  1. I was seriously impressed with this group. That head tail was nasty!
  2. @bishop8950 Thanks! That was the first time I've ran 38 in a big tournament so I couldn't resist the fist pump.
  3. I've posted these before but this was two ball 35-off at 2011 Western Regionals. Somehow made it around 3 and all the way to 5 before this caught up to me.
  4. That was a wicked head tail and you had the worst of it! Felt bad because I had perfect conditions about 45 minutes earlier in OM.
  5. I ski on a double powershell and would be interested in testing the gatormod. I stuff the tip all the time. I've never been seriously injured from doing it but I've done it so often that we have named it the ankle biter crash because they are always a little sore after it happens. Has anyone tested it on a powershell?
  6. Incredible skiing! There is no better feeling then rolling out the gates at -38 for the first time. Congrats!
  7. The best thing I ever did for my hands was start doing CrossFit in the off season. All of the pull-ups had my hands ready for ski season.
  8. No definitely not separated. Hopefully just a joint capsule sprain and not a rotator cuff.
  9. Prognosis might be worse then I thought. Shoulder started hurting last night and I pretty much can't lift my arm this morning.
  10. @mattp just got home and sat down to some quite and the ringing is bad! Good luck!
  11. @brady regionals are next week. Let's plan on the week after.
  12. I won't miss a day with the ear drum. Get some antibiotics and an ear plug and keep skiing.
  13. So if you tie your pb with 3 at 39 in round one and eat crap and break your ear drum in round two @35 is that a good day or a bad day?
  14. @horton he is nipping at my heals. He ran 2@39 in our last tournament I can't have him beating me. The truth is @tbrenchley understands skiing as well as anyone I know and he is a much better skier then this video shows. But he can scrap with the best of them.
  15. @Chef23 I watched @tbrenchley do that in the last tournament and get the ski back in the water in time to pick up the extra half buoy. He does it all the time in practice. I'll have to get it on video and post it.
  16. Anyone who has skied with @tbrenchley knows it is always a good show. But this is just pure athleticism on a ski.
  17. @Wish sorry no video today. I'm surprisingly beat up after that 3 round tournament yesterday. I don't know why tournament skiing beats me up worse but it does.
  18. @skinut I don't know what to say. That just sucks. Get well soon!
  19. All the tips from various people on here after I posted the video must have helped. I've ran 38 in 3 of my last 4 tournament rounds and got 3@39 today at the Goode ski lake tournament. Thanks for the tips.
  20. I think creating a super wide forgiving gate gives advantage to left foot forward skiers. As the course sits now left foot forward skiers have three strong side turns but the disadvantage is they have a more difficult time turning in and getting through the gates. Remove the difficulty of the gate and I will for sure make my daughter ski left foot forward.
  21. @skinut were your power shells set up stock or did you remove the rear spring assembly? I can't tell you many times I've stuffed the tip on my off side turn with no serious injury. (Knock on wood).
