  1. That place would be great as an 8 buoy! I ski Goode lake and it works very well even at 36mph.
  2. I agree with @horton if there is a difference its because of the volume and the circumstances of traveling to an R. Living in UT I've skied probably 20 class C rounds this year and 1 record round. My average for most of the year has been around 111 and I skied 109 at Regionals. I don't think it is surprising that the average of my best 3 of 20 rounds happens to be higher then my 1 high stakes round. In fact if you averaged all of my rounds I skied better at the record.
  3. If I'm not judging I'll see if I can tweet some results.
  4. There is another PB thread going around but I thought it would be fun to do a poll. If you got a PB tell us by how many buoys and at what speed/line length.
  5. I'm currently a Senior Judge does anyone know what it takes to become a Pan Am? Or can you point me to the right link where I can read up on it. We need another one in UT.
  6. I think it depends on the record event. If it is a three round record then it basically feels like a regular event to me. If it is regionals or nationals then it is a lot more stressful because you only get one shot.
  7. @markchilcutt are you planning on skiing in some records next year?
  8. @kcswerver great skiing. I love seeing 36mph progression! Do you happen to have an app on your phone or iPad called coaches eye? If you can take some video on the app or input your video somehow and send it to me we could have some real fun breaking it down and doing some analysis.
  9. @scotchipman so if the rule was a full six buoys would we get to see you ski 36 again? I like that idea by the way. Full six! Anything else brings way too much confusion.
  10. @mattp how come I got tagged in your blank post?
  11. I'm not a fan of this idea. Lets make our sport even more difficult for spectators to understand who the winner is.
  12. @chrisrossi Thanks Chris! My head is up higher then its ever been. Just to have gotten to the same rope length as you and Nick is somewhere that I never thought I'd be. I've got six chances to run that thing in a record event in two weeks - gotta keep working!
  13. Thanks everybody. I really do contribute some of my success this year to the comments ballers made on the videos I posted. I really went and worked at getting in better positions of leverage and it helped so thank you! @Skoot1123 I picked up 4 buoys from my PB of last season and about 2.5 on my average.
  14. So cool. I hope my little girl is skiing like this at 5. She's only 18 months but loves her ezSki
  15. @KcSwerver that's the deep spot.
  16. You know what really sucks is when you ski 1@41 in a local class C tournament and you take 3rd! Thats what happens when you ski against Chris Rossi and Nick Parsons.
  17. I hate to toot my own horn but... TOOT TOOT! I ran 1@41 yesterday for a new tournament PB. Still in disbelief this morning.
  18. @ed_johnson I'm sure you are right about 32 MPH. The lack of momentum would really be a problem at shortline. At 34 MPH however I think 39 is an easier battle then at 36.
  19. @brady stacked... Yes. However the problem with this picture is exactly what we were talking about when you were at the lake. Your center of mass is behind the ski (falling back towards the two ball instead of falling the direction you want to travel... towards three). Imagine trying to run forward with your center of mass falling backwards, or with a backwards lean, you aren't going to go anywhere very fast. Compare to this picture. I'm stacked but you can see my center of mass is ahead of the ski, falling in the direction I want the ski to go (across course).
  20. @ed_johnson are you trying to say if @tbrenchley can smoke a 38 like that and get 3@39. You don't think he can run the occasional 39 going 34mph?
