  1. I'm only 170# but I've been C2+ for years, tried to switch once or twice but just too much "squish" in the wrong places.
  2. I might be wrong but i feel like the echelon was the same hull as a response, neither boat had a trunk until maybe 98?? A hull change in like 97(??) made some wake improvements but it was still pretty good prior to that.
  3. The older star gazer systems would take a while to settle if you throttle too far past the ski speed, with practice it does work pretty well, pp customer service is awesome and the newer software is supposed to settle much quicker, would also be a far cheaper solution.
  4. Would have been more believable if priced closer to what the rest of the market looks like.
  5. Might be a scam but there's a 17 prostar on lakeland cl for 42k, low hours, 6.2, dual axle trailer. Sounds very suspect to me considering the market and i have no direct knowledge of it,
  6. Most skis do that in flat water, kind of hunting for one edge or the other, try resting in the center of the trough on either side of the wake.
  7. We have an 18 prostar, it's about 15 inches at the rear corner and 18 inches around the front cleat/windshield area. Not sure if it'll be exactly the same on a 22/23 or not tho.
  8. I haven't been able to view profiles for some time now with an android either.

I could be wrong but I always thought dot required safety chains and cables be crossed,

Honestly never occured to me that an aluminum draw bar was even a thing.
  11. Fwiw my wife would definitely prefer a foam or sea deck covered platform to save a bit of wear on her elbows and knees.
  12. A buddy of mine does my teak platform with cetol every 2 or 3 years, pretty much maintenance free and looks mint but kinda slippery,
  13. Some season's in the fall I feel cold water and some I don't, but when it gets noticeable it always feels like I'm narrow for no good reason. Gate was good, hookup was good, I should be outside the buoy line but I'm narrow. Like the drag on the ski has increased. My only trick is a little less wing angle, otherwise I'm not a fin tweaker guy.
  14. As long as the skier and the hunter and the duck all have their ss card you're good to go.
  15. I've always heard they're pretty easy to work on, one thought would be ask around and see if a transmission shop nearby would do it if you carried it in.
  16. Call around to a few sign shops, I bet someone can do 1 custom piece and get really close to original for way less than the whole kit.
  17. Sunscreen in my gloves or booties is really annoying, i usually wash hands and feet on the platform before i gear up if I've used sunscreen over the last couple hours.
  18. You guys need to try to fix cars in upstate new york, get all the sockets that might be close, keep knocking rust off until you find a socket thay fits, standard or metric, whatever works. Tool trucks are selling half size sockets!!
  19. I don't know if this will work on a malibu but I accessed that area on my prostar last weekend, the motor box is attached to that floor section, unclipped the box struts, removed the 4 screws that hold the rear floor section down, pried the floor section up from the rear and propped up with a 3 ish foot prop stick sort of thing. There are 2 grease fittings back there and one of them can't be accessed without raising the floor section, then some cleaning while it was open.
  20. Maybe I'm remembering wrong but I recall that Tgas rides a completely one off ski, one half is a particular model and the other half another, totally custom mold?
  21. I wonder if you can remove the water lines from the cooler and sneak the cooler and lines backwards with the trans, would be cleaner.
  22. @Cnewbert , the very first time my nephew was in my boat he stepped on that lever and stripped it, @Broussard , if it was on the right side you wouldn't need to service it! I love my prostar but there's 1 or 2 things that are a teensy bit annoying.
  23. I'm definitely no pro but I've been doing it wrong all along, once upon a younger time I ran into 38 most every set, I've tried once or twice to switch and that's a no-go, if you have a physical limitation that says that grip or nothing then go ski and have fun,
