I tried a 67" Omni sindicate that was in our clubhouse. (Thanks Dave). It's fast, stable, edges, carves, and turns great. I would like to try a 69" also before I decide. Great ski.
@wettek69, I really like my cx sl. I have a 69". (6'2", 180 lbs). This summer I got more consistent 32 mph passes, and even about 4 or 5 34's. Skiing through the winter, I hope to improve more. Yes, I think the clean edge and texture technology does help reduce drag. Good luck.
@sunvalleylaw, nice lean to. The PAC. N.w is pretty mild during winters. Good free skiing on the bigger lake all winter, and course maintainence skiing on the membership lake. Always hoping to improve in the future. Good luck, and have fun.
@Tdub, I love my 2015 cx sl, which I have been on for a little over a year now, prior to that, a tx sl. To be honest, I'm not sure which i was skiing better on, the cx, or tx., but I am sticking with the cx. Good luck.
I agree, switch to correct grip. What helped me to not over think it was, when you're gripping the handle with both palms down, you're already half way there. Then, just complete the switch, and you will get used to it, and enjoy the benefits in no time.
