  1. @MarcusBrown‌, @skierman, after demoing several skis, including some high end skis, I just bought a new ho tx superlight (nobody yell at me), and my performance immediately went up a notch. The tx superlight has the familiar stability, reliability, and performance of the '12, and '13' triumph that I have really improved on, with the added benefit of a light and snappy syndicate lay up. I am getting nearly 100% of my 30mph's, and about 50 % of my 32 mph's with it, and I will work on cleaning up my 32 mph's, and beyond, the rest of the year. I may be ready for an upgrade next year, but for now I think I made the right choice. Thank you and the ho team for making these high end, light cross overs.
  2. If I may, and for what it's worth, I was told yesterday, during a lesson, to not think so much about a progressive pull, but after I finish my turn, to not be such a p----y, and get on the lean and pull as soon as I can, and be more aggressive, and do my work earlier, to get wide and early. This, I think was to improve, and help my style (weakness), and it did help.
  3. I would love to ski at the mapple facility, and ski paradise again. I thought I was done with pro lessons for the year, but I had a great 2 set lesson with terry w. Yesterday.
  4. @MillerTime38‌ I think I assumed that you were someone else. Sorry.
  5. @MillerTime38‌ if you are who I think you are, thank you for helping me with my skiing all year, and congrats at the nationals.
  6. Wiley's is outstanding in every way. I buy most of my ski stuff from them, most recently a rope/ handle, and new ski, after they let me do some demos.
  7. @gregy, I was wondering about what looks like a low taper rate, and extra support of the front, and possibly rear of the bindings. That makes sense. Thanks.
  8. @gregy, & @BMG73, thank you, I appreciate that. I shall call my dealer and make sure he has a 68" also.
  9. @Eddie Roberts‌ thanks eddie, it's good to hear from you. I am trying to clean up my 32 mph, -15 passes now. My goal is to achieve 34 mph, then go to -22. No way in to 36 mph. But I have always liked a bigger ski. I figured I would be more stable and confident on a 69", especially in a high performance ski. Instead of over thinking it I could bring both sizes to the course. Thanks.
  10. Oh, and I am leaning towards the 69.5". I am 6'3", and around 193lbs. I don't think I like small skis. It should perform better than my 69" triumph? I will see.
  11. Thank you eddie, and everybody. There are some really good prices now for the vapor alloy, and I think I can take one to the course that I ski at to demo one. My dealer told me that I don't need the green vapor.
  12. 1. About 5 days a week. 2. Yes, a larger lake that we free ski on. 3. Yes, a boat on a lift, and we can usually find other skiers. 4. Yes, a private course lake, about 20 minutes away, that I ski at about 3 days a week, 2 sets each time. 5. ^ 6. Ski in a course as much as you can. Free skiing is fun, good exercise, social, and good rope time experience, but you always free ski narrow and late, and you really need to course ski pretty often to keep improving.
  13. Serious question: sorry if it has been discussed before. Does anybody have, or know about the 2014 orange vapor alloy edition. Is it a better ski than the green vapor for 32-34 mph, 15-22 off? Thank you.
  14. @wish, ok you got me. Maybe I was trying to be too p.c., in compensating for occasional past goofy posts.
  15. @Than_Bogan‌, I know exactly what you mean about the web sight "build your boat" color scheme problem, which I noticed a few months ago. I think the root of the problem is that there are only 3 hull area check boxes to the left in the build your boat section, where there should be 4 or 5 to get the process right. I hope the management works on that, regarding the web sight. I skied behind the carbon pro during my lessons at broho, and it's a wonderful slalom boat with I think a smaller wake than my s/n 196. It's beautiful also.
  16. @gregy, nice, I would love to try a 68, or more likely a 69.5 vapor. Hi eddie.
  17. @horton, great. So, the cx sl may be a better ski in the course than the tx sl, if my new goals are to get into 34mph, and 22 off? (I know I will try them both now). The reason that I really thought the tx sl would be a logical step up for me from my 2012 triumph, is that they have similar molds, and I am so dang used to the triumph, and I have progressed really well on it, and the sindicate type lay up on the tx sl, I think will provide a real step up in performance from the standard lay up. I think it's really cool that they offer the new light lay up on the tx. I may never get through 34 mph, but i am going to try. I always felt the s2 was a little too small, and I always skied better on the triumph vs. the s2. It's a good problem to have, huh. Do you think that you might ever do an evaluation on the tx sl? Thank you very much.
  18. @horton, thank you john, for the referral to the thread on the cx, and your work on the evaluation. I have really been thinking about the tx sl, but I can see that the cx is worth a consideration also. Thanks again.
  19. Has anyone purchased an ho tx ultralight? Does the ski perform better than the 2012-2014 non carbon triumph/tx, and is it good for 34mph? Thank you.
  20. first place mens2 aquafest this morning.
  21. I thought that was Reggie in the photo with c.p., but I wasn't 100% sure. He was at bow last Friday helping cp with the lessons. Great guys. Maybe the photo was just some light humor that got taken too seriously.
  22. @robscholl-OF, thank you again for driving all day on Wednesday. That was a lot of work. @ richarddone, hope your hip is feeling better. Broho and it's people are great.
