  1. Glad your back. Hope the tournament is everything you need it to be and the cold weather is really late this year.
  2. Bet the deep water start was cleansing. Not sure I would want to be the boat judge however maybe @Mrs_MS would volunteer, especially at 41 off.
  3. @Deke Wow you are a long way down on the west side of the state. Assuming your course is somewhere along the islands south side?
  4. @swc5150 Water was a little sketchy. Had two Duck farts and the rollers were Horrendous. I think its a 00 ZX1 and its what I am skiing behind this year.
  5. Yes it is. Skis great. I know others on this site hate the wake. Ours is fantastic.
  6. Just thought I would post what conditions are like when your waiting for a driver.
  7. @Horton The 1,3,5 offside carves are really smooth and scary quick in and out. Great example of engaging the front of the ski in the offside turn. Do you think this is due to the unique fin box you talk about in the review?
  8. @Horton In the unboxing video for the Denali versus the unboxing of the (ski name escapes me at the moment, KD Platinum) done at almost the same time. It looked like the Denali was a much flatter ski in the front. In other words the tip did not seem to bend up as much as other ski's. Is this a reality or just an oddity of the unboxing video's? The ski in your runs also looks to be flatter in the front. Just wondering.
  9. Same as @jcamp However do a search for pp being wonky on this web site. Ignore the stuff about the fresh air exhaust in there and read about what I had to do to my pp and z-box to get it to operate the same as a zero off boat for my situation. It may be applicable it may not. But it may save you a lot of headaches. B2 seemed to be the closest to pp classic pull for me. One thing some people has noted is that the choice of pull is more about how you ski versus making the boats feel exactly the same. ie try all the settings see which you really like best and work from there. Have fun and ski more.
  10. If we are out there and just want to help/harass @horton or drink his beer but not ski is that allowed?
  11. I know your thinking that Bakersfield is a long way from Colorado but as you know I sometimes am in So Cal. I do thank you for the offer. BTW great looking boat, Yellow is one of my favourite boat colours. 38 off on a Denali and better now using this boat.
  12. Were do we sign up for Baller set's behind the Bee? Need time off work, thinking a road trip skiing places would be cool, Bakersfield and NewBerry definitely on the ports of call. Powell if I can swing it. Glad Buford is coaching, @Horton would probably tell me to take up Wake surfing.
  13. I skied with @Chuck_Dickey there many years ago. I think he is up in Newberry Springs now but this should ping him.
  14. @shyskier , were do you ski? City Reservoir?
  15. I have heard that soda will be closing for the season in the next 3 weeks. If long drives don't scare you I would be happy to pull some sets for you in Pueblo. Should be skiing into mid-November.
  16. I will help with the 2nd priority since I don't ski well enough to do tournaments. Probably can drink OK though.
  17. No responses on this so have set trip up for only work time. First part of the country that I have had exactly no offer's to ski. Must be a baller desert.
  18. Going to be in Chandler AZ for business for a week. Wondering if there is any skiing chances available thus making it worthwhile to bring along ski stuff. Thanks.
  19. Unfortunately I did not have enough free time to get to the boarding school. Hopefully next time. I do appreciate the offer though. I was able to ski with lpskier at LaPoints and as usual managed to ski remarkably impressively. I really need to make sure I am in ski shape and have more then 3 sets in 50 degree water under my belt before heading south to ski. Thank-you to John for putting up with my poor skiing. Everybody there was very welcoming and friendly and made it a really great place to throw down some sets. If you are in the Orlando area and get a chance to ski I would recommend contacting lpskier to see if they can accommodate some sets for you. The atmosphere there is very laid back and the level of skiing is really impressive (as long as I am not there). The site is really well wind protected so getting sets in was not a problem even with the strong winds. The course is an 8 ball course which was new to me but after a few passes was not an issue. I did however manage to prove that I can ski badly on both a 6 ball course and an 8 ball course. Thanks again to everyone that I met there and I hope that Chris's leg heals quickly and well. Here is a picture looking north with quite a good wind blowing from the direction the picture is looking at. The site as you can see is still really easily ski-able.
  20. Unfortunately I did not have all the free time I required and was unable to get to the boarding school. Maybe next time. I did however get to ski with lpskier at LaPoint's. As usual I skied my reasonably unimpressive ability and less. However everybody there was extremely nice, friendly and welcoming. The people there no how to ski and are very accommodating They have a very laid back atmosphere to the place and a great piece of water to ski on. I highly recommend that if you are in the Orlando area you visit the site and grab some sets if able. I wish I was in better ski shape and could thus perform better given the great site there. My thanks to John for hosting me and hope that Chris's leg heals quickly. Here is a quick view of the site. This was with a considerable wind blowing from the North (direction your looking) and it was still easily ski-able. It is an 8 ball course which for me was the first time I had skied one. Odd at first but then irrelevant, I now know I can ski badly on an 8 or 6 ball course.

  22. They expand. The picture shows it fully collapsed.
  23. I have the 3 and love it. Easy to get over 50lb of stuff in it though. Be careful with what you put in it for the airlines as sometimes they interpret it as strictly for ski equipment if it flies free. Also as others have stated previously put some sort of ski guard inside the tube for piece of mind. Also take pictures of stuff going in and always open it up and check the contents at the airport after each flight. This way you at least have a documented record if something gets damaged.
