  1. Any preference between the radar and master line version?
  2. @RAWSki I don't have any specific information, but based on previous model updates, the newest 2017 design would be due for a refresh in 2022, so hopefully we see something mid-summer next year.
  3. @Dacon62 I also noticed the longer line skiers getting launched. As you say they could have more edge, but a number of them ran into 28’ and 32’ off so they are not complete beginners. This represents the majority of slalom skiers being 32’’ off and longer, at least the older guys in our club. I still want try for myself, but this all but eliminates the boat from my list. So deciding on new prostar or wait to see next version of txi.
  4. @escmanaze thanks for the video, seems plenty good enough for our secondary use. @brooks any idea how much weight in addition to the wake shaper? thanks
  5. @Horton thanks for the input. I'm going to try this weekend. lxi with wedge is a pretty good crossover boat that can work in the course. prostar will be a great upgrade in course, and hoping it keeps rest of the animals / kids happy. cheers.
  6. @Killer thanks. I've been in touch with Jmac, and Muskoka dealership. Next question is: can my teen daughters surf a bit behind it? they can with our lxi and wedge. nothing special, simply rope free. Trying to avoid new boat only making 1/4 of the family happier than old boat... Not easy being superdad.
  7. thanks @MISkier Anyone else have driving experience with the new boat? In particular, I'm interested in the tracking and any real world, non-marketing, opinions. It looks great, and seems the real world / user comments lead to the improved design. Not interested in MC vs CC vs BU, just a review on actual tracking improvements or not. Cheers.
  8. it's screwed down tight, thinking there must be some type of washer that 'grips' the top of the carbon plate better.
  9. My rear carbon plate is sliding back and forth front to rear. I don't want to overtighten screws and risk pulling inserts out or loose. Any ideas? double sided tape under plate, special washers? looking for suggestions. cheers
  10. @Ajskier quick question. we're a family in an lxi and I ski, but kids enjoy to surf in afternoon. it's good enough for us, with wedge down, and a minimal amount of added ballast. thinking of upgrading to new boat, but would like to be able to take kids surfing in afternoon. with ballast can you surf behind SN? Nothing special, simply no rope, and a bit of carving. thanks
  11. Unfortunately we can't make it this year. Our family has traveled to both Charleston and Milwaukee a couple of times, and make a ski trip out of it. Can't cross the border from Canada easily this year. Hope it's all sorted out for next year. If you can make it, I highly recommend going. it's a great time!
  12. I have 07 Lxi, and waited until it came out, as it’s slightly higher up front, making the open bow more useable, especially on open water. Our family uses it a lot. As for wakes, our club has a responses and they have smaller wake, especially at longer lines and slower speeds, but 28’ and shorter the lxi has a much softer albeit wider wake. The 28’ and 32’ on the response is smaller but firmer and likely better for barefooting. A bit of shave and adjustment on the rudder tab and it tracks great. Use the wedge and mini tower and it’s great for wake and surf for kids and guests. Mine is in showroom condition stored in a dry boathouse. Classic white and navy color, and maybe for sale...
  13. Another Ontario question: I recall someone mentioning the rules for having a spotter didn't apply for competition and/or training for a competition? anyone able to point to the legislation? thanks
  14. I"ll also recommend the ibuprofen open. I couldn't make this year, but had a great time for the inaugural open. Anyone in Carp now at the tournament? results page?
  15. in Orillia, and 40-plus year member of the Victoria Point Ski Club. we have and maintain 3 courses on Lake Simcoe, and 1 on Lake Couchiching. ski daily.
  16. anyone put decadence over seadek? thinking of new nautique with all that seadek, the decadence would dampen sound and protect seadek from wearing prematurely.
  17. @jimmyjamesbrown @ballsohard and any other Ontario people, there is a couple of new microbrewerys in Orillia. https://www.couchichingbrewing.com/ the Lock 42 IPA is decent and https://quaylesbrewery.ca/ the BigChute IPA is really good.
  18. Hey guys all kidding aside. I’m looking to upgrade to a newer txi. I recall @jhughes mentioning their 2019 club txi was much preferred over the 2018. Anything specific I should be looking for? Thanks
  19. @BOS_Shirts ok, thanks for letting me know
  20. any chance the bos shirts graphics can be mixed? ie. graphic on front and skiers rant on back? thanks
  21. 68" D3 z7 and 63.5" D3 x5 (pink, and incredible junior ski) In Orillia. will post photos tomorrow. $300 each. both great condition, and 63.5" was only used for 1 light season by my 11 year old daughter, so new condition. thanks
