  1. Only Chuck Norris would dare attempt this.
  2. Connelly has a ski out this year that's pretty good looking. I don't remember what it was called and could not find it online, but it has a very vintage finish to it. I think they only made a small number of them and I saw one at Fogarty's in Lake Flower. Perhaps @lpskier knows the ski I'm talking about…?
  3. It appears to be an O'Brien Mapple from the early 2000s with Contact Bindings. In one summer I completed my first full pass at 30 mph on that ski (different color), then by the end of the summer had a few buoys at 36/22. The following summer I hopped on a D3 Z7ST. I still have love for that original Obrien, but what a difference getting on "new to me" technology! You should upgrade…a lot better skis on SIA right now!
  4. @303Skier Check your Inbox. I gave you the number of ski buddy of mine who converted a '94 Prostar last summer. Said he'd love to answer any questions you might have. Good luck in your decision.
  5. @Howa1500…brings back memories. My family's first inboard was an '87 Supra with the same interior colors as yours. Your boat looks to be in nice shape. What color exterior? Ours had a light blue accent color all around.
  6. Great feed here. Thanks to Freddy and @Horton, I think I have it figured out now. To ski like Nate Smith, I just have to learn to walk like Nate Smith. Anyone have footage of Nate walking? Ha! Really enjoying the video and commentary. Keep it up!
  7. It is my understanding that '13/'14 are the same skis with different colors. I wouldn't mess with the '12. '13/'14s are better and more forgiving skis. I rode a '13 for a little while. Really like it, but it was a little small for me when I dropped to 34mph.
  8. Is that wrap or a factory paintjob?
  9. @wtrskior…I guess I've done the opposite as you. I've used Masterline K-Palm curves for the last couple years…size Large. Probably been through 3-4 pairs of them and after the initial break in period of 1 or 2 sets loved them. They had awesome grip, the kevlar didn't wear away too soon, and the stitching was durable. Then they switched to the current model which is black/green, and I've moved on to 41 Tails. The black/green fit awesome and felt amazing at first, but the durability for me has been crap. I think within the first month of wear they starting tearing apart in multiple locations. Since I couldn't find anymore of the older K-Palms, I tried a pair of 41 Tails (yellow ones). I did have to size down to a medium, but I must say, I'm impressed with the gloves. I'm on my 2nd pair, and I really don't have anything bad to say about them.
  10. @lpskier…Isn't Jamie B a New Hampshire native?
  11. I'd prefer the ski without the vents/windows or whatever they are.
  12. @Wish…On top of being a great driver and great guy, Les is a wealth of historical information on the sport. I had the pleasure of skiing behind and riding along with Les in the boat recently. Learned quite a bit...
  13. @OB1, so is it down to two now? http://www.ski-it-again.com/php/skiitagain.php?endless=summer&topic=Search&category=Slalom&postid=34069
  14. My guess would be that the key pad doesn't work anymore. They bypassed it and just have a key start. Probably the smart thing to do when a new keypad costs around $300 or so.
  15. New York is a big state. Can you be more specific about where you'll be and how far you're looking to drive?
  16. I never met Andy, but this has me very bummed out. What a terrible loss for his family and our sport. My thoughts and prayers go out to all impacted by his passing. Very sad news...
  17. Is this THE Jon Tate, back from the underground? Welcome back, man!
  18. Edited...I have no comment afterall.
  19. That boat has been for sale for a while. I think I remember it when I was looking over a year ago.
  20. The boat you are inquiring about: Good boat, good motor...price very dependent on hours/condition, but unless in immaculate condition could be high. I've seen some TSC1 (1997-2001) Nautiques asking similar prices or even less at times. Even better hull with the GT40. I'd hold out for one of those.
  21. I don't think the SNOB wakes are quite as good as the closed bow TSC1s. I believe they moved the motor further aft in the hull which degraded the wakes a bit. Personally if I were going to make a zero off tractor, I'd look for a closed bow.
  22. In tournaments are these guys skiing longer lines at 36mph, then dropping back to 34mph?
