  1. Inspired by the 'teach a beginner' thread for total beginners, I would like to hear some great tips to help teach a young person to slalom correctly. I have a 7 year old girl, that gets up on her ski, grips correctly, looks well balanced and can turn ok, but would like to work on some drills to get the correct method from the start and not to form any bad habits. Any and all advice welcomed.
  2. anyone, we were trying to dial in a ski partners stargazer last night and regardless of fine tuning we couldn't get the 3 ball time to slow down to the desired 7.13, it would read 7.06 no matter how much we adusted the ball 1 and 3 settings. We thought if we increased the 1 ball and decreased the 3 ball we could get the correct time. No matter what we did, we always got a surge when the boat was between 1 and 2 ball. Anyone have suggestions? thanks
  3. @GOODESkier and @schafer, I emailed Gary and the sweet sale is the posted retail price on their website. Did you guys have better luck? thanks.
  4. @GOODESkier. Any idea what the super sweet deal is now? thanks
  5. thanks guys, I got the 'bigger than junior ski' based on recommendations from some coaches as it permits good float at the slower speeds. so far so good and she's growing like a weed, so it's getting better everyday. thanks again.
  6. My 7 yr old daughter is starting to slalom and is progressing well. Ski is 63.5" d3 x5pro with xxs Wiley boot. Boat speed is 22 mph and were playing in mini course but mostly having fun and working on balanced technique. My question, should I have the wing on the fin? If so, what angle? Thanks
  7. colo, I have same boat but monsoon and am on fence re: z box, if you could send settings that would be appreciated and useful for when / if i upgrade. thanks. pm is perfect.
  8. ski4xtc did you get my pm? thanks
  9. Anyone willing to do me a favour, I'm in Ontario Canada and am looking for someone in Washington State to ship me a blank ski. I have found a ski for my daughter near Spokane, but they'll only ship to USA, so if I paid to ship it to your place and then pay you to ship to me in Canada (either via. USPS, or FedEx, as UPS dings us with brokerage duties) it would really help me out. If anyone could help out a northern baller, I would really appreciate it. thanks a lot. Jeff
  10. I'm a 28off consistant and about 40-50% 32off guy, but accidently voted 32 and shorter, so if possible can my vote be moved back to the 28 some 32 catagory.
  11. I was talking to a friend that's sponsored by Connelly and he just received a new 62" kids slalom named the 'prodigy'. Anyone hear of one of these before?
  12. thanks Bruce, is the z7 that much different from the rcx? thanks
  13. thanks Chef, lyric is the new 63" but I'm thinking that the 62" d3 may be better as she progresses, but not sure if it's a little less user friendly to learn on.
  14. Horton, you still selling the junior elite? is this too much ski to learn on? any opinions on a d3z7 junior or radar lyric? or other suggestions for junior ski? thanks
  15. Drew, or anyone with experience with kids; I'm getting my 6 year old girl going on a single ski and now needs a slalom ski. She's about 55lbs and only skis about 18-20mph depending on conditions. What suggestions do you have for a ski? the local shops have a 62" d3 z7 and 63" radar lyric but I'm open to other suggestions as well. I also think that Wiley's are the only way to go with her size 2 foot. thanks
  16. looking for a junior ski to get my 6 year old on. I have to admit it that color does matter. thanks

  22. I say it's a 2007 lxi, they didn't have the rails around the open bow in the later models.
