  1. @Jody_Seal don't have tools or experience pulling bearings, figured it's not that much money to replace the whole assembly.
  2. Finally found where I'm taking on water, got to replace the water pump to correct this leak that only shows itself at speed:
  3. I was fighting star gazer all last season, I need this update! Anyone know if there's a chance they'd reduce the price for problem-laden stargazer installs?
  4. You got this Jim! I need to take a nap after reading @6balls post about your activities!

  6. wow you looked just like the dumber teutul son
  7. I am not affiliated but Warman lake in Washington has the best website for this, they've got live data on weather and multiple high resolution web cams warmanlake.com/weather.php warmanlake.com/webcams.php Would love to get a setup like this!
  8. "Waterskiing is such an amazing sport that can be enjoyed by all ages and abilities. Doesn’t matter if you’re carving up the lake or turning buoys at 38 off, we’re all chasing that same feeling. " Well Said!
  9. @MS we were out there last night, ]When it was my turn though I was having trouble seeing the buoys... dang early sunsets! :(
  10. Family driving? Ok! or Alright! buddy driving? Porno!
  11. Is max speed always 36? I thought there was some competitions at 34
  12. Stole this from ttu over on TT but thought you guys would enjoy: http://www.tulsaworld.com/sportsextra/outdoors/bostiancolumn/coyote-lake-is-water-skier-s-hidden-haven-close-to/article_151012e7-cc76-5b05-bd3a-f053d913ea65.html Glad to see I'm not the only one who's dreamed of a heated waterski lake!
  13. I have to chuckle as I read this thread only because this seems to be the norm for me. Today for example, got off work early today and was on the lake at 3, lake was glass... except for a surfer. Bah, went anyway, then while taking a break at one end a jetski with two tubes starts weaving between the buoys. I'm sure they had no idea, the ignorance is unbelievable! Meanwhile our bay is empty and still glass... It did settle down a little and I got my opening pass on the 6th try, so I got that going for me, which is nice.
  14. I think a picture might help if it's not too much trouble... I was poking around this weekend and was measuring ~13.5V at the perfect pass fuse with the engine running. That seems pretty good to me?
  15. another thing that hasn't been mentioned is that a comp boat is essentially flat on the bottom, so it can "slide" in a turn where as a runabout will just "lean" on one side of the V hull. my terminology is probably poor.
  16. Sorry for the delay! was on vacation... Should be able to tackle the wiring if I buy a relay. I'll see about raising that bracket too. Anyone else ever lengthened that bracket? I'm guessing something with this shape snugged down tight would do the trick: http://www.homedepot.com/p/Superstrut-2-Hole-90-Degree-Angle-Bracket-Silver-Galvanized-ZAB201EG-10/100390324
  17. Don't really have any good advice to add but just know you are not alone. Working through similar issues.
  18. Had this same thing happen on mine 2 summers ago. I was headed out of town and needed to fix it fast for the family so I dropped in the whole assembly that i got from my local dealer (waterskis.com) I saved the old one though so I can rebuild it for the next time it will inevitably go out.
  19. @GregHind thanks for your continued interest in this thread! I'm an electrical engineer so yes yes no problem rewiring. Have not heard of that particular kind of wire but could probably find something similar. Tried to post a picture of the overall setup from mobile, might have to figure it out on the computer though. With a stopwatch can accelerate from 32 to 38 in about 3 seconds. Feels pretty quick. Took another closer/longer video of the servo test, I think this should accurately show everything that is going on. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=yTuWuVCHPTM
  20. @BrennanKMN as someone who drives a plow truck on occasion, I would have LOVED if quadrasteer caught on and had become mainstream.
  21. It won't be on the prostar, at the bottom of the page is this disclaimer: *DockStar is available on NXT20, NXT22, X10, X20, X23 and XStar, only as part of the Sport Handling package.

  23. here is the proper video. I think my 1/4 throttle was a bit more like idle position... http://youtu.be/-uzZCMLSlww With engine running srvON is 12.9. SrvOFF is 14.1.

  25. Here's a video of the servo test. It gets slack when throttle is closed, but maybe that's ok? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4b-zjiF5a40 Also, SRVON= 10.7OK SRVOFF= 11.80K perfect pass video said that lower voltage may not be a problem if the engine is off (which it was)
