  1. Also throw in the typical lengths (depth) of inserts. Do they very from front to back of ski due to thickness?
  2. Looks like a vinyl coated fabric - I assume it does not breathe like Sunbrella - might work ok in dry desert climate, but how about in damp regions that produce condensation?
  3. wait, why are you even having this discussion or thread??
  4. Read the "Hey Ballers" thread for some perspective.
  5. Seattle CL too: https://seattle.craigslist.org/see/boa/6063409051.html
  6. @Horton - understood, but just doing the calibrated eye test, the rocker profile is quite a drastic departure from HO's of the past (flat stick, low profile tip). Would you say the flex on the VTX is quite a bit softer than previous HO's?
  7. @Horton Can you do a comparision of the rocker to your Goode XT? Seems HO has gone down the rocker route with this ski very unlike past HOs. Also, what about stiffnes? I can actually flex my XT on the dock, where as HOs you can not.
  8. I had the same concern last Nov. when I was going to get a new set of D3 leverage bindings. After reviewing what they did by adding Wiley type overlays (way softer than the molded rear lace Leverage overlays), I decided to pass and ordered the old version of Leverage bindings from Perf Ski. I guess I will be going to a new binding when this set wears out.....
  9. Those numbers are definitely shorty time for the PNW.
  10. @CParrish43 what finally brought you to the decision to have the C5/C6 surgery? Pain, loss of strength/feeling, or what?
  11. Been on the XT for three years now - every fall when the water cools, I notice what @Horton is talking about. Ski turns different, but faster ball to ball. It sort of grips more in cool water and loses its "smear" ability.
  12. Use it all the time in early/late season in PNW. I mounted mixing valve/pump in SN 196 Trunk, but many mount both in engine compartment. Buy kit from heatercraft.com
  13. Bare Ultra Dry Drysuit I purchased mine in 2006 - seals have been replace a few times, but material of this suit is more of a vinyl type compared to the nylon with polyurethane coating on the inside. The Bare material is more durable by far. And as mentioned the T-Zip zipper is far superior to the brass zippers.
  14. @Horton will love to hear your comparison of the Nano One and the XT. Will you be getting the new version of both skis to ride?
  15. My insert did not pull out but the threads failed (did not cross thread). I was able to put a slightly longer screw in to pick up some decent remaining threads. If I am going to send it back to Goode, I would prefer to do so in the off season, so hopefully the longer scew gets me through the season. Looking closely at these inserts, it looks like they have allen head recesses in them for installation. I do agree that they do not look like they are brass.
  16. Not a question about customer service, just about insert replacement - did they send out an insert for you to install or did you send your ski in?
  17. Has anyone had experience sending ski back to Goode to have an insert replaced? If so, were you satisfied with the work?
  18. I ordered HDPE material off ebay and made my own.
  19. obviously.....the after set beer.
  20. I used those "L" shaped lag screws and slid clear tubing over them. One on either side of the ski in front of the bindings, and one to hang a fin hole on.
