  1. So...maybe I missed the beginning, but how long has this quad panda thing been going on? Is that the first one ever? It's the first one I have seen anyway. I suddenly feel like a second class citizen for having my panda award only being a triple.
  2. I agree overall with the sentiment that it's tough to go wrong with a lyric or omni right now. However, for best and most precise recommendation possible, it would be wise for you to provide more info. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1-NiENHZt0sC7WDBaeVk6QK9OJzQ4-DYISGE1h_PPjPI/edit A great example is that @hchwilson understandably didn't like the P6, but it is the perfect course ski for my 75 year old dad who skis like this: If anything, I would need a ski that's even fatter for him so we could slow down a bit more and start to try to get some orange balls.
  3. Dude, that wake!!! That is the exact goal you were looking for. That is so cool!!!!
  4. Also, I LOVE that you put the gas tank up front. To me, that is the most under-discussed and under-appreciated aspect of the new Nautique design is the better location of the gas tank as well as being able to fill it from both sides. In my opinion, that is really significant innovation that I can only hope the other manufacturers follow. For years we have literally picked the absolute WORST spot possible for our gas tanks on our ski boats.
  5. I'm with @BlueSki . We all want to see what the wakes look like now!!
  6. Well, if nothing else, hopefully the next guy coming on here just looking for discount codes will see this and think twice. Thank you @DavidN for saying, fairly politely, what we were all thinking but couldn't quite put the right words to.
  7. I guess I've been on this forum way too long to still not have done this eh? Shoot, I'm already a triple panda recipient and haven't even introduced myself. My name is Scott Hinckley. I've been boating my whole life. Slalom skiing since the age of 10. First tried a course probably around 06 or 07. Instantly addicted, but couldn't actually start skiing the course a lot until 2013. Now the course is where you can find me and the family hopefully every saturday of the summer. I'm in the Utah Waterski Club, primarily based out on Utah Lake. Nice to meet you all.
  8. @MattP It looks like @Horton never responded, but I know that I, personally would be interested in seeing the US only list.
  9. @Horton Yeah, just like I said, way better coaching than my kid has received. :D :D ;) ;) Good for her if that great form is just natural for her. Maybe she has had better examples to watch over the years? ;)
  10. I would say to try 34 mph at 28 off. But then you might be like "whoa!!! 34 mph!! what?? I told you I just started skiing...I'm not ready to do 34 mph." Other than that, I would agree with everything that @jjackkrash said except that I dont' believe that a tower is as big of a hindrance as he says it is. Additionally, if you have a few folks on the boat and you are out on the lake all day instead of skiing of a dock or whatever, then you really don't have the choice - you just can't live without the functionality and the storage space of that tower. So even if he is right that the tower makes the wake a lot worse, there just isn't anything you can do about that.
  11. @Horton I like your instagram comment "new PBs every day". That makes skiing with these kids super fun. It really is awesome that they go out and basically EVERY TIME they can get a new PB. Also, it's clear that Buford Danger is getting much better coaching than my kid. Her form looks really good even at a single digit age. With those fundamentals, she'll be super shredding in no time.
  12. @JGray That's funny. I don't even think about spray anymore. But ever since my son has started running the course, he basically does the same thing "Dad, how big was my spray?" It takes me off guard because it is so the last thing on my mind nowadays. Whatever makes him happy and stokes his fire though I suppose.
  13. We picked one up a month or 2 ago - a 2019 holdover model. So far it's going great. My kid worked up to 21.5 mph on the green balls and then we decided to go back to 17 mph and start getting the orange balls. He is already back up to 19.5 mph on the orange balls. Here is the latest vid. He is loving the ski.
  14. Ha ha ha!!! There's a reason Sangers are popular with the barefoot crowd and not the ski crowd. You now have lived experience of that reason. Dude can say and think whatever he wants. Your lived experience dictates otherwise.
  15. @MNshortliner Alright dude, we need some videos with that relocated gas tank. I wanna see you do something like this. That is really something.
  16. @Golfguy I would only disagree with you in firing R&D Folks. Typically the folks in the marketing department are the ones who are making the decision to not listen to the customer. R&D guys are just the geeky engineers tasked with engineering what the marketing folks told them to create. In this case, it's the marketing folks that told them to create the wrong thing. At least that's how it goes in most companies I've had experience with. Obviously every company is different. My main point here is just that the person that should be fired is the guy who decided that this boat was the goal. Not the guy(s) who were handed the goal sheet and told to engineer all the details to get there. And yes, the other guy who should be fired is the guy who decided to discontinue the CP.
  17. All I know is my move from a 99 KD6500 to a 2012 Senate was a BIG DEAL. Then my move again from my 2012 Senate to my 2018 Senate Lithium was once again a BIG DEAL. I would be curious to know what my buoy count would be if I was still on that KD 6500 right now. I have to initially suppose that it wouldn't be nearly as good.
  18. I was wiping down my buddy's GS 22 the other day. That experience made MC look even better compared to CC right now. I just kept thinking to myself "what is the point of all these cracks and crevices!!!"
  19. Epic Fail? No. Absolutely not. Not even close. But right now, MC just seems really tough to beat for the majority of folks who are in the market. I think I read on here at one point from somebody close to Nautique that everything about this boat was designed with the purpose of getting Nate through 43 off. If that's true though, then they were designing a boat that simply wouldn't appeal to a very broad market. I think a lot of ski boats get sold that never see a single 35 off pass run behind them. Lots and lots of folks buying ski boats just aren't that good of skiers.
  20. 9/10 people in the boat and the plan is to waterski? No thanks. Count me out. I love waterskiing. But there are too many other fun things to do in life. If the only option to ski is behind a boat with 9 other people in it, Just give me the wakeboard or the wakeskate and I will have a lot more fun. Shoot, just give me my mountain bike or my onewheel for that matter and I will have a lot more fun.
  21. So...I guess I'll go ahead and say it. Maybe I'm the only one, and that's fine if I am, but the amount that I care about the environmental impact of my waterski is really small. Looks like a cool ski though. If it performs great, then...more power to them.
  22. Anybody know the model year of this ski? Anybody got a take on what it ought to cost?
  23. @JackQ Yes I have. Keep in mind I don't actually get to ski very much. I probably only make it out 20 days on the good years - 10 days on the bad years. Also keep in mind that I am not a shortline skier, so it's probably safe to say that I am not putting the same forces on them as most folks on this forum. BUT, I do usually go through gloves a lot faster than that and I have been very impressed with the durability of these radars I bought 7 years ago.
  24. I've been rocking these since probably about 2012 or 2013 (I don't ski as often as most of you.) They have done really well for me and I have really enjoyed them, but I can tell that they might not be lasting me very much longer. Hopefully this new glove from Radar could be the one that finally replaces them.
  25. Bro, we just had that big thread about Rifle CO and you still want to take I-80 from SLC to Denver? Don't do it man, it's not worth it. Do this route instead and go find somebody in that Rifle thread that will give you a tow. I think there's a lake in Grand Junction as well with a course.
