  1. If the placard is the main concern, maybe you could get one one for an 02 or 03 197. It says capacity 10 people or 1300 pounds. my 04 says 6 people or 900 pounds. I've thought about doing the same since I can't imagine anything changed. 2002 Owners manual Link
  2. If you do have throttle by wire, you might take a peak at your engine's ECM to see if it was made by Econtrol; you might be able to just bypass perfect pass and get zero off, which I've heard is much less finicky. See this thread for similar question Link
  3. How cold are we talking? I ski well into fall when it gets below freezing as well; I usually do the bulb as @Razorskier1 suggests and/or lower the lift so the boat is sitting in the (relatively) warm water overnight.
  4. @Horton is this a promo boat or a lease or...?
  5. when you ski over the ball... https://www.instagram.com/p/BXzR5rjnZAj/
  6. @Razorskier1 @FWinter I would also throw in for this!
  7. Bummed to hear this as this was going to be my first real tournament I was going to attend. Since I was already planning on driving to Milwaukee from Minneapolis and took the time off work I'd be game for a clinic!
  8. I'll be there friday & saturday. Anyone know what parking will be like? thinking of bringing my bike to get around but would like to have some camp chairs with me B)
  9. Dont have much advice to add except you're doing a lot better than me and I've been slogging my way through a course for 6 years! Whereabouts in MN are you?
  10. I think rice lake is a private lake, no public access.
  11. Don't knock it till you've tried it, but whenever i'm feeling tight in the hips I always go for the Asian squat!
  12. I hate going up to fisherman, I never know if they are going to be cool or be jerks about it. The worst was when a fisherman tried to cast at me...
  13. Happens at about 27 minutes left of the third stream:
  14. @dchristman I didn't play around in the menus too much, I did notice a no-skier timing check option though.
  15. I ran version 9 in the course today for the first time and it was MUCH better! full course times were within .02 seconds (several were dead on) and the worst buoy times were .05 away from ideal. No rodeo rides, just a nice steady pull. Driving for my partner, I could definitely feel a difference as it engaged and it reacted faster to get to the appropriate RPM before entering the course. If anyone's been fighting stargazer and is on the fence about version 9, I'd say go for it!
  16. @disland is right about them filling with water. It was hard to start when they'd fill. I've found if I squeeze my quads together they don't fill.
  17. A good listen! did not know @Horton 's dad made the first waterski lake, that was cool hearing about.
