  1. Ordered a gallon will let you know how it works. I am fed up with trying to find fatastik with oxyclean.
  2. For the water up the leg I use the Velcro wraps for dry suits. The Camaro are skin tight and that does not allow room for water to amass. They are incredible for warmth that until you try one you will not be convinced. Waterski girl at Robbis is were I get my stuff. Do not think that thickness equals warmth for these. Correct size (they are stretchy) is the most important, they do not work on the principle of controlled water flow through the suit as some other wet suits are designed around.
  3. Camaro is the suit for water skiing. Used my 2 mil in 41 degree water here in CO. Will never use drysuit or other wetsuit again. Unfortunately until you try one you won't believe it. Sorry to miss you on this one maybe next time or someone else can benefit. BTW we ski every month the water is not solid. So far someone has skied every month for over the last year so the water does get cold.
  4. I don't know anybody at Laku but there are some Ballers in Ft Collins that I skied with last year that may chime in. You are always welcome to take a set or 2 with me in Pueblo. It's a little bit further down the highway though (2 hours without traffic.) Hopefully someone will see this thread and you get a chance to ski there.
  5. Agreed this is a great video. My relationship to the thinking quote. "I think I am skiing and then all of a sudden I am done. Should have concentrated harder on the deep water start." That still above is a great example of what I think I am doing however I am more like the slide in the background, vertical. @MarcusBrown thank-you so much for this insight into who and what Will is all about. I met him at the Denver boat show after he had won nationals and even then he seemed like a class act. Glad to see he has evolved even further with his comment about giving that feeling to others. Shows why water skiing has some of the most genuine people involved in it.
  6. @Horton, Those 2 look familiar. Do they ski in Newbury? I think I had the pleasure of skiing with them a couple of years ago. The rule change comment rings a bell about @skimom being on the rules committee or something like that. Congrats to both. Super nice people. I think they have known you longer than most others on BOS.
  7. I guess people didn't understand the reference to the wing being upside down. In these were meant for sales below the equator. Nothing to do with abilities or nationalities. Thank goodness people didn't see my comment about the Irish Olympic swimming trials.
  8. @skialex Now all I have is visions of ball of hair spinning upside down with 2 hairy legs sticking out of the top.
  9. Maybe its those parking stripes that older people put on their garage floor so that they park straight? They work for me.
  10. @MISkier Now that is so appropriate. If it ain't one then there should be one. For those that don't know. http://www.whatonearthcatalog.com/cgi-bin/hazel.cgi?ACTION=DETAIL&ITEM=AQ5442&websource=GOOGLSH&utm_source=Google&utm_medium=PLA&coupon_code=WOEGOOGLE7&gclid=CjwKEAjwu72pBRC9hsn2-e34vRUSJACnSYsTMx3MqwiXDqb57BsvIS5GyIZ9qlfpo4aRvOsXd_CuhxoCEofw_wcB
  11. 2 ducks, 3 plastic garden gnomes a pink flamingo and a really tall Wake pro extension rope tracker arm. As said in Grown Up's 2 "They can't all be 10's". Or as the tape says: Extremely Long Implement Giving Acceleration Really Fast.
  12. Ah I see another picture of the infamous 41 velcro strap malfunction :). Great picture though.
  13. I will be driving so any ski stops on the way there or back would also be really appreciated.
  14. Ok, Colo_skier is on the road again. Heading to Galveston for the week above. Any body want to let a fellow (poor skiing) baller catch some sets? Will pay what is needed and provide beer if desired. From the schedule I have now Sunday through Tuesday would seem to be best or early Sat end of week. Thanks in advance.
  15. Didn't see any crocodiles when I was there. The huge sting ray gliding out to the 1 ball underneath me was pretty cool though. Amazing how fast they can go when they want to.
  16. Not sure what happened to my last post so repeating. Why does Horton's last post remind me of the last scenes of "Who framed Roger rabbit?"
  17. I think I see Krista, I might see Canyon lake but I sure as heck don't see any sticker. Also why does Horton's original picture remind me of the final scene's of "Who framed Roger Rabbit"?
  18. I think a few Australians must have been employed in the quality department.
  19. Ski gear on. 2mm full Camaro wetsuit (robbis ski shop), Life jacket, neo beanie (from the lady in Utah), Duck hunting gloves. Onto the back of the boat and air was 70, water was 45 ish, Wind about 30 MPH gusts straight down the course. White caps galore and boat all over the course due to wind. Didn't make a single buoy and even manage to do several helicopter turns pulling out prior to the boat even entering the course on one pass. Spent more time in the water than on the water but hey the ski season has now begun for me here in Colorado. Hopefully the only way is up from here. Everyone that doesn't do this sport thinks we are all several gallons low of a full tank of smarts. BTW meant to snow again on Weds. Ski on everybody as there were at least 5 of us skiing in Colorado this weekend.
  20. @than_Bogan Just as a point of reference what are you consistently skiing now? I am trying to understand if this is just the next rope progression of whether this is an end goal.
  21. z-box effects the way the boat responds. Since I don't ski outside of a course I have no experience about how PP works outside of a course. I would assume that PP in z-box mode would respond to the load the same as if it was in a course there would just be nothing to time against. In all of the various discussions about what various boats and set-ups do going around turn islands the course does not seem to be the mechanism for the speed control response just the timing. I am sure someone else will chime in with real world experience.
