  1. Oneill hyperfreak 1.5mm, I did not have a rash guard on underneath though. I will go try that out. If noone hears abck from me it's because I am stuck in my shirt and noone is around to help me.
  2. I called miami ski nautique and they said to keep the one I have and nothing else is really better.. I guess I need to get skinnier?
  3. I need to bring this thread back to life, I got that suit and it is just such a pain to get on and off, it takes like half my energy to get it on and then I dont think I will ski well :) I wanted to get an eagle zip up once I realized that ease of use ws important to me but they are sold out right now... What do I do? Are the jet pilot ones that are partly lycra easier to get on?
  4. well when you are used to 95 and then the next day it is 73 it is kind of abrupt? Maybe once I get it I wont wear it in the 77 degree water. That's not THAT cold...
  5. Since there are multople votes for the guru I am going to get the 1.5mm one I linked above, it looks pretty much the same.
  6. @Dirt Well the pellets wouldnt really hurt at that distance, but the noise would certainly make it hard to concentrate...
  7. haha what would I be trying to type when I accidently typed 44.5? sounds more like a hallucination to me... and 5 is like wetsuit thickness!!? My wetsuit is only 1.5 mm!
  8. Do you have a link to one like you are talking about?
  9. I am looking at getting a heater shirt today since our water got dramatically colder over night. What thickness shirt do I want for water in the ~70-77 degree range. When it is colder I have a nice full wetsuit so I don't need it to be too hot, but I would like some decent protection, especially since I will be wearing it when I ski in CO next week in a fairly cold lake (but I don't want this to really influence what I buy). I am currently leaning towards this http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004I44MF8/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?ie=UTF8&m=ATVPDKIKX0DER Since I can get it tomorrow for $86 and it will certainly be warm enough but i just want to make sure that it isn't too thick and will restrict me much. I assume that since it is "hyperfreak" that it will be pretty stretchy since the shorts are so great. The other I am looking at is much thinner http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004I44MVW/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&m=ATVPDKIKX0DER I am skiing into 44.5 off at 36 mph so I don't want the shirt to be holding me back.
  10. Thumbs up to this, bought three pairs of gloves for $90. Woulda bought a new senate ski but the ski boss said no go :p
  11. I figured it out. go out and try to see how much pull you are getting roughly with what you have. If it is less then ~ 2 lbs then you can use a kitchen ingredient weight machine. Or if it more, some other type of small spring scale. They are pretty accurate or at least repeatable so they will show the difference between wing angles. You could just mount it on the front of the pylon somehow, maybe just hold it there, and have the rope pull on what is normally the top of the scale to compress it.
  12. It's a massassauga rattlesnake, the lake was in Northern Ontario
  13. It's real, like I said, ate one of our members, 6 years ago now, poor sid :(
  14. Here is a picture of the lane into the ski lake after we tried to go with the bigger snake plan. After 4 tries of using successively bigger snakes :( http://i.imgur.com/paNhj.jpg
  15. shelby: we tried bigger snakes, but then we had to get even bigger ones and so on until one of them swallowed a member whole. Then we had to call in the game warden and such, its just too much work. Trust me the answer is water mongoose.
  16. We had good luck with water mongoose
  17. Well the other messages are gone now, but that was the wrong Kyle, that's my brothers boss
  18. I guess while we are talking, there is a ski club in Orillia? is it a bring your own boat deal? How do you get good conditions, always soooo windy when we were spending summers in the parry sound area.
  19. I e-stalked you, you're in Orillia. My family lives there, you might be able to work out a deal with my brother in Orillia to drive down here and bring it back or something as well.
  20. Where are you at tru, I get free gas and have a company truck, so something can be worked out if it's reasonable.
  21. Why is our poor boat not getting any interest? :(
  22. What helped me stop doing that was to set my bindings back to perfectly straight, this pretty much forced me to keep my back leg behind my front, so now I never get the straight front bent back leg sitting on the ski thing going on. No thanks to horton and his terrible headache causing advice.
  23. Yeah I would buy a new strada for $500, seriously can you put the name and # of that contact in this thread? I will literally call and buy one today.
