  1. @DanE Now that just shot a hole in one of my excuses for skiing like poop!!!! Anyway thanks everyone looks like I will have to figure out a different excuse. @Chuck_Dickey I had PP in a carb Gekko and now have SG with z-box in 07 Bu. Agree that the DBW is much nicer. Now that I have mine all dialed in I am reluctant to upgrade software. I guess it's just a response to me living the Microsoft upgrade roller coaster.
  2. In my original post to start this I stated that @lpskier stated that at some time ZO switched how A and C are applied. Basically they were reversed. Someone else also stated that z-box followed suite. I am really trying to find out when this occurred since I am using an older version of z-box software. I guess I could just assume everyone else is running newer software for both ZO and z-box and thus a C1 for me is really A1 everywhere else.
  3. Anybody know when ZO and z-box reversed A and C?
  4. Sorry to hear this. 14 years is a great run and now shes over the rainbow bridge as you say at the greatest water ski Mecca in the sky.
  5. @DanE I wrote a thread on exactly the pull description you describe above and what I had to do to fix it. Search for wonky to find it. The reason I brought all this up is that I have a 07 bu with the first year zbox and have it set to C1. It's what I am use to and like. I have been lucky enough to ski behind a few boats with ZO and of course asked for C1. Sometimes I didn't always feel able to ski well behind the boat. It may be a host of things such as I don't ski that well anyway but it would appear that if I want to ensure have a ZO boat react in the same manner as my z-box, I would need to know what year (version) ZO decided to switch A and C operation. I could then ask for A1 or C1 based upon the year (version) of ZO that the boat I was skiing behind had. At least then the pull would be closer to what I am use to.
  6. In misconceptions thread @RazorRoss3 and I had different ideas about ZO and the letters. I then saw in the ZO poll that @lpskier stated that ZO switched the A and C around. So my question is does anybody know which ABC setting the z-box emulates of the ZO? From what I feel behind the boat I would say the original ABC of ZO.
  7. Just read @Horton http://www.usawaterski.org/speedcontrol/zerooffpresentation.pdf and now it makes sense. Guess I will try something different next season as I was all messed up with what I thought was going on. Glad that its clear to me now.
  8. @RazorRoss3 That's pretty funny, I was under the impression that A and C were switched. I run C1 myself because I was sure I need extra time to get into a stacked position. No wonder PP felt spoungy to me!!!
  9. Off thread here but it seems that for ZO you are saying C comes in earlier than A? I thought it was the other way around. @bko and @RazorRoss3 That may explain why I am not liking what I feel versus expect when I change settings.
  10. Same question as before. How do you order more than one at a time?
  11. Looks like it might be SMRR.
  12. I think the wedge is no longer locked down to help avoid ripping it off the back of the boat if you hit something with it. However if you do hit something with it you probably already took out the prop.
  13. @Horton, For the stickers. I assume they are the same as the one's on the broken A3, if so how do we order more than one at a time? When I click the button it goes straight to paypal and doesn't seem to have an option for more than 1 sticker.
  14. @Horton , so the relative question is what mood were you in on the 1st design?
  15. I have one of the first ones. What do the newer ones look like?
  16. Thanks @wtrskior , I emailed Larry and there is indeed an issue with AOL and other "free" email service provider. He pointed me to the SIA home page were it has a link explaining the issue. People may want to check it out if your are trying to purchase something from SIA.
  17. @davemac thanks for looking I don't expect it to show up. I tried Chucks link above and nothing came to me from SIA. Something is messed up and I don't know what it is.
  18. @davemac I responded to your handle SIA.
  19. Anybody seeing any issues with email responses to SIA posts? I have sent emails to several postings and have not seen any replies at all. I also am not getting SIA email confirmations that any emails are actually being sent. I have checked all of my spam and junk folders and nothing. Just wondering if anybody has actually had an email from SIA.
  20. Do you have a heater in the boat? If so just plumb into the hot water feed for it. I put my own shower in and didn't have to do anything with block connections. Don't worry about flow through the heater, the return feed restriction from the heater is about the size of a pencil lead.
  21. @Horton Great picture. Two better looking drivers than Todd.
  22. @pq2 Not planning on coming anytime soon. However I did get to ski with Andy Mapple and I agree with what you said about him being a great bloke. Glad to see you are still getting to ski.
  23. There are 3 slalom course in the lagoon and 2 in the Club med small lagoon. @pq2 was a very gracious host to a few of us here on BOS. I hope all is well with him.
