  4. @epnault I am also around 210 lbs. what size would you try? Comes in a 67 and 69?
  5. @markchilcutt Thanks very much for your response - really appreciate it Love my 17 Vapor and just thinking about the next move Cheers
  6. @markchilcutt Nice pass above I am a 28-32 off skier and have been on the 2016 and 2017 Vapor. How does the 2018 compare THanks for your time
  7. Radar rules Had a 2016 Vapor that cracked on both sides of the bottom stepped running surface. Had a new 2017 ski within a week Amazing customer support.
  8. @DaveLemons is totally right - it comes from the heel block on the back of the boot. Not the release mechanism
  9. Helmets are awesome- pretty well everyone in our ski group - four guys- wears a helmet Solves many problems - ear issues, head through the handle issue, helps with concussion etc. We all enjoy wearing helmets and are confused why it isnt standard in skiing.
  10. Thanks @MattL I have Reflex on the front and a Strada on the back. Thinking about gong to the R-Style on the back
  11. Strada -Vapor boot - no problems yet Anyone go from this setup to Reflex R-Style?
  12. Vapor strada and a soccer shin guard like @Marco
  13. Hi I may be interested How many skiers do you have Could make it down for Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning? Can you send me your contact info? Thanks very much
  14. Hi @rodecon. I have always used the Vice gloves and the XL size. Bought a pair of XXL gloves last year and thought they were a little big at first but now love them. They are wearing amazingly - no wear areas etc with a half year of skiing on them. THinking that the looser feeling is easier on the gloves with less stretch stress etc. Good luck
  15. Great discussion. Another interesting discussion is the DFT measurement. The pic of the DFT in the @aupatking pic is totally off to what most people would measure DFT. ie there is a great you tube video with Andy showing how to measure DFT with the edge of the caliper touching the curved edge of the back ?bottom of the ski - which I thought was the way. THe above pic is measuring from the top rear of the ski.
  16. THis is a great conversation. I had just bought the V-Type and was a little frustrated when the R came out two weeks later. I'm really happy with the V-Type. Played around with the ski tip weight and eventually took it off. Ski seemed like it turned alot faster. Anyone have that experience? Thanks
  17. Hey Fellas I've been running front reflex with strada rear for two years - no problems with releases
  18. Great discussion re vests Also buying a new vest - currently have a Camaro impact - pretty happy with it Camaro Impact vs Oneill Slasher vs Syndicate Legend Any comments? Looking for comparisons in lightness and float.
  19. Just FYI. I moved the tip weight forward and the onside turn is now amazing. Everything else stock set up
  20. I have Radar Vice gloves and love them - but I take the plastic dowel out for a more natural feel.
  21. I had exactly the same injury. The release protector has nothing to do with this injury. The part that hits the shin is the heal block on the back of the front boot. I bought a 'too big' spray leg protector and got a kids size 'slip in ' soccer shin guard to slip in. Works perfectly
