  1. I'll also add perf ski is just down the road from lapoints, so if you go to one you should stop by the other.
  2. Really depends on accommodations you're looking for. If you want to stay in a VRBO type house on the lake with your own pool, Swiss is hard to beat. If you want to stay in a resort near Disney and just drive to the lake to ski, then lapoint's is probably the most economical, especially since you can pay for just a ride without coaching.
  3. Ok @Than_Bogan I'll play, I did get the poll right since I knew a bit about this. a fun way to picture it that I've read... Say you can shuffle a deck once a second. Pick a spot on the equator of the earth, and take one step every billion years (all while shuffling every second). When you make it all the way around the earth, remove one drop of water from the ocean. Do the same thing until the ocean is empty. Once you have the ocean emptied, law down a piece of paper flat on the earth, then fill the ocean and start again. Continue this process till your stack of paper reaches the sun. Guess what? Your number of shuffles still hasn't gotten to the left most digit of that number.
  4. @Horton beat me to it! that video was going around the office this morning. Almost is worthy of it's own thread...
  5. @"Keith Menard" I went through the same thing when I installed my heater. I found that by cobbling together the parts vs buying a kit I was only going to save <5% and would have had to buy from at least 3 different places. Not sure it would help with your shower, but I made a little writeup on TT of my heater install: http://www.mastercraft.com/teamtalk/showthread.php?t=84895
  6. Get about 3000 lb of ballast, maybe that'll get you low enough in the water to squeeze a newer boat through ;)
  7. Under the "personal interests" section on my resume, it says 'shortline slalom skiing', so I'm going to go with what @Than_Bogan said since I'm in the 15-28 off range B)
  8. @mmosley899 @UWSkier hehe the old boot is still attached to the ski ;)
  9. Same here, I've ripped 2 rear boots in the same spot. Fortunately, I found a 2016 B stock rear boot at waterskis.com for half off, just a vibrant color. I'm hanging onto the broken boot in hopes I can somehow stitch a fix and keep a backup.
  10. Love that the boat path vid was included, was bummed I never saw the boat path from Nate's DQ'd world record.
  11. Can't help you much either, I'm 50 miles from there and on public water infested with surf boats. Hope you find something!
  12. What kind of insert are you using? page 15 of this catalog says for a wood threaded insert you'd drill a 1/4" hole for an 8/32 screw. https://www.ezlok.com/assets/documents/EZLOKBrochure_2014.pdf
  13. Also have a 197 but also wonder if we would miss the sundeck in a new prostar. The previous gen of Malibu Response had the sundeck up until I think 2016 with a walk thru bow, and the bow seems to sit a little higher. A lot more freeboard than the 197 in the back too. Always thought that'd be a great option for the family.
  14. wow what an opportunity! wish you the best, I am insanely jealous :)
  15. 15 OFF 28 OFF 35 OFF ... depending on your abilities :)
  16. I agree with @oldjeep I did the same thing on my crv when I added a hitch. It was also 3-4 years old at the time and definitely had some rust in the threads. Running a tap through the threads was the way to go.
  17. Congrats Scott! Was at lapoint's in March and saw him tearing it up a couple times, truly impressive!
  18. @oldjeep there is an endless supply of cool water mere inches below the engine :)
  19. Whatever you decide I would make sure you get the OEM kit. The aftermarket ones tend to install below the bumper whereas the OEM ones are usually integrated into the bumper. Below the bumper would barely be off the ground. OR you could always DIY :) Here I found a step by step video:
  20. I've flown with the series 3 a couple times. I feel a little silly walking through an airport with that hulking case but fortunately it's only from baggage pickup to the rental car shuttle that I actually have to haul it. Most people think they are golf clubs ;) Haven't had any issues checking the sport tube, it usually takes a little longer to show up in baggage claim though. It did get delayed in Orlando coming home this spring flying Sun Country, probably due to TSA manually inspecting these large items, so keep that in mind. I got it the next day fed ex from the MSP airport.
  21. Gosh what a coincidence, Friday I dropped the wife and MIL off @ epcot and drove straight to lapoint's at about 2 pm, that took about a half hour, and then at about 3:00 I went to performance and that took about 15 min because it was major rush hour and I kept hitting the lights. Don't remember exactly how long it took to get back to epcot from Perf but couldn't have been more than 40 min. Got my sticker for my sport tube though!
  22. Thanks @Jibbo, cunningham's law proves true again! B)
  23. For those of us from 'murica who are used to freedom units: 16m = 22off 14.25m = 28 off 13m = 32 off 12m = 35 off 11m = 39 off
