  1. I still have the problem to find the icon (gear in the top right corner on either Chrome or Explorer)? How can I edit a post? Problem on my end??
  2. Started season early when water was still freezing some days... Long sets on the trick ski. Slowly improved my tricks. No trick run yet but can perform trick worth 800p. My body was more prepared when I started to slalom. After just 5 short sets I got my first complete 30@15off. Soon I got 6 back to back on 30 and season first 32. Last week after 40 trick sets and 60 slalom I made first season set with two 32's. During last 5 years I ski more and better 30, 31, 31.5 BUT fewer 32's. Recently bumped up to 34. Get same 4@34 PB. Has been so for 7 years despite better skiing. My turns seems to have improved at 32/34, I now more often complete the turn before the boie and hit the boie with my bindings. We still have 4 to 6 weeks before the boat freeze and we have to stop skiing. My goal is still a full 34 and more consistent 32's. Have had the same goal now for seven years. Seven years with 500 sl sets (100 full 32 passes. 100 sets with coaches. A lot of gym training) has not taken me closer to the goal... Still happy, still hopefull 61 year young skier. Soon -it will happend.
  3. One ski partner. Different ski style (its Friday) Peter J 34@38 off Hmmm, was it shoulders vertical or horizontal to the water? Let’s try for vertical! Plenty of ski in the water, light on the line for smoot turns. Better be safe. Why limit it to the ski? 95% of me and the ski under water. Point the ski in the direction you want to go. Check, I can see the exit gates already from boie #1 When loading for the wakes. Keep your handle close to your equipment. Done, handle close to my bindings. Hips FW but not to much. He actually made ball 2 and almost 3 skiing more normal...
  4. Awesome! Can anybody do those trick runs today? Are all tricks still in the rule book?
  5. @eleeski ... Experience from digging 2 lakes??
  6. Any experiences going from the 2017 shape (2016 Vapor shape) to the 2020 Senate shape?
  7. Great info. Thanks. Just ordered new Pulse boots. I hope the Pulse will expand like the Profiles. My Profiles have given quite a bit. My feets seems to have inherrit some geens from Donald Duck. Wide and flat. Tried Vapors but the Vapors are too narrow even without liners...
  8. Any experience of the New Radar Pulse boots? I have heared that they are a bit lower compared to the Profiles. I am affraid thery are more narrow?
  9. @HMan66 There is no reason you can not improve course skiing at age 53. I started course skiing at 53. Could merly start on one ski then.... Now pb 4@34 15off at age 61... Ski the Radar Senate. Keep on training!
  10. Water can be cold in Canada. Maybe consider a closed toe boot like the Profile?
  11. Question? Does this site usually have poor or nice conditions? I.E. What was normal expectations? Is the site very sensitive to wheather? How bad is just a little bit of wind?
  12. My 2 cents from Sweden. There are about 66 clubs in Sweden, about 90 000 lakes plus coast. All cost and many lakes are public water. Few public courses that I know of. Our club run kids ski school every summer for 40 to 60 kids. Any skier with a club membership are welcome as guest to ski free with own gas (resonable times). Average membership in Sweden is about type 200 usd per year. Club is for rent for events almost any day. Do we grow the sport? Maybe slowly.... Btw. U21 Worlds. Sweden men slalom places was 1,6,7,14,15,15. Six Swedes top 15! Hope the sport will grow! Hope to see some Ballers ski in Sweden in the future
  13. My 2 cents.... I am a crappy skier. Skied my old Senate with factory settings. Direct after my new Senate but I had to put in the new fin in a hurry without tools. Same boie count during 6 passes. When we later adjust the fin it was 1/3" wrong in both lenght and depth.....
  14. Hmmm. I just learned to ski a little bit more closed to the boat. That helped me get more load on the back arm, much earlier and got better, more stable turnes.... Could I have been too open, especially after the centre line?
  15. Anybody that have skied recent year models? Especially for less advanced trickers...
  16. Is there a need for a release person starting to train Step over line?
  17. @BraceMaker I am a novice in fin measurements but?? Can measurements this way really be independent on caliper dimensions ??
  18. It seems like we are spoiled in Sweden... :) There are about 10 clubs within 2,5 hours drive from centre of Stockholm. I guess the membership fees for all those 10 clubs together would be type 2000 usd/year. But I can be a free guest at most clubs as long as I am a member in one of them.
  19. Ski club. With no traffic 15 minuters. Normally 25 minutes. Worst 1 hour. 20% of the time it is not skiable due to wind and waves.
  20. @jercrane Thanks. Can you add the new links when available?
  21. @"Keith Menard" Fwiw A search in Swedish old digital newspaper archives on the word Waterski=vattenskidor. There are many (100) hits before 1850. Skis where like canoes. Boats was steam ships. Ralf Samuelsens relatives came from south part of Sweden.
  22. My trick buddy rides the KD and I the Quantum. Our experience is that the Quantum is a bit calmer and the KD faster/easier in surface rotations. Just beginners 2 cents.
  23. Fyi. It is not available in 44" or larger.
  24. I ski the course on my trick ski every now and then in order to improve my stance and crosscut. I do not know if it is of any benefit?? Best pass is about 14m 28,6 kmph. Type 28off 18 mph.
