  1. While I was watching it I was thinking this guy is a pretty darn good skier, maybe a bit out of control but pretty good none the less. thought it might be someone taking a swing at 38 Then I realized it was nate at 41 DOH!!
  2. @BCM I grew up in Vancouver and have been thinking about heading over there to check out thrillium a friend of mine said it was pretty awesome. Have you ridden it?
  3. I have an 04 outback same boat just not as fancy. great boat my wife skis 15-28 @ 34 and I ski up to 35 @34 wake is nice and easy can't compare driving it to newer boats though, I can drive it straight through the course pretty easily.
  4. I am thinking there are quite a few hard core mountain bikers It seems that the two go hand in hand Where are some great vacation places to do both other than reno/tahoe I used to live there so that was a daily thing
  5. after looking at all the insanely expensive boats and truck comparison I started wondering about the biggest boat I ever skied behind and I couldn't really come up with anything bigger than an old bayliner cruiser. anyone ski behind a big boat? what was the biggest or craziest thing you have skied behind?
  6. did corey vaughn crash on shore? sure looked like it.
  7. does anyone know what actually happened? It looks like the skier knew something was up, as they let go of the rope
  8. I bought a 66.75 nano 1 xt mounted my bindings and skied four sets on it, I could barely get around the 2 ball at 28 off, switch back to my vapor 67 next time out and run my usual 28 then 32 and struggle at 35 but it felt kinda weird while doing it. It was until my last set I realized that I hadn't put the wing back on the vapor, yet I still skied the same. I switched skis like anyone else searching for more balls. Also the 67 is too small for me I feel like. So my question is why can't I ski on a goode I couldn't get it to turn to save my life, and tried their recommended settings. And why did I ski the same with no wing actually I think I could ski better without the wing or even 5-7 degrees vs 8 or 9
  9. There are a few "lesser" products out there that last as long, work exactly the same AND HAVE with the same amount of reliability with fast dependable service.
  10. Thank you All I found the serial tag and it is a 66.75 I feel relieved and a bit silly not finding it sooner damn eyes.
  11. Hopefully I can find the shine button :) @rawly what settings did you have and how much did you weigh on it. Was it a 68?
  12. @ms that is my fear is that I just got a ski for giant people caveat emptor I can't find any serial numbers on it. so I don't have anyway of knowing
  13. I just bought a Good nano 1 xt 68" (2015/16? ) problem is I was looking on the Goode site and they stop at 66.75. I skied it yesterday first time. and had 0 luck felt like it would turn fine but I would barely get to the two ball, it was truly bizarre Anyway did Goode make a 68 nano one xt and if they did was it for people way larger than my 200lbs Just trying to figure out if I just bought a ski that is way too big, or what I just bought. Or I need to do some serious adjustments Thanks Todd
  14. The washoe site is short, but they extended it a few years ago. Originally it was dug out from the freeway construction. it is private as well, and I haven't skied it so I don't how well it skis when there is enough water washoe lake used to have a course too
  15. sierra springs gets blown out fast in the day ski oasis is protected and skiable all day long hidden lake is private and exclusive bocca has a ski club the course is probably down by now plake sets up a course at lahotan or used too, and diamond springs is out there too.
  16. very cool! now time to go to the vault summit this year. :)
  17. I am 195-200 and went down to a 67 and am going to go back to a 68. It didn't seem to help, if anything I am going to blame my lower buoy count to the the smaller ski. :)
  18. Do they both have the same binding patterns, more specifically will my HO animals fit on both of them
  19. 2015 lxi 100 hours nothing really close to us or a lot more hours and money.
  20. We live in washington state and are thinking about buying a txi in florida. green cove springs and having it transported to us Anyone who has done something like this any advice on how you did it would be great. Thanks Todd
  21. This would be easy to figure out, just take the three individual event rankings, marks or even event bests. add them up and divide by three the person with the lowest number wins the best skier in the world trophy. I believe that Regina is probably the greatest and most dominant female skier ever but, @horton if you took Regina's jump distance, trick point totals and made her ski at 36 she wouldn't be that high up on the list. So, if we qualify the question, yes she could easily be the best skier if we quantify the question no she isn't close at all
  22. Good to hear. Can’t rockback without a good takeoff and can’t takeoff without a good run If you have more questions let me know. The more you are doing and coaching the more stuff I give you will make sense
  23. @Than_Bogan Most new vaulters like to jump up, thinking they are helping the pole lift them. What I have my kids imagine is this: Let's say I have a button that could make the pole disappear right at the moment you are taking off and the pole is hitting the back of the box. Where would you land? most of them realize right in the box itself or very close to it on their butts. That is jumping too the box. Now if I had you triple jumping where would you land in your first phase? Hopefully the middle of the pit with chest and hips up right?. That is jumping through the take off. You Jump through the pole by pushing with your hands, transferring all of your energy from your run into your hips and then into your hands and then into the pole. If you don't all the run energy is dissipated into space or some other place other than the pole. Remember every inch your chest moves forward the pole should move an inch forward as well. When you look at your videos look at the relationship of your chest to pole movement, you will probably see that it moves a good foot or more before the pole starts to move forward at the same. Try to get the feeling of moving the pole as much as your chest/body is, you will like the new sensation.
  24. @Than_Bogan sliding box is a must for lengthening your run. But you need to first figure out how to take off without getting sucked under. and finish the vault(pull and turn) before you move to a longer run. You are leaning forward at your takeoff and it is sucking your hips right through. Lead with your chest and hips not your shoulders and head Jump through the box not into the box. One sure fact about the vault is if you can't do it from a short run You "Won't" magically do it from a longer run. It is like thinking maybe if I try putting the rope at 38 off I will ski better. Fix the take off and everything else gets easier, 11+ is in the future if you do.
