  1. Congratulations Brooks. Welcome to the west coast. Radar is lucky to have you on their team. When I heard the news , I was happy for you and your career , but a bit sad for all of the skiers that rely on your coaching , myself included. I'm sure your hectic schedule will still allow you to do a bit of coaching when you are out there promoting the brand. Enjoy the next chapter of your life !
  2. And I thought you were looking to trade .......
  3. Do you start with a double over hand grip ? If not , try that and slightly lowering the handle towards your front foot will help transfer the load as you take off. Another tip is remove the dowels from the gloves , and remember to open your hands if you get into a handle pop situation coming out of a turn. Because the handle will not pop out of your hand , and you may get flung into the wakes. The vest saved my back , but jacked my ribs. Love my Powervest ! Now that I know how to use it.
  4. Good luck on your recovery ! A Power Vest will get you back on the water sooner if pain is holding you back. I am almost 11 months post shoulder surgery ( labrum , rotator cuff , and clean up ) and without the vest I end up in bad pain and chance of aggravating repair.
  5. The only time my arm goes above my shoulder is after running a PB
  6. Took the dowels out , but still took a few weird hits. In cases that should of ended in a " handle pop " , the gloves kept me connected a bit too long to the handle , and I got flung into the wake. Will try a lighter grip. Thanks guys.
  7. Ski it Again. Under Parts - engine $250. The guy added ZO so had to upgrade to newer gateway.
  8. Not attacking , just having fun with you. Be carefull with your invention. I would venture to guess that the Goode Powervest evolved from an idea like this....Speaking of the powervest , my sore lower back actually felt better after the first use of my powervest. The only thing that hurts is the bruised ribs. Have to learn how to use those clincher style gloves.
  9. CASALL HIT can be re - arranged to A CALL SHIT , so I ll be the first to do it.
  10. Made me smile. That was awesome. No fear in her eyes at all. Looks to be a natural at our sport. Can't wait to show this to my 2 1/2 year old granddaughter. We got her the inflatable version of this for Christmass.
  11. Tried my Power vest today. Thanks for setting it up @Horton. And thanks for testing the vest. The chatter on this sight is why I bought it. Thanks guys. Had an epidural for low back pain last Friday. Putting off surgery as long as I can. Dr told me to consider avoiding waterskiing , the vest told me otherwise. Guess what , the vest was right. Pain level did not go up after skiing. If you have back issues , and want to continue skiing , try one of these out. $600 is nothing compared to the alternative.
  12. What's your height and weight ? I have a 2015 66" Radar Vapor in excellent condition $600 obo. Would highly recomend the Vapor. It is an advanced ski that is also user friendly to the intermediate skier. 2014 is also a very nice ski. Search ski it again for the correct size you need.
  13. Figure I would bring attention to this thread after reading the thread on @Wish and his broken rope / rib injury. I have a brand new Masterline rope from @Darwin that will sadly be used for only one season regardless of how it looks.
  14. Rib injuries hurt. I would hit the Dr. up for some pain meds to help sleep. It's up to you. Won't get quality rides with the pain , yada , yada , yada. You ski year round don't you ? A few weeks off is nothing. I've been off the water for medical reasons for 10 months. Or wrap your ribs and GUT it out. You do preach GUT skiing. Reinforces the fact that we should replace our ropes every year. Regardless of how they look. That could be a new thread. Get well soon.
  15. Towing capacity is rated at only 1200 pounds.
  16. Launch my 196 with a 4x4 Kawasaki Mule. No problem.
  17. Is he talking trashed liners we are throwing out , or just a used set ?
  18. Thanks John. If back feels Ok , I will ski. If not , I will wait till the vest shows up.
  19. Ordered my Power Vest last week . Skiing this weekend for the first time in 9 months . A repaired shoulder and chemo ( skin cancer ) has kept me sidelined . Maybe I could try yours @ Horton if mine doesn't show up today ? For what it's worth , I let them know Horton sent me . Oh yeah , I also get to test my new 2016 Radar Vapor !!
  20. @prettig , as @Wolfeie stated , I've lost a bit of interest in selling these , but I might be able to put one together for you. Sold lots of them to a ski school in France years ago. You can see the mirror in the recent video of Jamie B at the Worlds in France. Sent you a P M. Everyone else buy the PTM mirror. He's trying to make some money.
  21. Maybe @Horton can get his Roger Teeter interview by way of his inversion table ?
