  1. @webbdawg99, Incredible!!!! video please!!!!
  2. I know it is not feasible or even probably wise, but when Utah Lake Course one is operational, it is the best lake in the Country. Doesn't matter how windy, it is always smooth. As for width, about 10 feet past the balls on each side you will end up in the reeds! But, if you don't mind hiking out on a bad otf, nothing beats it! This is @Scotchipman s wife Kelly. So, @epyscs, make your lake just like this one, and you will have the perfect shaped lake.....Oh, as a side note, you don't have to worry about the ratio when the deepest spot is at most 4 feet! :)
  3. Shout out to @Klundell and @scotchipman at their tournament today at Goode Lake. I believe Kevin ran 5 @ 38 at 36mph and Scot ran 1.5 @ 39 at 34mph. All I can say is 36 mph is so dang fast!!! Congrats to both. Nick ran well into 41 and there were some other bid dawgs there that were ripping it up! For guys like me who are on the other end of the spectrum, I truly am in awe at how much talent and balls and athlesticsm it truly takes to do what these guys do, and they make it look extremely easy!!! This will be a great thread to post your scores and get some Baller recognition!
  4. Post some new pics of that beautiful baby! A lucky day for that baby to be born two not only loving parents, but parents that will teach the baby correctly! "Reagan, stay in a stacked position when drinking your bottle!!"
  5. @mkerzie I would totally take you skiing, but @Horton has banned me from his lake. Something about me and Zebra mussels can't get in the water with him.
  6. @dtm, I didn't know you ski at our site at Utah Lake. We are almost to the point of skiing ike @AB. I can't help with your settings, but I have certainly learned how to get up in 2 feet of water with both feet in my boots, lay the damn thing down on its side, and replace your swimsuit every month!
  7. There are not many things more beautiful than my boat, but this certainly is FAR more beautiful. This was taken a couple of weeks ago and this little beautiful 3 year old girl got up on skis for the first time. I couldn't be a more proud papa!
  8. @Marco don't get me started on this one. I started, and dropped around 20 lbs and then all hell broke loose! They thought I had diabetes, my thyroid went haywire, and then it got really interesting. I feel like an old man! Needless to say, I got everything figured out and am now back on track....espeically since @scotchipman and @Garn are giving me a ton of grief! I will report back my progress and keep this thread alive. I am glad you guys are finding it beneficial!! Marco, you owe me a pass this summer! Moral of the story, don't take steroids all thru college!!!!! And, like my dear friend @AB would say, stay the F#$% away from the sweets!! uh....and......uh......BEER!
  9. @ral Don't forget she is also a beautiful woman who is cool as hell!
  10. @kfennell If you want to feel better about that video, freeze the frame at 1:04 and then make a big huge poster and plaster it on your wall.

    HELIX

@SkiJay, Had I not been driving, he would have barely made 32! :) I can swerve and shoot with the best of them. :)
  12. @Malibuboats91, your a good sport! Seriously, look on this site at the different skies being advertised. There are a lot of great skis that would serve you well.
  13. @Horton if the Carbon Pro came in an open-bow version, I would never own another boat! That wake is butter, and the boat is good looking.
  14. @Wish you didn't recommend the one thing that would greatly assist a skier at that speed, a helmet! So, let me do it for you. @Malibuboats91, there are many skies that would work for you, especially if you are going to start skiing the course. In fact, there are a bunch of advertisers right here on this site that have phenomenal products! When you purchase, have them throw in a helmet so that you can keep coming back here for more abuse from a bunch of middle aged guys and a few beautiful ladies!
  15. Only a skier would have an awesome sticker on the truck window along with hangers in the truck bed!! How funny! I have several in mine as well. Good to see you back at it @Skidawg!
  16. @Tbub You start with one foot out, and I usually end with one foot out....after all my damn OTF's Maybe we should switch! You keep both feet in at the start and I will keep both feet in at the end! And @AB, I feel you brudda!!!! Sip it, Grip it, and rip it!!
  17. @GregDavis We should start calling you Mr. Miagi! Did you have them bend their knees and breathe whilst waxing?
  18. @dbutcher makes a great point, and I am glad he said it...I was worried I was wacko for doing the same thing @Tbub. I am a big dude, and I am a double boot guy. When I start, instead of having my ski stay upright, I literally tip it way forward as you have less drag. Many times my tip actually goes under the water at my starts. I tuck up in a ball and roll forward and then sing a tune for the 2.5 seconds my boat takes to get me up. Many times, I almost disappear under the water, but I haven't missed a start this year yet. and btw, 64 ain't that old, age is not a number, but rather the mileage driven! :)
  19. I admit, I have farther to go than most skiers here, but like all great pursuits in life, no matter what rung I fall on the ladder, everyone is reaching for the next step. Here is the problem that is preventing me from taking that next step....I am having a difficult time keeping my balance after my offside turn. Let me explain. I am RFF and I have great gate shots and have a ton of time waiting for the first ball. I make a good fast turn and then load up and the problems start. I am always "barely" making 2, 4 and 6 and I am playing catch up on my strong side. The mechanics I have been working on are as follows:1. Turning my hip and upper body towards the boat. 2. Putting the majority of the pressure on my right arm and not on my left. 3. Pushing up my hips as far as possible. I don't get it! I am usually pretty athletic, but I am sure struggling. K, there is my dilemma, and I am open to all feedback, no matter the pain level.
  20. That is terrible news! What a crazy world this is at times. Love and light to his family and friends! Life is fragile, and we should always know that things can change instantly. I want to express my gratitude for all of you guys! Having this website and the comradery it offers makes my days much better and I appreciate the many friendships I have created through BoS.
  21. @Horton what is the commute from your lake to Salt Lake? Thinking of buying a lot on your lake so we can be buddies, but I need to be at my office at 8am each morning. thoughts?
  22. funny @scotchipman I went out last week and got to the course and was like, "where the hell is my handle?" I had to use @Garn's uh, less than desirable, store-bought-mass-produced p.o.s handle while being pissed off about my beautiful baby being lost. One week later, I was going to the course and driving down the freeway and voila, I see a handle sitting in the middle of the damn freeway. Pulled over, used my cat like reflexes to dart out into traffic--staying in my stacked position of course--grabbed it and went and skied today. It is not straight anymore, has a bit of a double bend, ripped the hell out of the rope, but still managed to pull my fat arse out of the water six times. Drove back to work, ordered two new handles from Brenda and now plan on sending this back to her for her marketing! Great day and fantastic Handle!!!
  23. Still waiting for the perfect opportunity to come along. I feel I am management material.
  24. The only thing I could think of that takes more balls than jumping off a ramp at a high rate of speed is doing it while on a para ski! Your the man @usaski1! Thanks for sharing.
  25. Going strong in Utah. 3 trips to the course this week
