. Thanks for the post Horton, being a new Goode skier, I need some more of that stuff. Plus I just got the wife a Karina Nolan Goode ski and powershells. She loves it, found the link on your website. A tad expensive.....but I see a lot of guys whos wife doesn't ski, so I am lucky.
  22. Parrish is a big dude, or these chicks are small....
  23. Dudes, what an awesome tourny. Just starting open men. The open women were great, I thought some of them were checking me out but hard to say. The legends were awesome, Bob Lapoint looked great, he is all trimmed up, skied in typical form, perfect.
  24. Yes, I would upgrade. I have Stargazer and while I complain sometimes about inconsistent #s, it is 100 times better than classic. I used classic this past weekend and it was a constant struggle to get good times. Stargazer is better.
