  1. @Ralph Lee‌ I agree with wish; I have lost close to 40 lbs. over the last 3 or so years, and it will really help your skiing. You will like zero off after you get use to it. Good luck.
  2. @GOODESkier‌, @SkiJay‌, thank you both. Yep, gordon is a super owner, and coach, as are the other guys and gals in helping an old beginner like me. I am lucky to be part of the group.
  3. @Waternut‌ thanks, glad to help. I store mine in a dock box, but storing it any way out of the weather, so it doesn't get all mucked up from rain, dirt, Sun, and spiders I think would work fine.
  4. @waternut, this has worked for me. Pictures speak ... Hope this helps.
  5. @Eddie Roberts‌ we mis your great sense of humor. Linda says hi.
  6. Never stop. That's what dry suits, and hot water showers are for. I don't want to loose any progress I have worked for. The northwest usually doesn't get too frozen in.
  7. What many said above. Exercise, keeps you young and fit, great friends, a challenge, I love boats and the water. And the mrs. and I can be together, especially when we free ski.
  8. @slvrbulit‌ thank you. I really appreciate that. It's been a long, fun road to learn the course, and I will keep working at it. This is hilltop lake in marysville, wash. I have been a member for a couple years now. Great group of people that are really great at helping the more inexperienced skiers like myself.
  9. @Bill22‌ wow, great progress. Keep up the good work.
  10. Quite the promotional video. It looks surprisingly sea kindly. Looks like it has good enhancements for weatherproofing.

    Trick or Treat?

@ab, that is a sharp looking boat, and trailer too.
  12. Coursing or freeing, join the passion.
  13. @SunlandSteve‌ thanks for your help sun land.
  14. Are there two models of the v type? On the home page, and the photo above it looks like one has a yellow fore-body shade, and one does not.
  15. @LeonL‌ @wtrskior‌ thanks, great pointers. Yes, I will definitely work on those things.
  16. Ballers; comments, coaching please. :)
  17. I picked up his ski and looked at it during a lesson with t.w. A couple months ago. It has a d3 type tag behind the rear boot.
  18. I finally took a ski video. This is some of it. Holy cow. I thought I was more stacked than that. As you can see, we have a lot of fun up there. Hopefully you can hear the audio. 30 mph, 32 mph, 32 mph. I welcome your thoughts, critique, and ways to improve. Thank you ballers.
  19. Switched from shorty to longy for a while in the PAC. N.w. Then the baggy over my cozy onezy.
  20. @gsm_peter‌ way to go! Improvement forward, and new pb's is a great feeling. Keep skiing a lot, get lots of good advise from better skiers, and some pro coaching, and that good mussel memory will really set in. I have two years on you, and believe me, we have plenty of time to keep on improving.
  21. @Vernon Reeve‌ yes, I do not use the Wiley's cuff holes to pull on my bindings... Too difficult. What I do is run a fairly short (long enough to get your fingers in) nylon strap through the Wiley's holes, then just tie a not in the strap. Then I punch 6 holes with a leather punch to the sides of the Wiley's finger holes, and secure tight with 3 zip ties for long term durability, so the straps don't cut and pull through the Wiley's holes, which they will. Also, don't get the Wiley's pro "series", get the pro "build". The pro "build" has thicker rubber, that enhances durability, and also is stiffer, and higher performance. Also, because I am rff, the cuffs on my front boot walk to the left on my front ankle, which really hurt my performance. What I did is put one of those little bungees with the little blue ball through the Wiley's holes to the right of the front and rear cuff on the front binding. Undue the end of the little bungee from the blue ball before you slip your foot in, then put the end of the bungee around the little blue ball after your foot is in. This eliminates the front and rear cuff (on the front binding) from walking to the right. Hope this helps. Good luck.
  22. Note to young people: the car thing was a long time ago, was very stupid and dangerous, and can easily get you and others killed.
  23. @Edbrazil‌ when dad bought the '64' caddy, he did not get the A.C. (Option), because you really didn't need ac in the n.w. I got the use of that car when I turned 16. Wow. I remember driving it home on the freeways, which were uncrowded, late Friday and Saturday nights packed with my buddies, racing other cars occasionally. When kicked into passing gear, it seemed like the whole car lifted up an inch or two. Never got caught. In the 60's, mom and dad took us kids to see the waterski follies on green lake. The spectator stands were packed, and it was a really popular, big deal.
