  1. @turbogoose, I'm no longer a homeowner in LSF. There are a few LSF owners that are somewhat regular posters on this board, perhaps they can assist you. Clay
  2. @zman, here's a shot from this morning... -17 actual/-42 wind-chill. Damm it's cold! A position has opened up with my company in Jacksonville, FL. There are rumors they may want me for it, which wouldn't take much convincing today. :-)
  3. Unless I missed the subliminal advertising, other than Horton titling this thread 'The all-new 2014 Carbon Pro' it doesn't really say 'all new' anywhere. I don't know what's making me drool more... the beautiful white/blue boat or Sunset Ski Ranch. :-)
  4. JayG80, I did the Ortho K thing back in '01 and '02. It took a bit to get used to, wearing hard lenses at night, but it worked well. The 'reshape' would last for 2-3 days so if you forgot to put them in one night (too many beers?) it was no big deal. In the end I got tired of the hard lenses and not being about to see during the middle of the night. I don't know how people ever wore hard contact lenses. At the same time I also went the 'mono-vision' route; left eye for near vision, right eye for distance vision. Still do this today with soft contacts.
  5. Is that a fire extinguisher or a bottle of NOS under the engine cover? :-)
  6. How about a pic that makes me sad? Boat's in the garage winterized, temps are in the 20's at night, 30's in the daytime, snowed the other day, I'm already tired of the cold. And then there days where I wake up to this and I think... yeah, I can drop the buoys back in and fire up the boat, convince the wife to drive... then I walk outside and freeze my @$$ off.
  7. My wife always wonders how I can be cussing AND smiling at the end of a set.
  8. @skoot1123 - close, this is Sunset Lakes in IL, about 20 miles from Waters Edge.
  9. Not the 'coolest' pic of the summer but it was a great way to start the day today...
  10. A sprain counts only if you do not ski tournaments, broken only counts if you do. (sorry, could not resist. :-) ) Shoulder is my most common area of injury.
  11. Not to hijack the thread.... but where is Sunspray Lake? I thought it was somewhere around Woodward Reservoir but have never been able to find it.
  12. I stopped by there last summer when I was in Sheffield (about an hour away) for a few weeks working. Some people check out the tourist attractions and landmarks, I check out ski lakes. ;-) It was a typical UK day (cold grey raining) but there were a few guys were out skiing. Chatted with them for a bit, real nice guys, offered to pull me next time I was in the area.
  13. @chef23, the gloves were purchased from Overton's about 45 days ago. Anything over 30 days they won't touch and directed me to Radar. @jayg80 and @davemac, thanks.
  14. Does anyone know how to contact Radar customer service? The ratchet system on my month old Radar Boa's has broken, unfortunately in the locked position so I can't get the gloves on any longer. I've checked their website and their online brochure but do not see contact info listed anywhere.
  15. Looks like the 'hips' and the windshield came from the '59 Red Fish... :-)
  16. Taken last week by an old ski buddy who came up to visit for a few days...
  17. Watch out when you Check Out on that site as there seems to be some un-secure items on the payment page. Call me paranoid, but I backed out before entering my CC number.
  18. Would you go with that one or this one? jobestoreusa.com/product_p/300809011.htm I need to replace a 14 year old O'Neill drysuit. At $239 these are hard to pass up.
  19. I have quite a few cattails along my shoreline that I'd like to get rid of. A neighbor gave me a gallon of Shoreklear-Plus last year that I'd like to use but I can't find anything online about how safe this is to use in a ski lake environment. Has anyone used this product? Am I going to end up with mutated body parts?
  20. @omland I would say the Boa's run a bit on the small side.
  21. With each new member you add into the lake, the politics increase exponentially.
  22. I just replaced a pair of Radar Boa's with the same. Yeah they are a bit pricey, but I was able to get two seasons out of the first pair and never had an issue; no velcro coming undone and trying to get it hooked back up coming around the island. :-)
  23. I just priced Aquashade 10 minutes ago... $43 per gallon in the south Chicago area. If you go with tossing in a dye packet, just make sure there are no retrievers in the area when they hit the water. :-)
