  1. Comuter lane : motorcycles, and dirrect drives O.K.
  2. @dougski, I respect you're expertise. I wish my dad was alive, and on sight, as I think he could contribute. I saw him doing this stuff all my life.

    My First 196

@ozski, beautiful boat and trailer. You were smart in getting the zero off installed right off the bat. Have fun!
  4. Relax arms, yes, but to the hips, and not the waist. Look up course from the buoy, ski through the imaginary fence, try to keep the handle, proud, as long as possible, allow edge change, then reach, turn takes care of it's self, try to back side the ball, handle relaxed and to the hips, and repeat. Easier said than done.
  5. @richarddoane, thank you, Eddie, brooks, and k.c. For an excellent, fun clinic. It was great!
  6. Sorry, I did not properly think through my last post. I tried to edit it out, but I was unable to do so.
  7. @gginco, nicely said; I almost got a pb today on my cx sl; if you'r ready for a v type, more power to y.
  8. Hope the aluminum stands up.
  9. @ALPJr, sounds like you are doing some great demoing. You are a pretty high level skier, will you be skiing some sets on the tx sl, and at some different speeds, so you can compare it to the cx sl? It would be great if you do. I really like my cx sl; still getting used to the slightly different feeling, compared to my 2014 tx Sl. Weight?, 67", or 69"? Please post back regarding what you think, and how it goes. Thanks.
  10. @pgmoore, another thing that helps me on the get ups is that in addition to keeping my knees in to my chest, I also keep my knees together, and in line. If I don't, and the force of the water starts to spread my knees (legs) apart, making it hard to hang on.
  11. Likewise, just spoke with brooks. Thanks @richarddoane.
  12. @crashman, must be why the mrs. Gets mad when I dry the blacktec, inside out, draped over the back of the leather couch.
  13. @crashman, you need water exchange to pee in a camaro blacktec? It works pretty good for me.
  14. @Hallpass, given your speed, performance, and surface area needs, you may want the 71" tx, which will take you into 34 mph ( especially free skiing), or the 71" senate, that I think has an even higher performance ceiling. The 69" tx superlight might have enough surface area for you, but you should demo them, if possible to make sure. Good luck.
  15. @MarcusBrown, I just (after a good demo) moved from a tx sl to a cx sl, and looking forward to improving this summer. Thank you for your H.O. contributions.
  16. @mbabiash, I just did the A/M 3 day coaching experience near Orlando. It was outstanding in every way. I would highly recommend it.
  17. If you get Wiley's, I would recommend the pro build, vs the pro series. The pro build has a thicker gauge rubber.
  18. @dnadrifter, we bought several triumphs over the years, and they served us well. I also started skiing again with a big daddy, then a 71" triumph, when I was heavier. I have a (approx) 2009 or 2010 71" triumph with an upgraded sindicate fin block, in excellent condition. $75. Not sure where you live, the postage might be kind of high. Good luck.
  19. Great tv article. Happy birthday Mr. Horton, and best wishes for many more.
  20. Goodskier, it is wonderful that you are giving your children the gift of a early, quality start in a great sport and activity they will enjoy for the rest of their lives.
  21. @Than_Bogan, I'm sure you will be in good form in no time. I will try to transport some h2o warmth up your way when I do the 3 day a/m clinic-experience this coming weekend that the mrs. got for me. Can't wait. Hope your dock repairs went well. Good luck.
  22. @OB, it looks like paradise. Are you one of the guest coaches? If not, I'll bet you'r doing your share of coaching anyway. Make sure you sign up for the the tower crane bungee jump in town. They will calibrate the length of your fall, to dunk you in the pool if you want. They have pretty accurate weight scales. Have fun.
  23. @ToddA, very thoughtfully, and well said. Thank you for organizing it, and thank you Brian for the coaching.
