  1. I rarely if ever have any issues signing in. I use 10.7.5 version of OSX. Also, I use Chrome as my browser.
  2. @BlackDynamite I am positive that your incredible skiing is due solely to how incredible your dock training regime is. Put that rope around a pole and then lean way way way low to get into a perfectly stacked position. I promise that you will be running into 43 off in not time flat!!! Also, when you finish that, maybe you could move to Korea--I have a good buddy who used to be a baller that would love to ski with you!!!!
  3. @Wish you don't look like your avatar! (playing suspenseful music) Your name is Wish isn't it? I guess as long as you KEEP MOVING FORWARD, it is all good.
  4. I don't believe @Horton has the qualification only for elite skiers, but rather "qualified." The last thing I want when reading Advanced Topics is a bunch of answers from guys who "think" they have the answers, but really don't--me included! There was a thread last year about a guy--who has subsequently been 86ed by our fearless leader--who argued at nauseum about how dry water training for proper stacked position is just as effective as being on the water. While it made for an entertaining read, I personally only want the very very few "qualified" peeps answering and discussing super advanced topics. Now if Horton wants to make a new thread about being a smart ass, I would put myself in the running as the resident authority in that area!! Maybe @AB also.
  5. @ToddL Phenomenal Video!! BTW, Who is Steven Tyler? It said in memory of him, and if he was a skier, I would like to know more about him, so we can truly honor him
  6. Sorry @6balls You are completely right....I found another one of you...one that is NOT cut out. BTW, do you find it a bit difficult stacking up coming off the offside of your turns?
  7. Well, @6balls, @A_B, @Skoot1123 and @SkiJay and I did get together and have a few beers last month after a ski trip in Utah. I believe we have a pretty good picture of the festivities afterwards. Other than the six handles we broke, we had a great time! I am the one in Pink!
  8. apple computer no problem ever. On my iphone, I have to re-log in every day. It doesn't hold me logged on....however, that is a small price to pay for this site.
  9. @Rpc29 That is a secret. As it moves along, I will gladly divulge. Stay tuned.
  10. I am looking at a site for building a private lake and am a bit concerned I have enough water shares purchased. I have two questions. First, is there an easy way to figure total volume of a lake? I know how to figure general cubic volumes, but with the many-changing levels on the bottom of the lake, I am having a more difficult time nailing down exact figures. Second, I am looking to find an accurate way to determine what water needs I will have throughout the year, in both evaporation, and seepage. Thanks in advance.
  11. @Garn. Last time I checked THAT is legal in Utah!!! :)
  12. Love love love mine! The only thing better than the handles is Brenda!
  13. Proud to say that this boy is still 6 foot 7, but now is DOWN to 246!! I have lost close to 35 pounds in the last 3 months. Still have about 20 more to go......I am feeling great, eating healthy, and looking forward to skiing without a 45 pound dumbbell stuck to my ass!! I will post some picks when I shed the last few pounds!! @A_B come on brutha, do it with me. I am doing the CarbNite diet, and after eating clean all week, I get one cheat evening per week, and I literally go to town with every damn thing I missed that week.....However, what I don't miss is the extra weight!!!!!
  14. @Wish Having had the chance to sit down with Terry, that is an excellent choice. At the risk of sounding like a kiss ass, I would have to say @Horton. I would love to see how he balances it all--family, web-site, job, kids, skiing. That would be a good day. My second choice of someone I HAVENT sat down with would be Regina. I got a chance to visit for a minute at a tournament she was at, and her knowledge of this sport is vast! I don't know of a pro that WOULDN'T sit down and have a beer if they have time, as they are so humble and grateful to be doing what they are doing.
  15. I would say that Terry would be head-to-head with Nate if he had a few more inches. He is probably the most technically proficient skier I have ever seen, and, he is still within a few balls of Nate. He is not only losing inches from his height, but also from his reach--a true double whammy. I will say there is not a nicer and more humble ambassador for this sport than Terry, and I am damn proud to know him!!!
  16. @thager boats have a bit more electronics now than they did in 72. I am sure there are boats that are completely fine, however, like I said before, it is a crap shoot. Could be perfect, could be a disaster. This boat was in the water for a considerable time, and the windshield was completely destroyed and had to be replaced. Also, when I sat in it and tried to turn on the stereo, it shorted out, but I was able to eject a corroded CD that was left in it. I am still toying with the idea of purchasing it, because I am 10 minutes away from the shop, however, it would be more of a risk if I was out of state. I wish their was an open-bow version of the carbon pro, because I could spend 20K more and have a brand new boat!!!!
  17. @Ed_Obermeier I don't understand this thread???
  18. @6balls, Okay, have him call me if he would like. I pmed you my cell. It was owned by a guy who towed it behind his houseboat at lake powell without the front bimini on and sunk it while towing it. I think it was about 15 feet under for a few days. Croft is an excellent shop and they are extremely honest--i won't take my boat anywhere else. It is a bit of a crap shoot when water is involved, because you may not notice something for a year or so later. I have been talking with them about it because I know if I buy it, they will take care of me if issues arrive. I would worry about someone out of state buying it however. (although, I am sure they would rather sell it out of state!) @scotchipman would be very happy if someone buys it other than me, because my wake is cherry and he is a prima donna about what he skis behind.
  19. @6balls I would always check out a boat, even if I am interested. Call me and I will fill you in on all the history of the boat. The biggest risk is significant water damage.
  20. @Horton that is the question men have been asking for generations? "What do I have to do to attract more?" If you figure it out, let me know.
  21. that looks like Utah Lake with all the damn carp!!!
  22. I would say that carbon pro is about as close to a hover board as they get. Finally got to ski behind one, and all I can say is, "wake, what wake?" that thing friggin floated over the water!!!! I think me wants one!!!
  23. That skier with the mustache should join Ball of Spray. He would definitely learn to have a better stacked position as he crossed the wake! :)
  24. @mwetskier I appreciate your feedback. I am open to all possibilities. Please note, I did and will continue to leave the offer open to her to come and ski at any time if she comes up north. I also understand and respect anyones right to ski with or whom or when they want at any time. For me it is simply an issue of attitude. And @ShaneH I would never expect to go swim at Dell's house, but I would also never expect Dell to start dictating to me that his swimming pool is on a different level than mine. I have never asked her for a pull, nor would I ever ask either. So, I am not expecting a thing from her, except to understand she is not the only one with a pool!
  25. @eleeski Damn, I wish I could have your type of rough conditions!!! Starting in november, water temp will be in the 40's and air temp will be in the 40's and 50's. Our only panic is the lake freezing over. We follow the 80 degree rule (90 degree rule for @scotchipman) add the lake and air temp and if it is 80 degrees or more, I will ski!!! Nothing quite like winterizing your boat on the ramp as you pull it out of the water. I HAVE GOT TO MOVE SOMEWHERE WARM. I am about to go into a huge case of Post Tramatic Ski Disorder!!!!! Please spring get here fast!!!
