  1. Okay here is the scenario: I just made a great three ball turn crossed the wake, early/ lots of space before the four ball. Problem is now I have to wait until I get passed four ball to start turning to the five ball. because I didn't have enough width to start turning but I felt like I did when I switched edges Had I pulled a bit longer and gotten a little wider I could have finished my turn sooner, waited less to get to the four ball because I was making a nice carving turn. we talk a lot about technique and how to do it. But what about the when to do it? Some people pull through both wakes to get around 32, some pros can switch edges at or before the first wake. (again not technique) so how do you learn/know when is the right time, can it be learned or taught or does it have to be innate? Does your perception of timing change as you get better or is it a constant? It is like jumping a mountain bike. percieving the correct velocity and positioning is as important as technique. and some have it better than others and they are better riders. Who thinks of the when and where as much as the what and how?
  2. I think I found the new technique at 43 off. try and get the back of your head to touch the water as you are crossing the wake
  3. Did anyone else notice the 6 ball at 38 and 39 off? Pretty cool
  4. @adamhcaldwell Can you explain your third paragraph. If I wanted to try what you said how would that look?

  9. How long did people wait after the surgery to get back on the water.
  10. Actually coaching vs giving advice Coaching forces you to look at physical movements differently. Coaching forces you to adapt to different strengths and body types Coaching forces you to Rethink what works and why Coaching forces you to Understanding how your athlete thinks and perceives their own movements Coaching forces you to figure out different ways to motivate your athletes “coaches” who teach the same technique/model to everyone are more advice givers than coaches So kudos for being a coach
  11. I wouldn't either when I am skipping faster than the boat.

  16. coaches eye has its own video website that you can upload, import videos, share, etc. I have never tried pulling videos from youtube to coaches eye, if you figure that out let me know. here is an example from coaches eye, also a shameless plug of my son's narrow miss at 16'4" washington state meet record last spring link
  17. @ bruce_butterfield I saw that exact thing happen first hand. Kid got in his boat old crappy outboard throttle stuck, steering cable siezed at the same time. Then head on into a barge, worst part was he had his dog with him. took a few hours to rescue and get them into ambulance. good news both survived. stupid for driving that crappy unmaintained boat yes.
  18. @bcm he is an outlier amongst the outliers @jimbrake that picture is of Renaud lavillenie the second of only two men to ever pole vault over 20 feet
  19. Now we have two new events to build popularity Trick skiing on a slalom ski through the course. and trick ski through the course while slaloming.
  20. wow great input thanks I know that eurasion milfoil is the Hydra of weeds. Every time you chop one, two or three more grow. In 4 or 5 years we have gotten to the point where you can't ski if the water level is low, our water level goes up and down a lot.
  21. has anyone had success with getting rid of this invasive species? What did you do if you got rid of it.
  22. Have you tried launching the boat with the lawn tractor? Boat is pristine condition should sell quick
  23. Food and diet is one topic where everyone has an opinion and they don't mind telling everyone else how right they are, and how wrong everyone else is. This is one of the fun "there is too much ice on top of the water to ski" topics.
