  1. @Horton "if that's true" ? Geez man....give yourself a panda...
  2. That boat came from Louisiana.. @skidawg and Skippy put her to good use...was a great skiing boat. Non existent wakes and a soft pull
  3. 150-180 calories based on a 6 pass set, so 25-30 calories per pass...varies on running up the rope or skiing all 32's...using Garmin chest strap and Fenix 6....did similar with wahoo chest strap and came to about same calories...these of course is MY findings and you are aware of what I do for fitness and my general fitness level. ?
  4. My friends kid, got just over 50ft with that one he said...?...he's fine
  5. Besides all the skiing, axe throwing, the "circle of trust", mass amounts of laughter and fun the fundraiser tourney at the Wood raised just over $6000...thank you to all those that came out and made it an amazingly fun and relaxed event, and thank you to all that just donated without participating!! One of the best tournaments at The Wood yet...
  6. Me, from the boat radio...not suitable for all ears B)
  7. Just as an addition to the gofundme efforts, Cottonwood is hosting a 9 round tourney this weekend, 100% of entry fees (and any other donations) will go directly to the McLain's. There is also a funraising dinner Sat night at Taqueria San Miguel which they have generously agreed to donate 10% of all their sales from 5pm to close...so if any of you are within ther area and want to come ski, have a great meal, and a chill relaxed fun time come on over and rip some turns and guzzle some Margaritas!!
  8. New ski? Like singular? Silly... HO Syndicate Pro then D3 NRG R2 current D3 ION 'S'
  9. @lpskier I have to repectfully disagree with the 'good idea' comment. It's a minimal "tax", and I paid it for my personal intents, along with my Watetski Canada membership, my Watetski Alberta membership, my USA waterski membership and at some point this year probably my Florida membership...but I have issue with IWWF and every other watersports organization and their poor ability to be self supportive without 'taxing' the tournament skiers to death...?
  10. Maybe they should stop charging such massive sanction fees ?‍♂️
  11. The Ross's would NOT have made that statement if it was even remotely in question... @drew Ross is VERY diligent on facts and is definitely choc full of knowledge as to what has occurred in the skiing world
  12. @Horton think those shorts are helping to slow you down into the buoy...
  13. @bigtex2011 actually YES, the neighbours DID pay for the wall!!!
  14. @teammalibu no...he wanted to keep the neighbors out so he's continuing "the wall"
  15. @The_MS is 100% right, can't go wrong with the Ridge
  16. Just postin for a friend... https://www.ski-it-again.com/php/skiitagain.php?endless=summer&topic=Search&category=Boat_3Event&postid=59541
  17. @adamhcaldwell we are all well aware of the diminishing ability to maintain perfect form from early passes to our hardest...however to dismiss the benefits of applying proper form on earlier passes (as it will surely carry forth to a certain degree into harder passes) is a inaccuracy I feel, and really you are saying the same thing but just disagreeing with the level shoulders part...and 41 has been run a lot...and more than 2@43 has been run quite a bit, just not in tourney's...but practice doesn't count lol your pictures do point out one thing though that both of them are reaching further "ahead" than what @Horton depicts in his video... In regards to level shoulder, Nate vid @ 41 Terry @ 39
  18. Guess this kind of "level is wrong then, but I will take this everyday over shoulder dropping... From "train with terry"
  19. @Horton "your bodies are like hinges... Generally if your shoulders go forward your hips are going back I want my COM forward". I disagree in part...as yes we posses hinges but... This only occurs if your brain allows that to happen "Handle forward works for a lot of skiers but I think I want my forward move to be in my lower body" a handle forward cures much more than just COM shift...It also equates to level shoulders, inhibits "falling in" at the buoy, increased width, and even a inhibits a 'blocking' rotation at the finish of the turn...if you want to focus on your 'lower body' then focus on your right hip moving ahead initially then the handle release being ahead...one can and needs to find the simple cue/movement/thought that causes execution of a number of positive results
  20. Don't..get rid of em and set your heel in a bed of Epoxy putty...or bondo...make a heel cup
  21. @Horton and that's bad? I mean with that do you hinge at the waist... and leave the dump truck behind??
  22. ummm reach ahead instead of out to the side..which "good" skier do you see that doesn't reach "down the ski" or "ahead" KISS...don't overthink it, but I mean IF you want to overthink it, that failure starts at your gate..it always starts with gates...
  23. @Bruce_Butterfield inhibiting...sure, forgive me for wanting to ensure the winner got his prize before anything was said, hate to say something and then prizes get lost or run into issues with it all, that to me would look worse than dealing with the impatient lot of ya.... @DangerBoy received his prizes yesterday... so Congrats! Winning caption is below "Honestly, all I said was @Horton was going to be our driver today and @The_MS just ran off screamin'... "
