  1. I cannot wrap my head around the reason for dictating what prop's are 'approved' for pulling tournaments. I mean honestly did you get a 16.08, 16.95 or whatever the actual time should be? If so then who cares what prop was on the boat
  2. Maybe this is just the Math geek coming out in me, but what kind of data would you collect?

  4. It is hared to explain in words....I use the the part of a spoon you hold and pry the rubber end handle over and once I get it started just twist back and forth with some force and presto As for as it being hard to get straight, I cut a piece of 3/4" PVC pipe at 12" (that is the size handle I use) I put a T in the middle and extended another piece of PVC out straight. I use that top make sure the braid comes together in the middle of the handle
  5. Looking forward to 4 good rounds at Joe's this weekend. Scoke, since you have now slowed down to 34 mph, I would love to see Budman breakdown your technique with a side by side video or yourself and him. Budman, if you are out there reading this lets make it happen
  6. @skinut Are you a lefty or righty? if you are a lefty you need more front foot pressure. Getting the nose of the ski in the water is the only way to build angle. Try standing up tall at the gates, make sure your hips are up, and when you want to turn in for the gate use your front foot to turn the ski in. If you are a righty no clue
  7. M2, there were 3 D3's(2 X7's and 1 RCX), 1 HO A2 and 1 Goode 9900 SL
  8. "Sometimes the Superbowl is played in a dome and sometimes its played outside in sub-zero temps with ice and snow" Not Really, think of all the places the superbowl has been lately. Nice Weather or domes the only reason they are going to N.Y in two years is because they spent over a Billion dollars on a new stadium.
  9. I just pulled up to the camp site skiing M2 Sunday morning and will be rocking brown bos baller hat
  10. it is 110 degrees in Dallas and our water is 95 degrees, I cannot wait to get up north. 80-90 temps are going to feel pretty sweet
  11. I am not doubting he can run 39, it is just most of the guys I know running 39 are usually to stubborn and set in their ways to ask for fin set up help @Martin I ski on an X7 and the biggest difference maker with the X7 is the wing, with the wing at 7 degrees or higher the ski is a dog (especially in hot water) but running the wing at 5-6 degrees really frees up the ski
  12. I never met a skier that runs 39 off but does not know what fin adjustments to make
  13. @skidawg I was refering to the initial shock of the cold water. Your heart rate will increase initially trying to warm up the body. When your body heat does not increase your heart rate will lower as your body tries to preserve energy.
  14. @rq0013 I have been riding X7 for 6 months and my settings are way off stock and previously suggested 6.913 (Tips) 2.512 .755 flat wing 6-7 degrees max
  15. All of this is great advice, I am not suggesting you stay at 32 forever, but take a week, two weeks depending on how many tournaments you ski. Work on all of the advice above at -32, once you feel comfortable go to -35. You will have an easier time applying it at 32
  16. Run 32 , Run 32, and then Run 32 some more Whatever you are doing wrong at 32 is magnified at 35 Once you can run 32 with your eyes closed then you can take time to work on 35
  17. Willie has not been as dominant this year, I am going with the Kid from Indiana
  18. @hammer Did you try the X7 with no wing or with very little wing. I experienced alot of the issues you are describing but once I adjusted the wing to 6 degrees (right side up) the ski is just as fast as my RCX was side to side
  19. The X7 was a little wider than me RCX was
  20. pick up boats are pretty rare at tournaments at least the ones I have attended You may have a better chance of being the pick up golf cart driver
  21. @Jim Neely I am currently on the X7 but skied on the RC and RCX prior to this one
  22. I agree with scoke, JD, and Shane. D3 best option I started skiing on a D3 4-5 years ago and my tourney averge was a couple buoys @ -28. I am still riding D3 and my tournament average now is 4@38 (58k) and I have run 38 about a dozen times in practice. So it is a great ski for beginners and shortline
  23. I did not see scores for willy tags or Nate on ballofscores
  24. I was born and reaised in sharpsville, I live in Dallas now but visit home a couple times a year. I usually ski at bellalago in Ohio when I come home. Next time I am visiting I may have to check out Latonka
