  1. Had that issue with tank, replaced under warranty, Ski N Sport in Tyler TX was awesome as always!!
  2. Have a Medium C85 for sale if anyone is looking...
  3. 67 #'s 29 7/8 2.455 .760 - .770 6.95 - 6.99
  4. Highway mostly, then a little gravel road to the site....
  5. Hey @Horton @ROBOT did you know there is a BIG white space on some posts..kinda annoying...just thought maybe you didn't know
  6. @klindy sowhy word it in a way that can easily be used as a broad paint brush??
  7. @Horton maybe that's what he assumes or say's but it's not how it's worded or could be used in a certain manner based on verbiage...kinda back to the "spirit of the rule" thing...but a board could EASILY use what is written and apply it EVERYONE if they so choose...having sat on a few the wording was done for ease of implementation of a blanket BGC when they want, even if they are not going to push it right now because of the noise....
  8. "and any volunteer, third-party vendor or contractor who are (a) in position of authority over or (b) in regular contact with athletes" "and other members/individuals designated by USA-WSWS in its sole discretion.” Someone explain these sections...I mean this can easily be read as every person at a tourney is a "volunteer" so....???? and then we have the open "we can pick and choose at our discretion who has to do a background check" statement??
  9. "The World Water Ski League looks fun. It appears, however, to be a business, not a member organization. No insurance mentioned on their website"A) Not a businessB) For the skiers, flexible, easy, no bureaucracy, freedom, fun, and yes no "membership" (how terrible)C) Can provide direction for those that need insurance, but don't fool people by making it sound any current organization "provides" insurance, they all provide ACCESS to an insurance company that THEY have decided to partner with. And if those are the weak points of this new option, then it looks like pretty awesome! No membership fee to pay, not forced into a stipulated insurance and government path, and an group that CARES ABOUT SKIERS and making skiing FUN again!!
  10. @bigtex2011 DUUUUUDE!!! 12 step program!!?? C'mon neither of us has the patience, focus, or desire for 12 steps, we need like a 2 or 3 step program at the most, some days that'll be too much...my 80hd won't handle 12 steps
  11. @lpskier last I was aware it SS was mandated to be taken by board members and coach's, optional for everyone else, Canada has never had MVR's for drivers, just had to get your Coast guard boating licence (which is super irrelevant to our sport) and no one of any level has been mandated to get background checks... ever...
  12. @lpskier I get that it is a "small" fee, suppose you can say the 3% surcharge on that $50 is a "small" fee, and the $30 for a background check PLUS the 3% surcharge is a small fee, plus 3% on EVERYTHING now...but wait I already pay a "club fee" and as @The_MS just stated show me the value for the monies spent as a club...Insurance is easy to obtain, everyone is making it out to be a big deal but it is really not, pretty easy to get coverage... small fee +small fee +reg fee +reg fee +small surcharge on all +new mandate +new requirement +shift of liability ------------------ = FK THIS
  13. 3% surcharge on all transactions and $50 to sanction 'practice' now...super cool
  14. Being "ahead of your feet" is a game changer
  15. I call bull$h!T...I would LOVE to see proof a judge has more chance to interact with a minor....My ass is in the boat with another adult, or in a tower with a couple adults, or scrambling to change to go ski in 3-4 skiers whom are adults then back on repeat, this holds true for the majority of folks I regularly judge with, whom if we all said screw it would cripple tournaments at multiple sites...enlighten me where my interaction time is greater than JOE SKIER just showing up to ski and can lurk around the site all day with just a course under their belt... skip it...felt good to type that..but it's useless efforts...
  16. @Horton unlike the USA some countries NGO's funding comes from their governments and is based on achievements at world events...medals=$$$$
  17. Thanks @drago for clarifying my errs in examples if possible could you show me where it stipulates that those events and actions are allowed? I have read all the docs and cannot find anywhere stipulating what you have said. I have found definitive wording saying "celebratory actions are not allowed unless parental consent", and LOC's must provide designated changing areas...so once again you maybe versed in another sport but some of the things you mention are not stated anywhere, so just honestly looking for SOLID proof of what you are saying is allowable according to SafeSport or USA Waterski Also thanks for reiterating and confirming that the scenarios can be in fact deemed inappropriate and can be reported to SafeSport, even if "nothing may come of it, it will go nowhere", but to the person that gets reported and will have to defend their actions and with the wording in USA waterski docs, the LOC also will have to answer questions in regards to incident...maybe this is "nothing" but to that innocent person that just got reported to SafeSport do we assume it's not a big deal to them?? No big deal to the LOC? are they going to keep track of LOC's with incidents even if they are all "nothing"??
  18. @Drago on which part? Everything I have spoken off has come off the USA water ski site, safe sport site or IWSF site...feel free to disprove appropriately with more than "you're wrong", I have spent too much time reading all these Docs Also IF you read all the docs the some of the wording is left in a definition "grey area"...and as a person who sat on a NGO board during the implementation of this type of program I can attest that your thought process and example of what is inappropriate is incorrect. That may be what YOU feel is correct but the spectrum of what could be deemed inappropriate has no bounds. I am sure you are well aware of what level of actions and words some people find offensive and are willing to go to great efforts to ensure the world knows about their offence to it. All this concern and new worry by members about appropriate vs. inappropriate and subsequent rules isn't for/about people such as yourself, one has to be EXTREMELY open to understand that in our hypersensitive society the possibility to get caught in a mess is much easier than one thinks. Even your example of high fives and fist bumps could come across as inappropriate. We've all experienced the hyper positive enthusiastic adult who would probably dish out copious amounts of high fives and fist bumps to the kids, 99% of the parents would appreciate his/her enthusiasm but it only takes that one parent that get puts off by it and the poor bugger is now reported...and in our world it's guilty till innocent
  19. @RAWSki @The_MS The regulations apply to ALL AGE groups not just kids...we hyper focus on minors and it's portrayed to us in that manor but when @Mrs_MS grabs a handful of @The_MS or comments about him sexually during an event he could report her...or anyone that found it inappropriat ...sorry for using you two as an example... Child sexual abuse Sexual misconduct Non-consensual sexual conduct Sexual harassment Intimate relationships involving an imbalance of power
  20. This is gonna get some dislikes but... Rebuttals of "it's just a 90min/45min course, what's the big deal" is just plain uniformed uneducated narrow minded one view ignorance...just stop commenting and go read all the documents Honestly if your JUST A SKIER it could easily be viewed as no big deal...BUT if you have actually read ALL of what is now required and shift of responsibility it's a big deal, not to those of you who just show up and do nothing but ski, but to those of us who bust our asses to provide those events to you it matters... Instead of being the ones saying it's not a big deal (who are mostly just skiers), those saying it's a big deal are your judges, organizers, drivers, scorers etc...you all should be concerned and thinking and offering ways to keep these people involved, because without them, you have no where to go... Do you all know that if take pics at the tourney and post them on social media, you better make sure you have consent from the parents of any minor that may be in those pics..or your in violation of SafeSport Do you know if your changing by your vehicle and little Johnny just so happens to walk by your in violation of Safesport Do you know if one of your club members sons/daughters gets a PB and the two of you have a "celebratory interaction" (words from the document)...if you did not receive consent from their parent before that your now in SafeSport violation... Oh and in all instances the LOC is now screwed cause they we're responsible to ensure none of those scenarios could/should occur Ask me again why I do not want AWSA tournaments at my lake...
