  1. That boat has been for sale for a while. I think I remember it when I was looking over a year ago.
  2. The boat you are inquiring about: Good boat, good motor...price very dependent on hours/condition, but unless in immaculate condition could be high. I've seen some TSC1 (1997-2001) Nautiques asking similar prices or even less at times. Even better hull with the GT40. I'd hold out for one of those.
  3. I don't think the SNOB wakes are quite as good as the closed bow TSC1s. I believe they moved the motor further aft in the hull which degraded the wakes a bit. Personally if I were going to make a zero off tractor, I'd look for a closed bow.
  4. In tournaments are these guys skiing longer lines at 36mph, then dropping back to 34mph?
  5. I thought it was named after an SUV…?
  6. Unfortunately, @MattP highlights what would be my biggest fear…spending a bunch of money/time to prepare, travel and compete a significant distance from home for one opportunity to shine. To then get there and have the experience ruined would be horrible. @WebbDawg99 told a similarly disappointing tale last year about the breakage of his ski during his opener. What a bummer. To me personally it just isn't worth it. Maybe one day I'll prioritize differently, but for now I'm not interested.
  7. @Texas6 If that boat belongs to @smanski, I skied a tournament round behind it recently, so I think he still has it. Scott's boats are always pretty dialed in and meticulously kept. This one is no exception…probably worth calling him again!
  8. I think most guys would agree with your logic that you need to run all 6 at one line length prior to setting a PB at the next. How many stabs you take at each line length in the process is really up to you and whatever you're comfortable with. You'll find various opinions on this thread I'm guessing, but the beauty of a practice PB is it maybe shows your potential more than it shows the level you're at now. Set a practice PB (multiple attempts allowed), then try to ski consistently enough in the future to set it in a tournament. Or at the very least run down the line in practice to do it without missing any balls. Either way, have fun with it. Bottom line…girls at the bar aren't really impressed with slalom scores and PBs, practice or tournament. It is what it is...
  9. @OB…I knew that Goode was holding you back!
  10. @MS...agreed, but why not the 2001 year model. No difference from the 2000 year model in hull/graphics/options/etc...same boat.
  11. @OB…just busting your balls. There seems to be a TON of hype this year (seems like more than in past years) around all the new skis…not just the Goode. For me personally, I'll let the dust settle.
  12. @ncskier…some discussion here... http://www.mastercraft.com/teamtalk/archive/index.php/t-49232.html
  13. @rodltg2…Curious why you did not include 1997 and 2001 model Nautiques?
  14. For those of you who have had them done, what are your dealers/mechanics charging for a full up diatom report with the hours/rpm breakdowns?
  15. Ill take em…check your PM inbox.
  16. @ilivetoski…no surprise that a TSC 1 hull would ski and drive better than an 04 Lxi…just saying... @E_T…$15K for a PCM re-power sounds kind of steep. Wasn't @Jody_Seal doing them for around 10K and then flipping the pull out motor to save even more money?
  17. You should be able to do this for significantly less than $20-25K. Some folks will always find reasons it ain't as good as a $60K boat, but personally I sleep better with that $40K in my bank account. I guess I'm biased because I own and train behind a TSC1 Nautique re-powered with a PCM motor and Zero Off. Best thing going...
  18. Don't know about any shin guard ideas, but I've seen someone zip tie foam around the release block. Think water noodle material, or maybe even stiff carpet padding type stuff..
  19. My guess is South Texas...Austin area?
  20. I think ski boat manufacturers should consider doing all their branding of boats on the stern, like automotive manufacturers do the grill. Make that the new thing...it's what people see from behind when skiing or when behind it on the highway.
