  1. Old school potato gun? Built out of 2 inch pvc, fueled by hair spray, oh yeah.
  2. Many years back we put a portable course in a cove early one morning hoping it was the right spot for the forecasted wind. Along comes a pontoon boat trolling with side rigs and down riggers, he shouts at us: "you guys are using an awful lot of lake!!" This lake happens to be 9 miles long and 2 to 4 miles wide. He was heart attack serious, I don't think any of us could even come up with an answer,
  3. A buddy of mine has a 99 response. A couple years ago 2 of his 3 fins somehow came off, leak.......big leak.
  4. If you've found a setting you're happy with maybe not, definitely do some research on what the letters/numbers do. When zo first came out i straight up couldn't ski it. I was around 185 and i just couldn't get used to the squish, after learning about the settings i settled on c2 as the least infuriating but still wasn't thrilled. I've been running c2+ since it became available but from what i understand I'm definitely the minority.
  5. I rotate back and forth from a straight handle to bent, i've been using masterline's largest diameter for years, seems to work well for me.
  6. I'm sort of curious, is the lakeland/winter haven area any better?
  7. Raw water pump is bottom left in the pic
  8. I had a carbed version of that motor in my fist malibu. If the alternator isn't acting up your probably fine to leave it. My 2 cents on tune up parts is discount inboard marine, call first to verify correct parts. The impeller is a bit if a pita, as i recall you need to remove the drive belt and take the pump off the motor, then take the pump apart.
  9. Can usually find mobile 1 15w50 at walmart,
  10. C2+ please, I'm a little chubby. Hit it.
  11. I feel like it takes me a month to get close to last years feel and line lengths. I'd like to think its both fitness and weather/water temps.
  12. One of the courses went in today in western ny, dock goes in saterday, hope to ski sunday.
  13. Maybe after a discussion they will agree to fix it next winter?
  14. How about not frozen solid? Or not 80 mph winds and no power for a week (just last weeks storm) Or not winter storm warning for the next 2 days from the noreaster at our door? Sorry I might be getting a teensy bit grumpy.
  15. Anybody ever forget to get their buddy to unzip your drysuit before they head home?
  16. The vinyl looks sort of like woven mat? Looks neat but I kind of wonder if it's harder to clean? It's a beautiful boat for sure.
  17. If any of you near the north east are considering a boat upgrade the Mastercraft dealer just south of Rochester N.Y. has a new 2016 Prostar that they've got at a pretty attractive discount from "list price". My wife and I gave it a good long thinking over and decided to hold on to our current rig, even a great deal on a Prostar is pretty steep. They also made me a pretty fair offer on my trade. Mark's Leisure Time Marine, they've got quite a few pics on their website.
  18. Do you have a local scuba shop? The one near me is a bit pricey but fast and good.
  19. I was curious so I measured, 9'10" and it leaves just a couple inches to spare on either side to the guide poles. We walk it in with a few people when it gets put away.
  20. My 2004 rlxi lives in my garage in the winter, the door is just shy of 10 feet wide which is snug for the width of the trailer, the boat plus the trailer tongue is around 22 feet without the platform and no foldaway trailer. The guide poles on the trailer are several inches outside the tires.
  21. This morning I woke up to a miniature village on the pond all set up before sunrise, it was probably 16 degrees. My wife says she had seen a flyer.......perch derby......NO......NO FREAKING WAY.
  22. Because you've had entirely too many skis over the years, kinda not fair really. :)
  23. The elite was pretty sharp, but my #1 would be the early Mapple 6.0, gloss black with subtle blue flake, still my backup. I wasn't a fan of the matte.
  24. Possible, I always get the custom handles at 1.183, that's enough of a knock on the wallet,
  25. Master line handles are available in multiple diameters.
