  1. We have basically the same results. Would love to know f there is a way to keep the footage steady.
  2. @h2o.nhk does the winner have to actually get in the water? We used to ride jumpers, do a dock start and ski back and sit on the dock.
  3. A little of weather and fatigue for me. Plus the shirking daylight makes week night skiing difficult.
  4. Just as it says, what will cause you to stop skiing for the year
  5. I asked my 8yo son if he wanted to go out and get a set in before it got dark last night, he grumbled about just wanting to rest and watch some TV. I pulled up Tribe Of The Future on the TV and as soon as it was done he was getting his bathing suit on. We have his first tournament this weekend, this video really has him interested i tournament skiing. Thanks Marcus.
  6. We are in the market for a newer boat, upgrade to something with ZO. In looking at a modern boat, what are the main things we should watch for? Obviously a visual inspection, signs of damage, abuse, drive and ski it, etc. But what else? Compression test, Have a dealer pull the computer data? I am not looking to go nuts on an inspection, just hoping for some advise on what else we should be looking out for. Thanks!
  7. My son oftentimes say "Hit the hyperdrive Chewie"
  8. My 8 year old is running the course now and beginging to really work to get further along. He is currently on a Radar Prime binding which he has not failed to come out of yet (knock on wood). I am looking at moving him over to either an OB4 or Reflex. I really like the OB4 allowing for release in all directions which seems safer but Reflex (at least around here) is the main system used. My other hangup is both systems are not recommended for skiers under 90 lbs. A couple questions - is one system more accommodating for changes in shell size? (at 8 he will be growing fast) - any experience with kids using either system Thanks.
  9. FWIW, I had to fix an insert on my Vapor. I picked up a the same size insert as the original and a tub of JB Weld waterproof epoxy (putty). I ran a binding screw into the insert with a jam nut on it (to keep epoxy from filling the threads) packed the old insert location with the epoxy and screwed the new insert in. The majority of the epoxy I put in the hole came out around the edges of the insert but that gave me confidence that the insert was coated. A little clean up while the proxy was still playable and the repair has held up very well.
  10. @Orlando76 it is a curved outdoor sofa
  11. Just wanted to say a huge thanks to Manon Costard for the clinic at our lake on Weds. All the skiers had nothing but great feedback on the coaching and Manon is very friendly and approachable. My son had a great time.
  12. Is anyone a little concerned about being in Milwaukee given the recent events?
  13. I have a fairly good collection of used skis from modern to ancient that I would like to hang in the garage. Does anyone have any ideas for how to securely hang the skis on the wall without drilling through them?
  14. My son is 8 and on a 63" TRA with a rtp. The skis is great for him, starting to speed up running the course regularly. Very happy with this choice.
  15. After skiing with the wrong grip for nearly 30 years I started the switch at the end of the weekend. Last night was my first day (3rd set) of getting close to being back to running my opener. I can see some potential for significant improvement down the road. My off side turns are much improved and actually almost feel better than my onside now. The part I was not expecting was how sore my forearms are getting, switching the grip works totally different muscles.
  16. I found oversized stainless inserts at Ace. I installed them with a screw in the insert using waterproof epoxy and left the screw in until the epoxy dried. No issues thus far.
  17. Have you looked into sail shades?
  18. Thanks @skiinxs. I just looked at your pictures, that looks good. I had thought about using this but was worried about the moisture from the lake making it peel. How long have you had it on your dock?
  19. Our dock is ~ 8-10 years old, pressure treated 2x6 boards. We have never put any type of stain or coating on it and it is beginning to show. The boards are dry and in some areas beginning to cause some splinters, usually in the kids feet. What are you guys using a a coating (stain, sealant, etc) on the dock? I am looking for something that will hold up well to the high moisture environment and ideally wouldn't require a ton of sanding.
  20. @eleeski I am rff, however his 4 year older cousin is lff, that may be economically more advantageous for us during the growth years.
  21. My son will be transitioning from 2 skis to one very soon. How do we determine which foot forward he should be? Is the whole idea of pushing someone and seeing which foot they catch themselves with a good indicator?

    SUP

I am looking at paddle boards to use around our lake. I have only ever used the Costco variety of SUP but am curious, is there a huge difference between the Costco SUP's and the ones from companies like Radar or Connelly? Are they worth nearly double the price?
  23. Thanks guys, I feel better making the request. I just didn't want to ask for something unrealistic.
