  1. @Klundell I am in the same group and the only thing I can say is don't take the 28 for granted. For some reason I always have to scrap out my opener at 28 but then everything seems to settle in at 32 and shorter
  2. Any ballers heading to Fayetteville? @ShaneH no Mueller or Boyd? I have to compete against myself?
  3. I will be arriving Wed night and skiing Fri morning M2, @Roger how are they running the practice as far as boats go? Will you have your choice of what boat to practice behind or will they only be pulling practice with one of the boats?
  4. @webbdawg99, I agree probably coming from Matts comment about my speed for the turn in Thanks @matthewbrown I appreciatte the insight, I will definitely think about that my next time on the water. You took out my boy Chad Baker at the big dawg in houston. Great Skiing
  5. @webbdawg99 I am a lefty and tried the one handed gate for a short time but never felt like I got the timing down so I switched back to the two handed gate. I think it boils down to whatever you feel comfortable with. Since we are breaking down video, Any suggestions on the below video would be greatly appreciatted, the first pass is 34 mph as my driver forgot to change speeds but all passes after are 36 mph
  6. @MattP "I know mshaw200 knows where to find scores. Not everyone else knows how to" If they do not know how to look up scores I highly doubt me saying "awsa has the scores posted" will mean anything to them
  7. @skidawg dont worry Shaneh will have his new lady with him so I am sure he will be on his best behavior
  8. @MattP I did not ruin everyones fun, just making mshaw200 aware that the scores were posted. Perhaps you should call awsa and tell them to stop ruining everyones fun.
  9. @skibug I think you are right on with the idea of pushing the handle down, this will allow you to keep your arms straight. When you start to bend your arms to a 90 degree angle it will cause you to pull in on the handle, something you do not want to do. I had the same bad habit and it will cause you to be narrow at the buoy, especially when the line gets short. Think about pushing the handle down and and out in front of you, this will help bring you over the center of the ski.
  10. As a M2 skier I would not have a problem with that, The only problem is there will probably be a lot of flip flopping with the 35+ guys just like with the MM division
  11. @teammalibu sweet, I will be arriving Friday afternoon
  12. I am with teammalibu, I untwist the rope before every set and after every fall.
  13. I agree that rule is wacked A little off topic, why do they give 34 mph skiers an open rating and they never post a score at 36 mph?
  14. @Horton I also tried the trailing arm pressure thing but I try to apply it to behind the boat. As long as I have 50/50 arm pressure behind the boat I am able to keep my left elbow tucked into my side on the edge change and it results in a much smoother turn (obviously). I try to still keep the 50/50 arm presure until I have completed the edge change. My problem is loading to heavy on my right arm (going to 1,3,5) behind the boat and having way to much load to release, which makes me fly off the handle early and travel down course.
  15. Any ballers located in North Carolina? preferably near the site in Lexington? I may be up there for work purposes alot of June and would like to find somewhere to get wet
  16. Rope around the neck is pretty scarey and leaves a nice burn. It happened to me once and ever since then when I feel the skier pop the rope I instantly turtle neck it and put my hand up by my neck. When it did happen to me my girlfriend was riding in the boat and she goes..."the rope is around your neck!!" No Sh*t sherlock can I get some help. Trying to kill the throttle, keep the boat from going on shore and stop a rope from strangling you is a difficult task
  17. your wife is Hot, cooks great, drives the boat and puts out....Sounds like you should leave the ski home
  18. Surprisingly, I can feel a substantial difference in my skiing from 178 lbs to 172 lbs
  19. @ShaneH that is probably a fair statement, you better get ready for us jerks. I am putting together a crew to come down for Memorial Day weekend to take over Conroe
  20. I would caution against Triple J, you may have to ski with that Chris Springs guy and I hear he is quite the jerk.
  21. @Skidawg Where have you set the wing? I run nearly identical settings on X7 but had take the wing down to 6 degrees and when the water warms up 5 degrees
  22. We are a little farther drive than SKi Haven but you are more than welcome to join us, we are 30 minutes south of Dallas. just shoot me an email and we can make it happen bmiller3536@yahoo.com
  23. Ok, I am intrigued now. I will have to give this a try
  24. "MS is Right" Isn't that an oxymoron?
